Need to Recapture, Can Someone Advise?
Hello all, I've searched this topic but I'm not sure I understand some of your advice as it relates to my problem to I thought I'd better ask my specific question.
I captured about 4 hours of interview footage and stored it on a Lacie external HD and now the HD won't mount and I need to re-capture the footage. I used Capture Now (I'm new to this and perhaps this was not the best way?) and I've been told FCP can recapture the clips from each tape - there's 4). Can someone tell me how to do this? Is it done through Media Manager or Log and Capture? Does it just go through one tape at a time, fast forward to each clip and reconnect, etc?
Any help would be appreciated. The footage is interviews with family members that are all in their 90s and time is of the essence Thanks to all!

Select the now offline clips in your Browser, control click on them and select "Batch Capture"... follow the prompts...
I'm hearing a lot of folks with LaCie drives are having problems because the FW port needs a solder... might open the drive and see if there's an obvious broken cable there... I'm having the same problems with my LaCie's and going to open them all up to see if I can't figure out what indeed to solder.

ThanksSome may need a CD while others may need a DVD or can use either medium. Why not call your printer, tell them what you've got and ask them what they need to do the job you want done? That way, you'll be working with what he/she needs to complete the job properly.

According to that, the OM-D E-M1 is supported by Camera Raw 8.3 which is compatible with Photoshop Elements 12. You should try the trial download first to make sure you are happy with it.
Once you have downloaded and installed the trial version you will need to go to the help menu and select Updates..
If you decide to buy it, you can convert the trial version to the full version by supplying the new serial number.
I would avoid the Mac App version and don't get the upgrade version unless you have an older version.

If you see "Could not sign in, please check your network connection and try again" when signing in to your Apple ID
Update to the latest version of iOS.
Verify that you have a data connection by going to www.apple.com in Safari. You can complete Apple ID activation using Wi-Fi or a cellular data connection. If you need help connecting to Wi-Fi, follow these steps.
If you're using Wi-Fi, make sure that your local Wi-Fi network is using the recommended Wi-Fi settings.
Sign in to your account and ensure that the primary email address and alternate e-mail addresses have been verified. If verification is pending, follow the instructions in the email Apple sent to that email address to complete verification. Or remove the e-mail addresses from the account.
If your Apple ID isn't an email address, you can change it. The Apple ID that you're using to activate FaceTime or iMessage must be an email address. Find more information on how to change your Apple ID.
Tap Settings > General > Date & Time. Make sure that your iPhone is set to the correct time zone. If Set Automatically is on but the wrong time zone appears, turn Set Automatically off and choose the correct time zone, date, and time.
Enable iMessage and FaceTime while connected to a different Wi-Fi network (in a different location) if a cellular data connection is not available.

All you have to do is click History from the Safari menu bar. The page you were reading should be in the list.
And, you can "search" your history. From the menu bar click History > Show History
Type in the name of the website in the search field bottom right corner of the Safari window. -

My disc drive on my imac does not appear to be working. It takes the disc in but then spits it out without reading it. I have thought about purchasing an external disc drive, can someone advise me please?
Try the following:
In Finder, select the problematic volume and then press command-I.
Expand the Sharing & permissions section if it's collapsed.
If the section is locked, then unlock it by pressing the padlock button and then authenticating as directed.
Tick/check Ignore ownership on this volume. -

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
If that doesn't work quit the Facebook app. Go to the Home screen and double click the Home button. That will reveal the row of recently used apps at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold on the app in question until it jiggles and displays a minus sign. Tap the minus sign to actually quit the app. Then tap anywhere on the screen above that bottom row to return the screen to normal. Then delete the Facebook app and download it again. -
I am unable to access the restrictions in the accessibility settings due to the fact It is password protected. I have just purchased it so it is brand new out of the box and I have not set a password for it and I wasn't issued one with the iPad air. Can someone advise please.
They don't come with restrictions enabled, you have to turn them on and set the passcode.
When you do try to enter the restrictions area you are prompted to enter a passcode, but that means you're making it.
I'd take it back to where you bought it from and have them unlock it. -
I recently upgraded both my 4s and iPad to to new iOS 7. Now when I use either camera I can't take night photos. I did look into other forums and one said that there is a lightning bolt in the pure left hand side of the 4s...not on mine!

Yes. Get an adapter from the mini display port to HDMI and connect the HDMI cable to the TV. For audio you will need a separate connectors from you audio output port to the RCA connectors on the back of your TV. Use an extension and a 'Y' connector. If you MBP is a 2011 model then it will also transfer audio and a separate cable is not needed.

tomleoThat's a Swing tutorial. The idea is you learn Swing, and then use the things you learned about to create the application you want. There is nothing special about a feedback form, it just uses elements common to almost any GUI app.

Bought ipad around 4 months ago and have been using the magnetic cover that also turns into a stand. Sadly it got knocked off the meeting table and has shattered the glass. This has been taken into the Apple store in central Sydney where they were incredibly unhelpful and told us, you have to make an appointment over the internet. Unless we are buying another computer they really don't care. Makes me feel quite ill, especially as we have so many apple products.
