Need to reinstall Acrobat X Pro; part of my CS6 Design?

Help. Need to reinstall Acrobat X Pro; part of my CS6 Design?

In order to install Acrobat X you need to launch Setup(.exe or .dmg) file for Adobe design Std/Premium and there you will get check box for acrobat x you just need to select the check box for acrobat x only that will install acrobat from you.
If you don't have a download for CS6 you can download it from Download CS6 products.

Actually, you can and have downloaded from there, because that message only happens when the download is finished.
The message is entirely normal, and is Apple's way of encouraging the world to use the Mac App Store. That doesn't help you because Acrobat isn't in the Mac App Store - it isn't allowed there.
So, what to do? Change your system settings
Please follow the steps given below to resolve this issue -

  • Do I need to reinstall Acrobat 9 Pro ?

Instructions on my CS5 Design standard say i need to uninstall earlier versions of Acrobat 9 Pro.  I have Acrobat 9 Pro that I installed alongside CS3. Are the versions different or can i skip this step and use CS5 with my already installed version?

If you are at version 9.5.5 that was the end of the line for Acrobat 9.x.  You are correct that Acrobat 9 is no longer supported.  Adobe is only supporting Acrobat X and Acrobat XI at this time.
If you need to reinstall Acrobat 9 though you can still download the installer bits here:  Download Adobe CS5 Free Trials – All Direct Links without Akamai | ProDesignTools
Make sure to follow the directions carefully and sign into the Adobe Trials page first with your Adobe ID.

  • HELP:  Need to reinstall Acrobat X Pro

I own Creative Suite Suite 6 Design and Web premium ver.
After the last maintenance update to Acrobat X Pro I was getting hundreds of Distiller errors and Bonjour errors.  After trying a "repair" of Acrobat Pro X with no joy I uninstalled it.  Downloaded a fresh copy of Acrobat X from the Adobe site and am trying to install it.  It is rejecting my serial number.  This is the SAME serial number shown on the ABOBE site AND on my boxed product.
I need to be able to contact Adobe for a solution but can find no way to do so.  IS there a phone number I can call because I need Acrobat installed and functioning w/out errors!
    Thank you!

    Hello ~m,
I'm very sorry, that unfortunately these efforts have not been successful, so I'd like to give some more detailed descriptions:
The software always install as trials, when you input your serial number or log into CC (if these are Creative Cloud versions) then the trial disappears and the software is activated.
    I qoute from another thread:
Please first try to delete the OPM.db before anything else, we only recommend the re-installation when we've tried all the steps possible.
    1. Clean Up cached user login information
    2.Close the Creative Cloud application.
    3.Navigate to the OOBE folder.
    Windows: [System drive]:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
    Mac OS: /Users/[user name]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE
    4.Delete the opm.db file.
    5.Launch Creative Cloud.
... and Adobe has provided this Troubleshoot Creative Cloud download and install issues
... and what concerns Cleaner Tool: The order varies depending on your individual needs. Please read all my proposals first, so you can better choose the first step:
    1. Maybe you have to activate/deactivate, so please have a look there:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-deactivation-products.html
    2. Sometimes, we know in the meantime, the "opm.db file" is the culprit. In this case you should delete it (see above).
    3. Be careful with (de)installing aso. by (de)installing by your own resources. In this case you should CC completely delete and reinstall by help of Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. (A try to uninstall by own resources is not enough!)
I quote: Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool helps resolve installation problems for Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Creative Suite (CS3-CS6) applications. The tool removes installation records for prerelease installations of Creative Cloud or Creative Suite applications. It does not affect existing installations of previous versions of Creative Cloud or Creative Suite applications.
Please use: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html  and follow the prescribed sequence of operations.
    Good luck!

  • Need to reinstall Acrobat from CS6

We purchased CS6 back in December from a local retailer. Acrobat X Pro was a part of it. Our new iMac doesn't have an optical drive, so we had to download CS6 from Adobe and enter our product code, etc.
The other day, Acrobat started acting bizarrely (kept asking me to agree to the terms of use repeatedly), so I uninstalled it (not the whole CS6, just the Acrobat portion of it). Now I would like to install Acrobat again but I don't know how. Do I have to redownload the entire CS6? It takes all day long. Is there a way I can download only the Acrobat X Pro that came with CS6 and enter my serial number?

In order to install Acrobat X you need to launch Setup(.exe or .dmg) file for Adobe design Std/Premium and there you will get check box for acrobat x you just need to select the check box for acrobat x only that will install acrobat from you.

  • How to reinstall Acrobat X Pro? I purchased Acrobat X at a retail staore and Acrobat X Pro from the Adobe Website.

I just installed a Solid State Hard-drive on my computer and am now looking for a way to reinstall Acrobat X Pro that I purchased from the Adobe Website. I purchased Acrobat X from a retail store.
I dont need to install Acrobat X from the Disc before I install Acrobat X Pro I purchased from the website do I? And how do I install Acrobat X Pro anyway?

    Hi Sonoma707,
There's no difference between the installer on the disk and that available online.
You can download Acrobat 10 Pro from : http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html
and use the purchased serial number to activate the software.

  • I need to reinstall acrobat 9

I need to reinstall acrobat 9 after having hard drive replaced. I have the serial number. How do I reinstall the software?

The same way you did it last time. If you failed to make a backup of the install file, you can get it at http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html. This time, please back it up to a CD and/or a backup HD. Notice that older versions are no longer available. These downloads are only for Pro which was the trial version. If you need the Standard version you would have to check at ProDesign (Adobe Acrobat X (10) Pro, Reader, and Suite Direct Download Links | ProDesignTools). Other versions, like the upgrade, are not available as far as I know.

  • Reinstall Acrobat X Pro on new laptop?

I reinstall Acrobat X Pro on my new laptop?

Did you reinstall or what? If you had AA X installed on a previous laptop, you will need to deactivate it and then install it on the new system. If it is Win8, then you in for possibly finding it does not work, particularly for a 64-bit system. At least, once the install is done (assuming it is successful), you will then need to install the updates.

What version of OS X? Some people have luck by clearing their caches. This can be done with Applejack in 10.5. Onyx will work in SL.
