Need to reinstall adobe acrobat

need to reinstall adobe acrobat on my computer

What happens when you try? What version of Acrobat are you running on what OS? Is your Acrobat install a standalone installation or part of a suite?

I upgraded my MACBook Pro to Yosemite and now receive an error message that I need to reinstall Acrobat in order to run updates.  However, I can not find Acrobat 9 Pro for MAC online.  Please help.

That is correct Steelgrrl you will want to locate your installation media and copy the installation files to a USB drive on a computer which does have an optical drive.
Alternately if you purchased from Adobe directly and choose the download option at the time of purchase then the download will be available under your account.  You can find more details at Find a download link on Adobe.com.

  • Need help reinstalling Adobe Acrobat X Standard

I am having trouble downloading Adobe Acrobat X Standard on my new Dell computer. I have the disk and the serial number but when I try to download and I put in the serial number, it states that it is not valid. The program came on my old computer that crashed recently. I am able to download it as a trial only, and it says I can enter the serial number later. I'm betting it won't let me use the serial number I have though. Any suggestions appreciated!

CatASpy this is a somewhat common inquiry from customers who purchased Acrobat as part of a bundle from Dell.  Please see http://forums.adobe.com/message/4612770#4612770 for information on how to locate the serial number included with your purchase.

  • Reinstall adobe acrobat 8.0 standard

    Dear Adobe,
I need to reinstall Adobe acrobat 8.0 standard after formatting. Unofrtunately I have not a backup. I have the serials but not the original install files. Is there anyway to download somewhere the files?
    Many thanks

Only the Acrobat 8 Pro for Windows link is available there and entering your Acrobat Standard serial number into the Acrobat Pro installer will not work. A separate Acrobat Standard installer is required.
Are you trying to reinstall on a Dell? If so, you can get the software from https://smartsource.dell.com
Other than that, I'm not aware of any links for Acrobat Standard 8, sorry.

Brianb58753445 I am sorry you are facing difficulty contacting our support team.  Please make sure to sign into http://www.adobe.com/ under the Adobe ID/e-mail address tied to your purchase of Acrobat X Professional.  You can find details on how to locate the account with your registered serial number at Find your serial number quickly.
I did review the account you used to post to this forum and their is no software titles registered so forums are the only option given.  If you are unsure which e-mail address/Adobe ID is tied to your registered software title then please contact our chat support at Contact Customer Care.  If you are not receiving the option to chat with a member of our support team then please utilize a different web browser, tablet, smartphone, or computer with that link.
I would recommend having any alternate e-mail addresses or phone numbers which may have been utilized when registering Adobe Acrobat X Professional prior to contacting our support team directly.

  • Not able to reinstall adobe acrobat 9 pro for mac

I have to reinstall adobe acrobat 9 pro for mac -- I had to reinstall the full CS5 package, and I had no issues reinstalling Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator from the original disks, but when I insert the AA9 Pro disk, it appears to download, and I'm able to open it, but as soon as I eject the disk, it disappears. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. (not sure this has anything to do with it, but the other CS5 disk in the suite package -- for indesign, photoshop and illustrator -- prompted me for my serial number and product code, but when I inserted the disk for AA9 Pro, that didn't happen.) Any suggestions?

There is some process for the CS version where you are supposed to open one of the other products and then complete the Acrobat install/activation. It seems a bit strange to someone like me without CS, but I have seen such several times. You might want to ask in the CS forum about the details. The details of the install is about all you may need to go to the CS forum for -- other Acrobat specific questions are fine here.
If you wait, it may be that other CS users will be by to help with the variations for that install.

  • Will uninstall/reinstall Adobe Acrobat 9 affect PDFs already created?

I am receiving a message that I must uninstall then reinstall Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro to fix a problem. Operating system. Windows 7.  Problem on laptop only.  No problem on desktop.  Error message says: "Licensing for this product has stopped working.  You cannot use this product at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling this product or contacting your IT administrator or Adobe customer support for help. (148:3)"  If I uninstall / reinstall will this affect the PDFs already created in My Docs?  Is there another way?

The process with not affect the PDFs, but I would be concerned about registration and such. If you uninstall without deactivating, you may lose the second install option and have to call Adobe to reset. I would try a repair first and see if that helps. The repair can be done from Control Panel>Programs & Preferences (since you apparently cannot open Acrobat).
If you do uninstall, do the following before reinstalling: run http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html and remove any left over parts of the Acrobat folder. If Acrobat is part of a CS installation, you may need to check there (CS forum) for the proper way to reinstall.
If you have an upgrade, then be sure to have the SN of the previous product available.
