Need to reinstall older version of CS

I had to wipe my hard-drive and need to reinstall CS 5.5 Design Premium. Where I can find a copy of this software to download so I can reinstall my CS?
Thanks,
William

William if you choose the download option at the time of purchase then please see http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1006208?tstart=0&promoid=KBHJQ for information on how to download your purchased Adobe software.
If you did not choose the download option then you should have the installation files on a DVD which came with your purchase.  If you are no longer able to locate the installation DVD then please see http://forums.adobe.com/thread/981369 for information on how to download older Adobe software.

Google Toolbar doesn't support newer versions of Firefox because Google decided that its functionality was mostly built into Firefox itself now or otherwise available via a Firefox addon:

Note that Firefox 4 is not supported by Mozilla anymore. To get the required security and stability updates, users need to install the later Firefox updates (currently Firefox 7..0.1).

i downloaded reader 11.3 ,do i need to uninstall older versions ?

If you have Reader 10.x or 11.x installed, there is no need to uninstall.  Older, or much older versions should be uninstalled before installing a much newer version.

  • Reinstall Older Version of Server

I updated my computer and Server got updated to OS X Server. I now can't access anything in my server. I need to know if there is anyway
I can uninstall this version (the update) and reinstall the older version. Or if there is any other way to fix my problem. I primarily need to to replace the data volume, but it will have to be done via the terminal since I can't access it through server. Are there any other ways I can get this done?

I can't help you. But when I upgraded my hardware I wasn't happy with 10.10 server, so I wanted to downgrade the server OS on my new hardware.
The newer hardware wouldn't allow me to put any OS on that came before the OS that was preinstalled so I wasn't able to downgrade.
    Good luck!

  • Reinstalling older version of itunes

Yes, I am one of the unlucky who jumped on upgrading itunes and having crash problems. How can I install older version? I tried (filehippo.com) but it failed because I have the newest version. If I uninstall itunes in order to reinstall, will I lose my library? (this cannot happen, lol.) I loaded ewido and stand alone of quicktime, cleared files and cookies and still having probs. sigh Thanks, Mis

Realize that the older versions of iTunes may not read the Library database file created by more recent versions (the 'iTunes Library.itl' file).
You should not lose your PC music files, but your Library database may be unreadable. This file contains Ratings, Play Cpounts, Playlists, and Last Played attributes.
Make sure you make a complete backup of your Library information. These are the files you need (not all may be useful in a downgrade, though):
    1) All music files in their current folder structure (usually located in and under the ‘iTunes Music’ folder)
    2) The Library database file: ‘iTunes Library.itl’ located in the ‘iTunes’ folder
    3) The Library XML file: ‘iTunes Music Library.xml’ located in the ‘iTunes’ folder
    4) Any XML playlist files you created for Playlist retention
    5) The two iTunes.pref files (optional)
    -- C:\Documents and Settings\<your username>\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iTunes.pref
    -- C:\Documents and Settings\<your username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Apple Computer Inc\iTunes.pref
    6) The XML file of Ratings, Play Counts and Last Played attributes saved from the main Library and created by Otto’s SaveRatings script (also optional, but recommended):
“Download this: http://ottodestruct.com/itunes/SaveRatings.zip . It's a program, just run it like any other program. Run it on the machine where you're copying the info from BEFORE you move the files to the new machine. Click the "Save Ratings" button and it'll create a ratings.xml file. Now when you move the files, move the program and this file as well. Then after you make your new iTunes library, run it again and click the "Restore Ratings" button. Voila, all your information is back in the Library. Well, most of it anyway, it's not perfect. It'll tell you what songs it couldn't figure out though, and there's usually not very many.”

  • Do I need to uninstall older version of Photoshop first?

Nowhere in the FAQs or Install instrucitons, either the text or video install instructions, can I find any reference to the need or lack of the need, to uninstall an older version of Photoshop prior to downloading and installing the newer version. Specifically I will be upgrading from CS2 to CS5.
Should I then assume it is not necesary? And if so would it be wise once the upgrade is done, that then I should uninstall CS2?
    Thanks
Forgot to mention I am using an older but competant desktop which funtions fine using CS2. Windows 32 bit, XP Sp3 Home Edition, 2.56GB RAM.

There is no need to uninstall CS2 before or after. You might find that some things are easier to do in CS2, creating PDF presentations etc. (now moved to Bridge)

  • Need to reinstall deleted version

To install a current version of firefox I was prompted to move icon into applications folder, but to do this I had to uninstall previous version, only to find that current version is not compatible with my older mac.
How can I find, and reinstall the older version I had before and is it possible to retrieve my previous bookmarks?

Firefox 4 and later require at least OS X 10.5 and a Mac with an Intel processor, so if you can update to OS X then you can at least still run the current Firefox 16 release.
Note that Firefox 17 and later will require OS X 10.6 and later.

  • Need to download older version because computer crashed.

I recently had my computer crash.  I need to reinstall my applications but they are old versions and no listed.  Now what?

You can most likely (depends on how old) download the trial versions of the software thru the site linked below and then use your current serial number(s) to activate.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site and have cookies enabled in your browser or else the download will not work properly.

You must have quicktime to use iTunes

Select iTunes from the list of currently installed programs, then click Remove.

  • Final Cut Studio 2: needing to update older version before install

I am trying to install FCS 2 upgrade from FCS, but it tells me I have an older version and that it "needs to be updated" before I can continue. The manual says that "To avoid compatibility issues, the Final Cut Studio installer requires you to update all Final Cut Studio applications to the version included with Final Cut Studio 2." I am not sure what this means, since I am just now installing FCS 2. I've read the messages here about upgrading from FCP 5.0.4, my FCP version, to 5.1 via a crossgrade on disks from Apple. Does this mean that I need to buy this crossgrade before I can finish the upgrade to FCS 2? This requirement is not listed on the FCS 2 box, but I can't seem to find anything else that would "update" my older version. And is this true for each of the other applications in the suite?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

No, you don't need to buy the crossgrade. I just updated the PPC version of FCS to FCS2 yesterday. (I had transferred these applications over to my new Intel Mac from a G5 even though I knew they wouldn't run on the Intel Mac until I could update with the Universal version). What I did end up having to do was to manually delete everything from the PPC installation (applications, preferences, application support files, etc.). Then install from the FCP2 disks, having your old FCP registration number ready to enter in the dialogue box that comes up when you try to upgrade. While the installer says you are upgrading, in fact it installs the new universal versions of the applications.

  • Need applescript studio older version

I have been asked to program for a company. what I would like to do is go back to an older version of Applescript studio what actually uses Applescript so I can create on interface with drop down windows and that cool floating gray-ish window. I dont know Obj-C.
what version of AS would that be. thanks for the info.

AppleScript is a set of system components, so you can't just drop in an older set.
AppleScriptObjC does use AppleScript, the main difference is in the way it accesses the Cocoa frameworks - AppleScript Studio essentially uses a bunch of terminology and handler wrappers around Cocoa methods that the Studio development team have gotten around to including, while ASOC can call Cocoa methods directly (a bit cleaner than Studio's call method kludge). You don't really need to know Objective C, but it does help a little when looking at the documentation - I know just enough to get an idea what some code snippet is doing, but don't ask me much more than that.
Older AppleScript Studio projects can still be edited and compiled in Snow Leopard's Xcode, so the components are still in there. Since Apple wants everyone to start using the new framework, the older project templates have been removed, but they can also still be used. If you really need to develop a new Studio application, for example to use on older systems, you just need to do a couple of things.
    1) The AppleScript Studio palette can be enabled in Interface Builder by using defaults write com.apple.InterfaceBuilder3 IBEnableAppleScriptStudioSupport -bool YES
    2) You need to get a copy of an AppleScript Studio project template. If you have access to a Leopard system installation, the easiest way would be to make a copy of the desired template from the */Developer/Library/Xcode/Project Templates/Application* folder there, for example the *AppleScript Application* template (you can also download the old templates from my iDisk here). You probably shouldn't modify anything in the /Developer folder, but you can use custom project templates from your user's *~/Library/Application Support/Developer/Shared/Xcode/Project Templates/Application* folder, so copy your project template there (make intermediate folders as needed).
Once the template is copied, you can select it when making a new project and use the old terminology as usual.

  • What happened. Running windows 8.1 adobe did an update to latest reader version and broke it. now cannot reinstall older version.  r

Adobe updated reader to latest version and broke it.  tried everything on the adobe troubleshooting guide.  uninstalled with intent to install older version, but now that won't even work.  Old version was working fine- now I cannot access any of my .pdf files.  trying to get work done - totally frustrated and disgusted.

If you are in Windows -which you haven't said- you can try using this tool to first remove all traces of Reader from your computer:
    http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html
Then, you can download the full offline Reader installer from
    http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
After downloading, restart your computer and run the installer before doing anything else.
