Need to send mail to user while clicking update button

Hi
I am new to APEX.
I have a requirement. When clicking an update button the a mail should automatically send to user mentioned in the form. How can i achieve this. Please help.

Auto Population of Email Definition fields while sending mails to user

Hi,
I have the requirement that after a resource object has been provisioned to an user, a mail should be sent to him for confirmation.
I am able to successfully send mails to users after the resource object has been provisioned to him by making the configuation settings in the OIM system.
I have made use of a Resource Object , Resource Form , IT resource of type mail server , Email definition etc.
The point is while provisioning the resource object I am populating the User Defined Fields. These fields are visible at the xlWebApp console through the resource form. I am populating these fields while requesting the resource through the xlWebAPp UI.
Now i need to send mails to the user with these fields populated with the values that i m providing while provisioning the resource. Currently my sent mails just consist of plain email definition with a subject line and a body text.
Please let me know how can i include the values in the populated fields in the body of the mail through settings in OIM.
Since i m a QA person i cannot go ahead and write code for creating an adpater for this task. Kindly let me know is there any way by which I can do the same through config settings in OIM.

Actually i have a resource object as "Laptop" suppose, so for me the user defined fields are Laptop_type, RAM value, ROM Value and Emp ID.
These fields are made visible as UDF through Pre-pop adapters and all the other required settings.
While provisioning the same in the xlWebApp console I am populating them.
The resource form for me (Form Designer for the resource object) is made visible and i am filling in values while provisioning.
Now while sending the mails these values should reflected in the mail body for the fields.
Eg: Subject [hi] Mail body [ The following resource has been provisioned. Laptop_type : Dell, RAM value: 512, ROM value: 40, EMP ID: 123] where these values are filled in the resource form while provisioning the resource object.
Pleased let me know how can i send such mails through config settings in OIM. Right now my mail simply looks like
Eg: Subject [hi] Mail Body [The resource has been provisioned to you]

I am using apex 4.2 and oracle 11g XE. I need to send mail so I used the following code:

It is going t apex_mail_queue successfully. Then I used the following code:
which one i should use:
1.
     wwv_flow_mail.push_queue(
        P_SMTP_HOSTNAME => xxx
        P_SMTP_PORTNO => 'yyy
or
2.
     APEX_MAIL.PUSH_QUEUE(
        P_SMTP_HOSTNAME => xxx
        P_SMTP_PORTNO => yyy
Also what else I need to send mail and what should i ask DBA to provide me so that mail can be sent successfully.
Please give some idea.

You should use APEX_MAIL.PUSH_QUEUE witch is documented

Parameters

p_smtp_hostname
SMTP gateway host name
p_smtp_portno
SMTP gateway port number
Note that these parameter values are provided for backward compatibility, but their respective values are ignored. The SMTP gateway hostname and SMTP gateway port number are exclusively derived from values entered on the Manage Environment Settings when sending email.

Dear All,
I am using MSSQL SSRS 2008.
All the reports run properly when viewed via a web browser. However for subscription, I am having a strange
experience.
The subscription having intermitten failure. I need to execute multiple times to get it work.
Following is the exception I am getting:-
Failure sending mail: The user or group name 'xxxxx' is not recognized.Mail will not be resent.
Failure writing file DailyPolicyExportCDN_ST@timestamp : The user or group name 'xxxxx' is not recognized.
Following is the exception I retrieve from log files.
webserver!ReportServer_0-2!1b0c!07/31/2014-05:25:09:: e ERROR: Reporting Services error Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.ReportServerHttpRuntimeClientDisconnectionException: A client has disconnected from the Report Server Web service application

According to your description, you can access your report successfully, but it fail to send e-mail subscription. Right?
In this scenario, since you can access the report successfully, so this user has permission on report server. Please go to E-mail setting in your Reporting Services Configuration Manager, check if the current user has permission on that SMTP server.
If this is still not working, please recreate the subscription and try again.

Please check table SOST. MSGV1 field might hold this info.

I'm trying to do this: once the user logged on, the user can click a button to run an application. If it's the first time he/she use it, it'll let user to download the program and then run it. How can I do that?

Weird thing about when user click Update button

Hi,
I got a very weird thing when i want to add some my code in button "1" on click event. I use below code to capture the on click event when user click "Update" button, so i can do some tasks(assign some fix value to a specific field). I found i can capture the event only once. Once the document is updated and i open second recordl then my code is never exexuted then. No error, no exception. Is anyone know what happen?

Self registration & needs to send mail from admin to user.

Hi friends,
system needs to send an e-mail from the administrator to the user, informing the user that self-registration was successful.
i have made the congifuration as mentioned on sap help. i mean "ume.notification.
selfreg_performed = TRUE"
but still the user not getting emails automatically.
can any one assist me on this case.

But i have a small doubt notification mail "user successfully created" going to the Guest user from administrators mail, but administrator account not getting any mail. i need to get that mail in our administrator inbox. how to get this mail.

Basic List:- Need to get data when user double click on report output

My requirement is to display asset details as a report and when user double clicks on the asset details, transaction AS03 need to be opened.
The output layout is as follows:
Company code    800                             Asset class 111

when user double click on Asset 1 of Company code 800, then transaction AS03 need to be triggerd. But when I use ATLine selection. I only get the Asset1....details in the sy-lisel. But I need Company code for triggering the AS03 transaction.
Please let me know any way of getting company code along with the Asset 1 ......

Concurrent Error Alert Need to send mail

Hi Everybody,
My Requirement:_
if any concurrent program completed with error, it need to send an mail alert notification to the users.
My Environment:_
OS : OEL4U5
DB : 9.2.0.8
Apps Version : 11.5.10.2 (with ATG RUP 7)
Steps i have done:
1) OS level Mailer configured and am able to send a mail.
2) From the application level regarding workflow notification all the services are up and running and am able the receive test mail from application to my mailer account.
Issue:
For alert configuration i referred this mention meta-link id *"How To Send A Notification For A Failed Concurrent Request [ID 730657.1]"*
But for me it showing an error in alerts *"System Alerts are disabled because of following: Logging is disabled"*
for this log disabled issue i referred this doc but in my case its not worked *"System alerts in OAM are disabled because of the following:Logging is disabled [ID 455937.1"*
Kindly suggest me to step forward

Now am able to receive the error concurrent alert to the user mail perodically.

Issue Currently Facing:_
If i run the Periodic Alert Scheduler concurret program in alert manager manually am able to receive the error concurret report with log file to the user mail id.
At the same time if i schedule this Periodic Alert Scheduler concurret program for every *10 minutes* am not receving any error concurrent report and logfile to user mail id.
Kindly Suggest me i need to schedule this Periodic Alert Scheduler concurret program perodically for every 10 minutes at the mean time error report mail need to receive for users mail id.

Need to send mail from Microsoft Exchange 2007 account(different from Gmail) on behalf of another Gmail ID. How to configure that ?

I have a Gmail ID (e.g [email protected])
I have a Exchange ID (e.g [email protected])
I need to configure exchange account (2007) such that I can send a mail from my Exchange account but at the receiver end it looks like it was sent from ([email protected]).
Both the accounts are my accounts.
I need this because I do not have access to my Gmail account from place where I access the internet and I need to send the mails from my Gmail account only.

So you want to spoof your e-mail address.
You can make your Exchange server send as any address you want. Just create a different mailbox with that address as the primary (reply) address. It has to be a different account.
However, be aware that many systems to which you send such mail to will bounce it as suspected spam because they'll detect that your server is sending mail from Gmail but your server is not Gmail.
