Need to skip page break between header and Detail sections
Hello,
I am combining two reports in one report (one in header section and another report in the body section). when this report is run, there's a page break between these two sections. Is it possible to eliminate it? Ideally I would like the detail section to start as soon as the header section of the report is completed in the same page instead of starting (detail section report) in a new page.
Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks,

How to validate date between Header and Detail Block..
Hi All,
I was trying to find a way where, suppose I enter 'from date' and 'to date' in the header block.then in detail block all 'from dates' and 'to dates' should be restricted between the dates entered in the header block.

Smartforms: no page break between last line item and footer in table?
Hello All,
my smartform has FIRST and NEXT pages. I would like to avoid a page break between last item line of a table in MAIN window and the footer of the same table.
Here is how it looks currently.
Output of FIRST page, MAIN window, table ITEMS:

2.line item
3.line item
4.line item

output of NEXT page, MAIN window, table ITEMS:
1.footer line
2.footer line
I would like that if a footer does not fit on FIRST page, it would be displayed on NEXT page with last item line.
It should be like this:

If your trying yo display some footer text, then you either place a footer window or you can create a table inside your main window and place text under the footer of the table, then it will display the text without any page break.
If it is item tem.
Then you need to build additional logic. As we cannot guess, the total number of item text upfront.
Example: if page1 can hold 15 line items, check whether your header and item can fit in page one else call a new page by placing a condition FLAG = "X".
I hope it will help you to solve your problem.

I have similar issue with the white pages on the SQL Server 2012 Report Builder
3.0. I created a multiple pages invoice report based on
XML data file, which contains about 80 pages per report. The report runs good. But when try the Print Layout ,(PDF file too) some white space happened on the top of report bodies among or after page 70th of the report combines with the First letter
"R" of Invoiced Company Name. Such as: "R Delivery Inc." or "Rock ..." , " Rose ..." " ,,," means names continues. (The report is sorted with Company name, and company ID). After "R".
(The page # changes based on the "R" name s position in the report), and the white space happens before "R" and jump up and down after. When the Other Letter shows up such like "S", the report text position goes normal until the
end of report, the white space will be gone after "R". I tried all methods those I could find online to reset the page margins, page breaks, LTrim, RTirm Company names, setting of page breaks. So far all the method meet "R"
will be no cure. (Even I set page break between each instance of a group, company names as “Rock...” and “Rose...“ are still set on same page. I am wondering, does the SQL Server 2012 Report Builder has pages limitation? Or The Letter "R"

As per my understanding, I think this issue is caused by width size is not appropriate in the report. To narrow down this issue, please make sure that Body Width + Left margin + Right margin <= (Page width).
If the tablix is a matrix, because of the column group can expand to multiple columns, we should according to the following rule:
Body Width + Extra expanded column width + Left margin + Right margin <= (Page width).
Besides, please make sure there are no extra page breaks before each “R”. To check whether the issue is caused by the letter “R”, we can try to use another field to replace the Company Name field.

i have header part which has to be constant through out the portal but below that i have 3 links

Try these approaches and see if that works.
1. In the Header Section, you header footer shell and add a Header Portlet. This Header Portlet associated JSP file will have all static content in the top section. In the bottom section, add these 3 links say to right hand corner. Show these links only based on some request property like isHome. Now for the main book having Home and other page associate a BackingFile. Within this backing file in the lifecycle methods like preRender or handlePostBack, get instance of BookManager and all the pages and see which page is Active. For that active page check its page definition label which will be always unique. IF the page def label is like home_page_def (this is page def label you give for home page), then set the key value in the request property like isHome=true. By only doubt is after Book backingfile is triggered, the header has to be reloaded, because only then it can pick up the request attributes.
2. Create a brand new portlet like HomePageLinks portlet. Make its Title Property Not Visible, and other user interface properties like NoBorder, NoTheme etc. The associated JSP will have the 3 links you mentioned right aligned. You can use css styles to make it right etc. Now drop this portlet in the Header Shell area. You already have HeaderPortlet in the top, below that you will have this HomePageLinks portlet. Now associate a backing file for this Portlet to show, only if the Books current active page is Home page by comparing the def label etc as mentioned above.
In both scenarios, only concern is when we click on different Pages, the entire portal has to be rendered right from the Top Header. Only then the backing file will set the key, and the HomePageLinks portlet can show or hide accordingly.
Try firing an Event when the Home page is clicked. This listener for this Event can be the HomePageLinks Portlet. I guess Event mechanism should work irrespective of where the portlet is placed. In the event listner, see if you can show/hide this portlet.
The only challenge is Header section needs to reloaded everytime you click on a Tab.
Start putting some backing files and System.out.printlns to see if the Header section gets reloaded on click on any Tabs.
These are just my thoughts over the top of my head. Other forum users can have better alternatives or a different version of above approaches.

Keeping heading and detail on the same page
Hi, I have a report with a group header section and a detail section. How can I keep the heading section and all the detail section on the same page without starting each group on a new page?
The detail section will have either 2 or 3 records with some of the objects set to grow if the data doesn't fit on one line. This results in several changes of group appearing on the same page which is what I want. However, what I don't want is the header section on one page with the detail section on the next, or the header and some of the detail records on one page with the rest of the detail records on the next. What I would like is the report to start a new page if the header and all the detail records don't fit on the same page but without starting a new page for every group change. How can I achieve this?you can put the group header and details into a sub report on the old group header section.

I need help syncing my contacts between Outlook and iPhone using iTunes. I used the knowldge document and set it up to transfer my Outlook contacts to the iphone using itunes.
In contacts on the iphone I only see the email addresses.
Yet in Outlook I have email, snail mail and phone numbers.

I did it once, didn't work so deleted all the contacts from the phone and tried again. Same result. I have a PC using Windows 7 64 bit.You can't access an Exchange account via ActiveSync with the Address Book and iCal on your Mac.
You can access a MM account with Outlook on your PC at work and keep your MM email account server stored mailboxes synced between your PC at work, your iPhone, and the MM "cloud". Not sure about syncing MM contact info and calendar events with Outlook at the same time with an Exchange account.
This will not provide for syncing your Exchange account contact info and calendar events with the Addresss Book and iCal on your Mac because the accounts are separate.
You can access an Exchange account and a MM account at the same time with the iPhone's mail client, and sync contact info and calendar events over the air with both accounts at the same time. You can view combined contact info or separately for each account, and the same for calendar events. -

RTF template design issue for header and body section
Hi All,
I have a RTF template having header and body sections.
in header section i have order number, customer number etc.
in body part i am displaying details for the respective order.
But the problem is in header part my query is returning multiple row , so my requirement is for each row i.e order, i need to display the details accordingly.
Ex: Header query returns order number : 1,2,3
in my page i need below way:
Order number :1
a,b,c
order number :2
c,d,e
order number :3
g,h,g
I tried to use loop in header section , but it is repeating only for header part not body part please help me on this.

Actually in my requirement the header level and line level invoice numbers are different, in header level i have different invoices and for each invoice i need to display some other invoices along with some data.
I have sent you the respective RTF file and Sample XML file to your mail, could you please help me on this, i am struggling whole day on this.

When there is a change of customer, i need to copy 123 to header and 2 records of material (abc & xed), sales (100 & 200) and qty (10 & 12) to detail internal table.
for customer 567, i need to copy to header and material aqs, sales 150 and qty 5 to detail internal table.
May I know how can I achieve this?

As per my understanding, your requirement is that you have an internal table which has a combined data and you want to split it into headr and detail internal tables, based on the change of the customer number which is the first field in the combined internal table. If so then assume that it_com is the combined internal table and it_head and it_det as the header and detail interbnal tables respectively.
First sor the combined internal table on customer number
sort it_com by kunnr.
Now loop across this table and on the event at new customer populate the header table and in the remaining loop populate the detail table.
loop at it_com into wa_com.
at new kunnr.
wa_head-kunnr = wa_com-kunnr.
append wa_head-kunnr to it_head-kunnr.
clear wa_head-kunnr.
endat.
append the records from the combined table into the item table, whatever fields required
endloop.
