Need to transfer moviefrom iPod to iTunes

Some how a movie I had disappeared from iTunes but I still have it on my 5th Gen iPod. How can I transfer it to iTunes? It was Family Guy's Blue Harvest Free download from iTunes that came with the DVD.

Hello,
Question: How do I safely transfer the library from the iPod tp iTunes?
Background: I tried to move my iTunes to a LaCie external hard drive and now my music library is not showing up on iTunes. The complete music library is on my iPod and I would like to know how to copy it back to iTunes.
Currently when I attach the iPod to the computer it gives me an error message that the iPod is connected to a different library.
Some more details:
- When I opened iTunes again after attempting to transfer it to the external hard drive there was a brief set up and then the purchased songs were transfered and those songs are the only ones showing up now on the computer's iTunes.
- I did change the settings under preferences to move iTunes to the D drive (the external hard drive).
- I also tried consolidating the library. It only showed the purchased songs.
How do I safely transfer the library from the iPod tp iTunes?

I recently got iPod Touch (latest model with latest iOS) - just to use it in my car. I simply wanted to add and remove few songs. In a normal world, there would be just 2 columns (ipod/computer and simple managing both parts within files and folders management - let us be sincere, can anything be more natural and straightforward ? Sure not). But Apple wants it to make super complicated and highly frustrating. OK, what to do,
Since I already have a different computer (newer version of MBP Retina, with the latest OSX) , I needed to get the iPod content to the iTunes on the new computer somehow. This is impossible as such - since iTunes keep telling that if I want to associate this iPod with this iTunes library , I have to erase the iPod (this is something I really don't want). I try "full backup" - as offered by iTunes ... I do it few times, the process starts, but always lasts quite short (considering 1700 songs with 24 GB on my iPod). The result is - nothing is backuped to this computer ... very nice ...
In further search, I discover some third party apps, that supposedly could help with this terrible process. I bought AnyTrans and started transferring the content to iTunes. in 9 hours, it was just 4 GB transferred ... (overnight) ... obviously not the way ... On another advice , I bought iExplorer, it should be supposedly better. I tried to transfer the iPod content to iTunes ("start automatic transfer). I tried it 5 times. As a result, the app always froze and for quit was the only solution. NIce. Then I got an advice that it is good not to transfer to iTunes but just to some folder on a computer. That finally worked. Then I agreed that this iPod can be associated with this iTunes Library (that already contained those 1700 songs) and let it synced with this iPod. After some time the iPod was indeed erased. Yes, all played in iTunes in the computer, right boxes checked (see the printscreens) ... In the end , I restored to restarting iPod and MBP. After that it started working (synchronisation). But only up to some extent. In iTunes Library I have about 1700 tracks, but only 660 were transferred to iPod. Now I made: "add to library" - adding to library all the song I already have in Library: and the iTunes started working hard to add the rest in the Library (but they were already there ...)
So finally I spend nice whole day to add/remove songs in my iPod ...
Another thing is - when in iTunes Library I want to add/change genre to some songs, the process takes so long, it is like each song is freshly copied just to add the tag "classical" etc to each ... In changing my computer OS to windows 2007 I lost my Itunes library. I reloaded same but have lost the songs that I downloaded from CDs. I have these on my Ipod and want to know whether I can trancsfer ny music from my Ipod to Itunes on the computer.

If you purchased all of the songs through itunes store, please follow these steps:
1. Open up Itunes and Click on Itunes Store
2. Once you're in the Itunes Store look to right side of the screen and you should see the word "purchased". Click purchased and you'll be sent to a purchase screen.
3. Click on "All Songs" and then it will show all the songs you've downloaded. From there you just hit the button that looks like a cloud with an arrow on it, and it will download all the songs all over again.
If you didn't purchase them through Itunes, then you'll have to download software that will strip the songs from your iPod onto your computer. In Disk Mode and songs won't transfer from IPod to ITunes

When I called Apple, the gentleman told me that I first needed to put my IPod into Disk Mode. I got my IPod into disk mode and thought I'd be able to transfer songs very easily, atleast it was last time. No Playlists, or Ratings, Last Played, & Play Count attributes will be transferred from the iPod to iTunes using this method.
If you have problems with seeing the iPod within 'My Computer', try again switching your update method to 'manual', detach the iPod, then reconnect the iPod to the PC.
After recovering your Library, strongly consider developing a thorough backup strategy for just this type of situation (and many other potential disasters).
You need at least two full sets of your music, not including what is on the iPod:
-- One full set on the PC within iTunes (on internal HD or ExHD)
-- One full set on an separate external backup medium (CD/DVD/ExHD/other)
-- One (full or partial) set on the iPod
Music files on just the iPod and only one other medium is not considered having any backup.
If you cannot store your complete music files on the computer’s internal HD, then create and maintain at least two external sets (any multiple combinations of ExHDs, DVDs, CDs).

I need to transfer non-purchased music itunes to iphone

In a nutshell. 2005 I bought a PC and copied my entire CD collection to itunes (1000+ songs). I boughjt an ipod in 2006 and copied all the music to the ipod. I've only ever purchased 1 album from itunes store. The PC died. Dead. Gone forever. I boughjt a macbook and soon realized that only the 1 purchased album could be transfered to the new macbook--odd because the PC was dead--yet the one album showed up on the macbook. Oh well, my ipod was fine to listen my collection via my Dennon receiver which has an ipod connector. Years go by. My brother upgrades to the new iphone4 and gives me his old iphone 3GS with 32G (I think).. While trying to figure out if I can transfer my ipod music to my new/used iphone (my brother went to ATT and they set up the iphone with me as the owner) I purchased the App ipod/iphone to Mac and finnally had all my music coped to the Macbook. Now I want to use my iphone to listen to my collection and it seems I can only transfer the 1 purchased album onto the itunes on the iphone. Please, is there an easy way to get all my non-purchased music onto my iphone? Can I tranfer the music via ipod to iphone without using the Macbook?

YamiPod extracts songs from your iPod to computer. Read the site if it takes all data, but I'm not exactly sure if it does the same to pictures.

Applications won't transfer from ipod to itunes

I recently got a new computer and I'm having trouble with transferring the applications. Whenever I click transfer purchases from ipod to itunes, nothing happens and when I go into the itunes store logged into my account and try to download previously bought applications, it makes me repurchase it. How can I transfer the applications in my ipod touch to itunes?

Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.
