I cannot figure out how to update my email address for icloud

If your phone is signed into an old iCloud ID and you are trying to change it to a newer version of the ID, do the following:
If you are using iMessage and FaceTime, make sure you are signed into these services with your current ID. If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.) Now go to Settings>iCloud, turn off Find My iPhone and enter your current password when prompted (even though it prompts you for the password for your old ID). Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out (or Delete Account if you are not running iOS 8) and choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign back in with your current iCloud ID and password (your data will download back to your device).

I'm afraid you can't do this. Once you've chosen the main @icloud.com address when you set up the account you can't change it (other than by creating a completely new account); and you can't make an alias the main address in the account it's in or any other account.

My email addresses for iCloud have vanished but I have not changed any settings. The only address option is my Apple ID one and it defaults to a none iCloud smtp address and the iCloud smtp is shown as offline?

Did you ever go through the migration process to switch your old MobileMe account to an iCloud account? If not, then I'm afraid it's too late to do that.

To change the iCloud ID ("email address") you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. Change email address for icloud

I have 2 iphones, that for some reason are both linking up to the same account. I want to delete an icloud account, i cant remember the password and it says my other information is wrong (ie dob etc) i don't know which email address its linked to (its not the icloud username email address for some reason) I tried going into icloud on my phone and it just keeps saying verifying and asks me to input password.

If it says verifying in Settings > iCloud, try to keep hitting cancel over and over until it eventually stops, then hit delete account at the bottom.
If that doesn't work, you will need to contact Apple to figure out where that Apple ID is linking to so you can get it reset and removed.

I changed my email address for the iMac cos of security issues with hotmail and now cannot log in to iCloud so I created another iCloud address and now I appear to have 2 and I cannot get rid of the original one with hotmail

Each iCloud account only has a single iCloud email account. You can create up to 3 alias addresses within the account, but they will all receive email in the same inbox.
If you want each person to have their own email account (inbox), and still be able to access the other iCloud data in your main account, you would need to create "secondary" iCloud accounts on each person's device. You can do this by going to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Add Account>iCloud and signing in with a different Apple ID. Secondary accounts can be used for Mail, Notes, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders. If you only want to add a new mail account, you can just turn Mail to On in the secondary account. The only drawback to this approach is that secondary iCloud email accounts only support fetch email, not push. Push mail is only supported in the primary account.

HT5621 My ipad recognizes and old email address for icloud. When I go to change the address it sends me an email verification email that says click the link THAT DOES NOT EXIST IN THE EMAIL!! How do I get this changed?

I cannot get my icloud email address changed, but I no longer have that email address. So it is sending an email to an address that no longer exists, yet I cannot get it to change to my current email address. WHen I walk through the process, it sends me an "verificaiton email" that DOES NOT have the link in it to verify. UGH

If you are unable to remember your password, security questions, don’t have access to your rescue address or are unable to reset your password for whatever reason, your only option is to contact AppleCare(or Apple ID Support), upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan.
The operator will take you through some steps you may have already tried, however they need to be sure they have exhausted all usual approaches before trying to reset your account, so you should try to be helpful and show patience with the procedure.
The operator will need to verify they are speaking to the account holder and may ask you some questions that only the account holder could know, and you will need to answer them if the process is to proceed.
Once the operator has verified your identity they will send a message through to your device which contains an alpha numeric code, which you will need to read back to them.
Once this has been completed they will send an email to your iCloud email address after a period of 24 hours, so you should check that mail is enabled in your devices iCloud settings.
Upon receipt of the email, use the reset link provided to reset your password, after which you should be able to make the adjustments to iCloud that you wish to do.

For iCloud you go to Settings>iCloud and sign out and sign in with your iCloud account.
There are also many other setting that can be associated with here Apple ID like the following:
- Settings>iTunes & App Stores (sign out and sign in)
- Setting Mail
- Setting Messages and Settings>Facetime Add your own ID/email address and delete hers

Our organisation is going through some infrastructure changes and all employees email addresses will be changing throughout the department in the next few weeks.
Is there a supported method to update the FND_USER.email_address, PER_ALL_PEOPLE_F.email_address and Employee Supplier email address within our Oracle system to the employees new email address
Would you be able to provide a solution or recommend a datafix (SQL Update script)?
