Need Webserver Configuration

Question

Hi,
I joined in a new company called Cheelagap, They are using weblogic 5.1.0 in
the UNIX environment. It now working fast and getting hang,crshing server. so
they are planning to go for new HP UNIX server, they want to put one server weblogic
(webserver) , For database oracle in another server, in between two servers firewall
is there...how can i connect to database using JDBC and nearly 700 users are going
to use this application, may be at a time 500 users may use..so can you give me
the system configuration to work optimum...only servlets and jsps are running
in webogic server..please give your suggessition as soon as possible.

You can configure by creating a connection pool in the weblogic.properties
file. Check the weblogic.properties file
in that you can find the following set of statements u configure according to
ur database. Also check whether ur going to configure for datasources and TXDatasources.

If u r going use oracle see that classes12.zip and nlscharset12.zip files are
there in the weblogic classpath. These two files u can download from the oracle
site.Hope it'll help u out.
