Please don't be mad on me but we cannot discuss on this way. If you want to have precise answer you must post your notebook model. maybe you have some old and not Win7 supported machine and this driver will not be relased at all.
So please post exact info and we can have serius discussion here.
Anyway, if you are missing Win7 touchpad driver try to install Vista driver.
I have done the same on my Satellite A300 and it works perfectly.

before someone should have the same problem, I wanted to share my problem and my solution here:
Information about my system:
I have installed Windows 8.1 Professional and Scientific Linux 6.5 in Dual Boot on my Toshiba Satellite P50-A-M13.
_*Problem:*_
The Touch Pad suddenly doesn't work below Windows 8.1 Professional anymore, the mouse pointer vanishes after a reboot. You can't deactivate/activate the Touch Pad with the F5 key (without pressing the FN-button) anymore. The white LED of the Touch Pad doesn't work anymore. Another operating system (in my case: Scientific Linux) in Dual Boot doesn't recognize the Touch Pad anymore after a reboot, too. So it isn't working below the other operating system anymore, too. It looks like a hardware defect since it affects more than one operating system.
_*Additional information:*_
If you attach an external USB mouse to your Toshiba notebook, the Touch Pad will work again, you can activate/deactivate the Touch Pad via the F5 key (without pressing the FN-button) below Windows 8.1 again, but the white LED of the Touch Pad still doesn't work and doesn't turn off or on. Same below another operating system in Dual Boot. The BIOS doesn't offer a feature that you can activate or deactivate the Touch Pad there.
Reason:
I had the problem that the feature "automatic driver installation" below Windows 8.1 Professional was activated. The driver for the Synaptic Touch Pad got replaced by a Microsoft driver in the background automatically.
_*Solution:*_
_Keep the external USB mouse attached and start Windows 8.1 if it isn't started already. Then deactivate feature "automatic driver installation" below Windows 8.1. Then reinstall the Synaptic Touch Pad driver from the download page of Toshiba website again. Then reboot Windows. The Touch Pad should work then again. And never, never activate the feature "automatic driver installation" below Windows 8.1 again!_

I believe touch support is still very much under development for Firefox, so the current implementation may not be as good as other applications. I never used Firefox in a touch screen device (except for Firefox Mobile), but I do know full touch screen support (including multi touch) is one of the targets for Firefox 4.0.

So very strange...Window 8.1 Satellite C855-S5107... user #1(administrator), boots Ok then mouse either disappears or just stops working. Open Control panel(gotta rush before mouse stops), mouse indicates Synaptic driver not available (not exact words but close) and asks if I want to remove the driver. However, when I reboot and select User #2 mouse has no problems....driving me nuts. Most of the time I need to use the data on the primary user.

So there is probably some minor corruption in that first account. The fix is to create a new one and move your stuff to it.

Don't delete the bad profile until you're certain you have everything.

I just bought a Toshiba Satellite A 300 D-17M. I forgot to create the recovery DVD before I changed with Paragon Partition Manager the 2 Partitions. My Problem is that the tracks of the files on the hard disk change swap and now the explorer does not start on his own and I can not open anything.
How can I recovery my system now? Need help please!

If the partitions are changed you have big problem.
When notebook has factory settings you can install OS from HDD using F8 at start up and Repair my computer > Toshiba recovery option but I am afraid this will not work properly now.
Maybe you should order Toshiba recovery media for your notebook model.

But the drivers for Win 7 32bit could be also downloaded from the Toshiba European driver page.
The Satellite L300 PSLB8E is an European series and the same like the Canadian model PSLB8C.

Help Needed To Replace Hard Drive Satellite M45 S351

My hard drive died and can not be reformated. I just ordered a new one that should be arriving in a day or two. All I have is the Recovery DVD that came with the laptop. Can I insert it when I boot up with the new HD and reformat the computer? I do have a full version of windows98 and an upgrade version of XP. Any help for a novice would be apreciated.

After you replace the hard drive, you should be able to boot from the recovery disk and follow the prompts. It will install a binary image of the original drive with all of the correct drivers, utilities, etc. The system will look just as it did when you bought it.

Satellite A300D-126 PSAK4E display is distorted at start up

i have a harman/kardon and the problem is that the display is distorted at start u most times,
sometimes after some time using utp, flikkering screen horizontal lines appear everywhere but when i logged in windows vista the display is working fine most times.
i even run some tests to test the graphic card and it works fine.
Sometimes when i move the screen a bit back or forth it gets tiny distorted for a second then when i continue moving it it doewsn't do much, i am guessing there are three reasons,a wire is loose, the ribbon cable is loose or dying or 3 the inverter is dying, i would like to hear some other opinions.

I think you should connect the external monitor.
This would help you to localize the reason or faulty part.
In case the same flickering and the same likes would be visible on the 2nd external screen, the problem could be related to faulty graphic card or faulty motherboard.
If 2nd display would be OK, the notebooks GPU and motherboard should not be affected but the internal display could be the troublemaker.
The solution in such case is easy: the faulty part has to be replaced. The question is: is it worth or maybe its too expensive to replace such parts.

Need correct Win 7 driver installation order for Satellite P500/01G

I have a Toshiba Satellite P500 and had to replace HDD after it was dropped by son.
I dont have the recovery disc so i loaded Win 7 from image on USB.
I down loaded all the drivers but have been frustrated by a few things.
The webcam seems to be impossible to get working despite trying every fix i could find online and some devices unkown in device manager.
The Toshiba site lists multiple audio,display and wireless cards wgich makes it hard to know the correct driver to install.
I needd a correct driver list and the order they should installed in

Satellite A300 - touch pad dead after BIOS 2.20 update

Hi,
exact model is Satellite A300 PSAGCA-06M01N running Win XP.
i had a problem with the webcam, and i read in the forum that it may be solved by a BIOS update. so i went ahead and downloaded the latest BIOS from the toshiba website specifically for my laptop model. it went completely well with no errors.
however when the computer restarted after the BIOS update my touchpad doesn't work anymore.
i went to the Device Manager and could still see the Synaptics touchpad device and it says "This device is working properly". but its totally dead and will not respond including the 2 buttons. before i updated the BIOS i had never had any problems with it.
Tried FN+F9 to no avail. plugged in a USB mouse and it works with no problems. In fact, when i plugged in the mouse the synaptics software said " Disabling the touch pad due to external pointing device" so the device driver for the touchpad is working.
if i remove the mouse it will say the touch pad is restored but it is still not working. rebooted many times and still the same problem. went into the BIOS and selected "Default" still a no go.
Can someone offer any advice or ideas please?
I really need the touch pad for the way i use the laptop...

thank you for your reply. i already checked the BIOS setting for "Pointing Devices" and made sure its enabled. its the only setting in there that relates to the touch pad. just to make sure though i disabled it and then rebooted, after which i rebooted again and enabled it to no effect. i know this is not an isolated instance, as my search has turned up some with exactly the same problem. I'm really disappointed with Toshiba.

I dont know if you have installed the OS manually from the Microsoft CD or if you used the Toshiba recovery CD. Using the Toshiba recovery CD you can set the notebook back to the factory settings.
If you have installed a clean OS then you have to install the Toshiba drivers in the right order. Check the installation instruction txt file on the driver page!
Note: There are two different touchpad drivers and both are needful!
Alps Electric Touch Pad Driver - This driver allows you to set the properties and functions for mouse control.
Synaptics Touch Pad Driver - This driver allows you to set the properties and functions for Touch Pad control.
Check and install both!!!
Then you should be able to configure the scrolling again.

Satellite Click 2 L30W-B - Touch Pad Stops Working

Hi,
When I log into my computer after few minutes y touch pad stops working, the icon I the system tray has a red cross through it and if I go to properties it is not my touch pad but it says other device. i have updated the touch pad driver to no avail

but once I did the windows update it stopped working again.
I assume your notebook was equipped with ELAN touchpad.
The reason why the touchpad stopped working was an updated distributed by Microsoft.

Solution:
• Shut off the notebook
• Connect external USB mouse
• Boot up the notebook
• Set the OS back to early time point (last Windows restore point)
After that you could try to install the Windows updates but uncheck (don't install) the ELAN driver update.
