NetBeans acting weird; A list with different components

Hi,
I'm writing an application that is using swing components and have some questions (my IDE is NetBeans 6.1):
1. I have some forms with JTextFields, JButtons and JLabels. I have a very annoying problem in the NetBeans, that sometimes if I change the location of one of the components in the form (in the design view), for example a JTextField, the entire form changes its look - buttons are moving, labels are dissappearing etc.
Why is that? Is it a bug in the IDE?
2. I have written kind of a IM application and I have a list of users, some are online and some are offline.
I want the list to show me the online users in a different way that the offline users (for example - online users are colored in green and offline users are in red, or maybe a small icon next to the user's name).
How can I do it? At the moment I'm using a JList (and don't distinguish visually between offline and online users).

You may get a decent answer here, but odds are that you will have better luck if you post this in some netbeans forum or mail list.
Oh, and I doubt that you've run into a NetBeans bug. The relative probability of you finding something that the creators have not vs you simply not using it correctly are orders of magnitude apart. This is not to insult you, as if I were in a similar situation, the odds would be the same for me. I know that I'm not anywhere near as smart as the creators of this complex app.

Creating a list with different row sizes...

I'm new to AS 3.0 and CS4 and I've been getting up to speed
on all of it. I've used the List component before with my own
CellRenderer. I now need to create a list with different row
heights. The List component is great and does everything that I
want but it requires all rows to be the same height.
I'm unsure of where to go. Creating my own class seems like a
lot of work. The TileList and Grid components don't allow different
sized (and dynamically changing) row heights either. Is there some
base class (SelectableList? BaseScrollPane?) that I should extend
or do I need to just bite the bullet and write it all from scratch?
I need each row to have it's own height and interaction with
a row could change the height of the row. The main use is a list of
data. If the user clicks in an item, it turns the display into
something they can edit (which will need more height).
Thanks for any thoughts on a direction I should think about.
By the way, I really like that AS 3.0 is much more consistent of a
programming language than previous MX versions that I've used.
We're doing a lot of AS/Flash/AIR work with it and it's turning
into a wonderful environment...

How to show the contents of a dropdown list with different colors

Hi,
I have a drop downlist on my dialog. I want to show each of its text attribute and its back ground with different color.
Suppose I am showing 4 strings in the dropdown like Name1, Name2, Name3 and Name4, then how to change the color of each name and its background.
Please let me know if it is possible.

If the above asked is not possibe can we have an alternative as mentioned below :-
A dropdown similar to the one shown in "Edit->Preferences->Grids->Colors" having our own text names instead of the default color names.
So that I can show some color symbol and a text name along with it in my dropdown.
One more query, is it possible to show the images/giff/png files in dropdown ?

Wlc ha 7.4 with different components hardware

Hi my name is Ivan I have a question
Is possible configure a WLC HA ver 7.4 with two WLC's with differents hardware components?
I have a wlc with one power supply and the second wlc have two power supply (its part number say air-ct5508-HA...)
Is possible to do it?

Power supplies don't matter per say... if you have one WLC 5508 and you get another but the HA sku, that is fine. you can't mix a 2504 and a 5508 in HA AP SSO.
I'm ggoin to assume your going to do AP SSO, so stick with v7.4.110.0 of v7.4 121.0 and foolow this guide:

Double account listing with differing authentication

Greetings!
For a few weeks I have been having problems sending my mail. Finally had the time sit sit down and check out what was going on. I had an old account for mobile me which could (obviously) not connect and deleted it. But that was not the problem.
My mail connection doctor lists 2 account with the name iCloud...
Double clicking on the first gives me the account tab of the preference of mail. Authentication is set to "password"
Double clicking on the second gives me the account tab of the preference of mail with a dropdown menu showing "description" "Server Name" "in use by account" and under that, Account Information / Advanced.
AND authentication. If I set authentication to password (with the proper entries), I get no connection. If I set this second listing to authentication = none, I can send mail...
Why is this so?
1) is it ok to leave authentication = none?
2) do I have to remove one of the account listings?
3) Am I worrying about nothing important...?

Try this...
Mail Preferences>Accounts>Account Information>Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP):click on that & choose Edit Server List, highlight the old one & click Remove Server.
Did you setup the new iCloud account like this?
Do not delete the old account yet. sign up for an iCloud account if you haven't.
I understand .mac mail will still come through. Do not delete the old account yet.
You cannot use .mac or MobileMe as type of Account, you have to choose IMAP when setting up, otherwise Mail is hard coded to change imap.mail.me.com to mail.me.com & smtp.mail.me.com to smtp.me.com, no matter what you try to enter.
iCloud Mail setup, do not choose .mac or MobileMe as type, but choose IMAP...
On second step where it asks "Description", it has to be a unique name, but you can still use your email address.
IMAP (Incoming Mail Server) information:
• Server name: imap.mail.me.com
• SSL Required: Yes
• Port: 993
• Username: [email protected] (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
• Password: Your iCloud password
SMTP (outgoing mail server) information:
• Server name: smtp.mail.me.com
• SSL Required: Yes
• Port: 587
• SMTP Authentication Required: Yes
• Username: [email protected] (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
• Password: Your iCloud password
Also, you must upgrade your password to meet the new criteria: 8 characters, including upper and lower case and numbers. If you have an older password that does not meet these criteria, when you try to setup mail on your mac, using all of the IMAP criteria listed above, it will still give a server error message. Go to http://appleid.apple.com then follow directions to change your password, then go back to setting up your mail using the IMAP instructions above.

2 Agents Registered with different components registered...

I have a server with 2 agents. Apparently an additional agent was deployed by mistake.
There are several databases, listener and host.
The listener and host are registered to agent 1 and the databases are registered to agent 2.
What is the easiest way to move the databases to the other agent without redoing them all?
Do we just remove the agent and rediscover?
I'd like to keep the targets in EM as they are named now. I dont want to name them manually.

lets say you want to keep agent 1
1. Remove Database form agent2 home page
2. wait for sometime
3. Re-discover your database by selecting agent1
4. Now if you have to remove agent2, stop agent2 and from host home page/targets remove this agent
you might consider un-installing agent 2 binaries as well.

How to get Network logins shown as a list with photos!

A long time ago, some one posted a tip here on how to set this up for Panther Server (that is to be able to view the list of network login accounts as a scrolling list with different pictures [photos] for each user).
I myself was able to follow the instructions and get it working in Panther.
Later someone else said it no longer worked using Tiger Server.
A while I go I did set this up (again) using Tiger Server and therefore I can confirm it does still work. (Although I am only now getting round to letting anyone else know.)
If anyone is interested I can help you through the process.
In theory the same pictures can be used in other places as well, for example in Apple AddressBook (works for me as well). Its a shame Apple broke MailPictures in Tiger though. See http://www.nikwest.de/Software/
Despite what the above website implies, it DOES NOT work properly in Mail in Tiger (although the Panther version does work in Panther Client).
PS. I did get an equivalent to work in Mozilla Thunderbird 1.5 in Tiger.

Unfortunately it doesn't work. @List requires members names so I can't provide a member set as an argument :(^^^Are you sure? Take a look at the below example from the Tech Ref. That sure looks like @LANCESTORS and @LIST is accepting more than just member names.

If the @LANCESTORS function is used alone (not within a FIX statement), you must use the @LIST function and specify member names. So you DO have to use @LIST if @LANCESTORS is to be used to do an aggregation. Or so it appears.

I need a report for invoices. I want to choose currency from selection screen. And report will calculate invoice amount with this currency. Does SAP have a standard report for this?

Help with Spry, acting weird in Mac Os 10.5 10.6, 10.7 and Ios Devices

I use Dreamweaver CS4 for designing our school website. The url is http://www.stpiusxschool.org
The menu bar on the left is built with a Spry Asset, it is to expand to different choices on some of the lines. The issue started about a month ago, if I click on the first item that should expand out (Parent Resources) it will not expand out, then I choose the second one (Student Resources) it expands out, I go back to Parent Resources and it will expand....this happen on Mac 10.5 and Ios Devices (Ipad, and Iphone)
On Mac 10.6 menu bars will never expand out.
I have tried many things, I have ran the Spry Updater and uploaded those files. I have built a page outside of my site, it appears to work ok, then copied that Spry Asset folder into the site, no luck.
I have built a second spry on a test page within the site, and tried it out, it doesn't seem to work correct either. It can be accessed off the main page mentioned above, scroll to the bottom and click on test, that is just what it is a test page.
School is starting soon and this site is used a lot for resources during the day.
I have called Adobe and got no where with them but that even took hours.
If someone could help me out that would be awesome.
By the way, I know nothing about coding itself.

You have got two problems

Two adf components sharing same VO with different params on same screen

Hello everybody,
My current problem is that I need to create a screen with multiple graphs sharing the same VO but with different parameters for each one.
Lets suppose that I want to use EmployeesVO to show 2 graphs on the same jspx page.
One graph will show all employee salaries for department "Marketing" and another will show all employee salaries for department "IT".
Remember that I want both on the same screen.
The read-only VO will look like this:
SELECT First_Name
, Salary
FROM employees
WHERE department_id = :p_dept
To do this I did the following:
For each graph I created one Iterator.
For each Iterator I created one ExecuteWithParams. (one receiving "Marketing Depto" and anther receiving "IT Depto")
For each ExecuteWithParams I created one InvokeAction .
While running the application all graphs show the same information. All of them show only one department (the last InvokeAction in the Executables List).
The question is: How to keep each graph with their own parameter on the same screen?
I'm using JDeveloper 11.1.2.1 on Windows 7 x64 SP1.

Content of search help list is different with different login

I have a problem that ..i've created search help and view and applied it in the selection screen in the report
e.g. search help : zz01
       view: z_brand
      then it makes the list of brand name (4 brands)
      ABC
      DEF
      GHI
      JKL
but the problem is ..when i login in different user, and run the report, and click this selection option
some brand is missing in the list...maybe only show ABC and DEF ...
Why and how to set ? is it the authorisation problem which will affect the search help with different login user?

First of all forgive me for the topic title, i couldnt find any better...
My problem is :
Id like to create something like a clickable list with graphics to keep trace of actives file transfers.
In my program i used a JList with a string for each transfer but i would like to improve it, maybe adding a progress bar and some buttons to each list row.
Is this possible?

In my program i used a JList So continue using a JList (well I believe it will work). Have you read up on ListCellRenderers? Here is one that allows you to have a checkbox in the JList, which can be checked and unchecked: http://www.geocities.com/icewalker2g/downloads/IconedCellRenderer.java
i would like to improve it, maybe adding a progress bar and some buttons to each list rowUsing a JList in this case might be too much work. Instead, you could use JPanels (probably a custom class which has all the components, ie buttons, progressbars, icons, and then use some kind of model architecture to manage them ie, retrieve, remove, add, etc. This should allow you to easily interact with the components.

Help has arrived to assist you with getting those contacts on both your devices. The Verizon cloud service is definitely a great tool to use and you can also use Apple iCloud as well. When you sign into the Verizon cloud on your iPad does it give an option or message to restore?
