Question

Any body please resolve these doubts..Thank you so much in advance
a)A configuration like below is possible
a host with only message server configured.(no instance..(dispatcher etc))?Does it work?Can it(this particular server) be called an application server then?
a)logon load balancing is optional?users can login in directly to dispatcher bypassing messg.server?When does such a scenario arises?Is it still possible when we have multiple instances?
c)In JAVA runtime,is there this logon load balancing.If so how does it happen?JAVA Message service performs the same?
d)Do spool and  enqueue process  too connected to abap DB schema ?If yes,why?They never communicate with db rite.?

Ans : I think it is not possible
a)logon load balancing is optional?users can login in directly to dispatcher bypassing messg.server?When does such a scenario arises?Is it still possible when we have multiple instances?
Ans : Yes, Users can directly logon to a specific dispatcher, they need to give the IP address & Instance number in SAPGUI of that instance...there can be many scenarios..for instance..say ..a set of users need to run heavy reports, we can give a single application to those users & change the parameter rdisp/max_wprun_time to 0 of that instance. This is possible even if you have multiple instances.
c)In JAVA runtime,is there this logon load balancing.If so how does it happen?JAVA Message service performs the same?
Ans : Yes , it happens the same way...you can either use sapwebdispacher (Server based Load balancing) or use the standard message server (Client Based load balancing) to distribute the load.
d)Do spool and enqueue process too connected to abap DB schema ?If yes,why?They never communicate with db rite.?
Ans : In ABAP all the info is only in the database so spool wp needs to connect to the database in order to print the requested data
