Network pc and mac to see all available drives

Hi, I can connect to my husband's pc running Windows 7 and see his "C" drive but I also want to access his GoFlex mobile storage drive "H" where he saves pictures. How can I do that? Thanks so much for your help!

If I help out a friend & download a free app (through my iTunes account) on their new iPod Touch, will their device automatically be added to my itunes device list (and they can see all my contacts, pix, music etc)?

Just wondering, what context is this in?
First up, is your iTunes account part of an iCloud account?
Secondly, if it's a free app, why don't they just download it? If they are having trouble finding it on the App Store, but you can find it easily, you can share the link for it via email with them, and if they view that email on their iPod they can just tap the link and it will open the App Store to that App for them, so they can download it themselves.
If you were to go to the Store settings pane and sign in with your iTunes account, that should only provide the possibility for download items from your iTunes account, such as purchased apps, music and movies. However, if you signed in, downloaded the app, and then went back and signed out of the account again, there shouldn't be any access apart from the app you downloaded. This is provided you sign in using the Store section of the Settings app, not the iCloud section.
One problem they will have if you download this in your account instead of theirs, in order to download updates for that app, they will need you to enter your iTunes password to download the updates. Doing that doesn't give them access to anythign to do with your account other than that update, but they will be unable to receive updates for it without your password. They would also likely be unable to sync the app onto their computer, as their computer would not be Authorised with your iTunes account.
If you can answer some of the questions I've asked, I may be able to suggest alternate ways for you get them the app on their device.

Can see all available wireless networks

When I used tiger, if I went to work, there were usually around half a dozen free wireless access points nearby by to use, and they were all visable when I selected the wireless icon near the time at the top right corner of my screen, and if one got weaker, then I'd jump on another. Since I upgraded to leopard, my leopard settings only recognise one of the places while the other places are not visable under the wireless icon thing (at the top right of my screen), not even the numerous locked ones. If I grab my bosses macbook and put it next to my macbook, (she has tiger still), and we each grab the default wireless, we can both surf, yet she has all the other free wireless places visable while I don't. I want my mac to show all of them all of the time. How can I do this. Sorry if this is such an easy question but I've been fiddling for ages and still, my mac only remembers one of them. Please help.

prompt users to authenticate to AD and use that authentication to map the next 2 available drive letter to two network shares.
I have adopted using the HAT format as this provides me with the ability to prompt for a username and password and authenitcate to AD.

using the above I can succefully authenticate users but I cant work out how to then use that authenticattion to map the next to available drive letters to a network source.

Now the above script will find the next availabe letter and map one location to it...I still havent worked out to create another loop for it to do it again. It obviously also requires that you already be authenticated to map to that location.
I looking for some help on how to marry these to scripts together.

Hi Ali
Here is some code that will enumerate two free adjacent drive letters. It starts searching from "C" all the way to "Z" for two drives letters that are adjacent and returns the results in an array then echos the results. You can easily adapt this code to
map your network drives to each drive letter. Hope that helps

Microsoft Remote Desktop and small network, pc and macs

I have a machine running 8.1 pro with a connected printer, networked via an unmanaged switch to two macs in the network. One mac is a headless mac mini, the other is a mac pro i am using to access the pc via MRD. This network is not connected to the internet.
I can ping the pc from the macpro, and can see files shared on the pc, but cannot get MRD to connect.
One network cable from the macpro is connected to the isp's router, the other to the switch connecting the three machines. That second connection has a self-assigned ip, and the internet connection on the macpro is not shared.
On the pc in ipv4 properties, the ip address is set manually. Ip address and subnet mask are there (169.254.94.25 and 255.255.0.0) and default gateway is blank. Workgroup is set up as private. Remote Desktop is enabled. Firewall seems to be right. Windows
Network Diagnostic says no issues detected.
I've tried MDR settings with the ip address of the pc in gateway and also without, leaving gateway blank and just using the name of the pc with the same result: "Unable to connect to remote PC. Please verify Remote Desktop is enabled,..."
The switch and cables are good. If I connect the switch to the router and change the ipv4 address to automatic, I can connect to the PC with MRD.
Any suggestions? Is there a setting I'm missing? I've searched the Microsoft site for help but find only the most general instructions, which I think I've followed.

If my understanding is right, one network cable from MAC pro is connect to the switch and the Windows 8.1 PC is connect to the switch too, and the IP setting in the Windows 8.1 is ‘(169.254.94.25 and 255.255.0.0) and default gateway is blank’.
If a DHCP server cannot be found or does not respond after one minute, the DHCP client checks the settings on the Alternate Configuration tab of the properties of the TCP/IP protocol.
If Automatic private IP address is selected, the DHCP client auto-configures its IP address and subnet mask by using a selected address from the Microsoft-reserved Class B network, 169.254.0.0, with the subnet mask 255.255.0.0.
Does the switch have the dhcp function?
What is the network setting in the MAC pro？ We could manually configure the IP settings of Windows 8.1 network connection and the connection in the MAC to the switch in the same subnet, and then check if the issue still exists.

Is there any way to see all available taskflows to use in jdev.

Hi,
I am developing a ADF application, i want to know if my UI project has consumed a number of other UI (ADF Lib) jars. Is there a way to see all the available taskflows to use in my application which is there due to the imported jars.
To Iterate my question, I have a Ui project say AUI and it has imported BUI and CUI but using only one taskflow from BUI.jar, while BUI and CUI has some more taskflows which I have not used but is there any way to see all of them.

Hi there,
One thing is to have access to a repository of libraries containing taskflows that you may use within an specific project. Once you import this library into the project usually depending on how you did it, it means that you are using it at some level. In my opinion the best way it to create a connection to your repository and see all the libraries and choose the available taskflows that you might want to include. Instead of searching from the inside out (where is a library used at?) You could always find usages and validate where things are coming from.
Also in future releases we are working on visually displaying those mapping between elements.
Another option for validating what's inside and what's being used could be to use Maven in order to keep all dependencies from your project in order: http://donatas.nicequestion.com/2012/06/using-jdeveloper-maven-integration-to.html

How do I network windows and mac?

I've an older windows xp laptop that can access internet via my home wifi and of course, my mac family of iMac, macbook pro, iPad, and iPhone can access internet by wifi. The macbook pro and iMac can see each other in Finder.
Problem is, I can't get the iMac nor the win xp laptop to see each other.
How do I setup each to play nicely on the home network?

Doubt in Benefits enrollment..unable to see all available plans

To enroll my employee in Benefits program , At first i select the employee and an appropriate plan offer.But i could nt able to see all the available plans for which the employee is eligible.The system is not displaying automatically the eligible plans for the employee.

I think you would not maintained some of the eligibility criteira.
Kindly recheck the same.
Also, if you still have a problem, and you know debugging knowledge(or can get it from someone), just do a debug on the tcode, and do a breakpoint on 'statement' "message" . This shall bring you the the place where the error is being created, and then you can find exact reason / table for the cause of error.

Help! On my new iPhone 4S, I can see all of my music and vidoes that I downloaded from itunes that I had previously purchased on my iPhone 4, BUT I can not play any of the songs! When I hit "play" from my 'albums' and 'playlist' or 'songs' it looks like it is going to play the song when the song screen comes up showing the album but then the screen starts flipping from album to album or song to song randomly. Then after flipping thru anywhere from 10-15 songs, it stops and goes back the previous page showing my list of music.... I have synched my phone, restored it and downloaded all of my music and videos. The only things I can get to play from my iPod on my iPhone 4S is my videos, no music. Can anyone help me? Is it possible to increase the size of text windows in 4.0.1 (if, for instance, I am typing a long email and want to see all of it at once).

I visit forums that use vBulletin, and when I post or private message within, I like to be able to see all of what I write. In some other browsers, and Firefox too I thought, you could resize those windows (has that little triangle shape with dots at the bottom right). In fact, I just noticed that little triangle is here in this particular text box, but does not ever show when I am using a vBulletin text box. Is there an add-on I could get to allow me to resize text boxes when using vBulletin sites?

On the vBulletin 4 sites I use, I have my preference set to the "Standard" editor (the one where you insert BBCode markup to make text bold or italic) instead of the "Enhanced" (WYSIWYG or "rich text") editor. The Standard editor does have a little resizer in Firefox 4 (see attached), but the Enhanced editor does not.
Often rich text editors are not actually normal form controls but complicated editing systems that simulate a form. That could explain why there isn't a resizer already. But one probably could be built. Could be a good application for a Greasemonkey userscript.
