New Client

I am trying to create new Clients in PI on the 000 client but I can t login with the user DDIC or SAP* and I am using passwords 19920607 and 06071992 respectively.
So my question is there another default password for these users with PI..
AND
Can I simply create theclients using scc4 in client 001 with PISUPER?

recently i installed sap 4.7 in my system .
to create new client i copy the standard one and i assigned password .
While i am trying to login in to new client i am getting error "password is not right even though it is passsword given while creating new one.

Why would you need to ADD a new Client. Unless the APE sytem is completely different then any other Wireless router the printer should get an IP address from the router. That is IF the printer is setup to get an IP from the LAN DHCP server.
Now you may want to make that IP it does get a Staticly assign IP address so it never changes, which will screw up printing if it does change. But i don't know if you can do that with APE routers.

SAP* and DDIC passwords for new clients in Sol Man 4.0

Hello all,
I just recently finished a Solution Manager 4.0 on Windows 2003 server box. Then, I performed some of the post installation steps until I had to create a new client. So, I went to scc4 and created a new client. When trying to get access to this new client through SAP*, the default password did not work and the entries were not created in the table usr02. Also, I tried to insert the missing entries into the usr02 table, but had no success after all.
I hope some of you can help on this, because I am stucked on it.

If you install a new ABAP or ABAP+Java system, in most cases you do not need to perform the client copy for
the ABAP stack. SAPinst creates three ABAP clients during the installation, client 000, client 001, and client 066.
You can use client 001 for production.
The following procedure describes how to perform a client copy manually. We recommend that you
use client 001 as source client.
Caution
If you want to use a client other than the default of 001 as your production client, you have to reconnect
the Java part to the production client as described in SAP Note 937323.
Procedure
1. Maintain the new client with transaction SCC4.
2. Activate kernel user SAP*:
 a) Set the profile parameter
 Login/no_automatic_user_sapstar to 0.
 b) Restart the application server.
3. Log on to the new client with kernel user SAP* and password PASS.
4. Copy the client with transaction SCCL and profile SAP_CUST.
5. Check the log files with transaction SCC3.
6. Deactivate kernel user SAP*:
 a) Reset login/no_automatic_user_sapstar to 1.
Caution
 You create SAP system user SAP* on the new client
 before resetting
login/no_automatic_user_sapstar.
 b) Restart the application server.

Logical system for new client

Hello experts,
I want to copy all users and assigned roles from Quality to the production system.
But as a safety measure I want to copy the existing users and role assignment from production system too one of the test system.
For this I created a new client in test system. My question is:
1) Do I've to create a logical system for this new client?
2) Is there any other step that I need to take beside creating RFC connection?

Ho to change the old Logical System in the new Client?

after a Client copy, I've to change the old Logical System in all the relevant SAP tables in the new client.
In the Co tables too, such as CSKS.

So the only solution would be to rename the SID of one portal.-> Yes,Rename the SID of on portal
Can this be done ? -> Yes,It can be done
How is it done ? -> Use Export/Import method.Export the database of one SID. Import the same with different SID.

Tools->Administration ->Administration -> Client administration -> Client maintenance
or can also use TCODE scc4
2)Login into the client with
User: DDIC or SAP*
Password

OC4J does not allow new client connections

I have a java application which connects to OC4J which manages Session Beans. We have recently upgraded to OC4J 10g (9.0.4.0.0) and the following error occurs while stress testing the system:
1)After 5 users have logged on, any new client application which tries to get a server connection hangs and no more users can connect until one of the client applications that is running is closed down. Is there a configuration setting we are missing to be able to up this number? I have 80 users.
2)Then the application server throws the following exception. Does anyone have any insights, suggestions, recommendations?

ABAP proxy client call PI with new client 120 in old business system

Hi all
We have a requirement to call PI from ABAP client proxy in synchronous mode via a CRM client 120.
CRM client 100 is already configured in the Business system talked above but now we need the same business system to be configured for client 120 as well.
My question is If we go to the SLD and
|-> Click on Business System
|-> Add new client 120
Will it work or we need to do some extra configuration for communication channel.
Also please let me know how to configure Integration Directory for sender agreement, Receiver Agreement and the communication channel.

> hope the technical entry of CRM is already in SLD . So you just need to make a business system entry . point the business sytem to the technical system entry with the right client here 120 .

for proxy based communication your application system(other than PI/XI) should be able to make a proxy call to XI or receive a call from XI .for this purpose you need to make some settings at R/3( or CRM level)

Creating new client (via SCC4) doesn't create defualt users (SAP*,DDIC,...)

I've created a new client (100) via SCC4. After this, I've tried to login at this client with SAP* user and password PASS (i've also tested with the password that i've changed at installation). The message that the system displays is "Name or password is incorrect". I've been querying the SAP table USR01 and the user is not created for this client (only for clients 000, 001 and 066). What can I do to login at the system with client 100?

Yes, when you perform a test run before starting client copy it'll show the estimated space needed ?

SAP* user not working in new client

Hi,
I created a new client from SCC4. And now I am trying to login with SAP* user and pass password but it is not allowing. Note provided in SAP Config Guide is not working.
I installed SAP Solution Manager 7.0 SP12 and then created a client.

I agree that the issue is probably due to the parameters for the automatic user SAP* - not sure about the Masterpassword though - the newly created client is only an entry in a table at this stage, so I don't think the system will know any password but the hardcoded one...
Something you should be very careful about is the Java-Stack, which is part of SolMan7 and which runs SMD. The Java stack can only interface with one client properly, so I am not sure what's the idea behind the newly created client.

2.Create a new client(900) through transaction SCC4 and assign the logical system created in STEP-1
3.Login into the newly created client using UID: sap* and PWD: pass
4.Create a client copy through SCCL transaction selecting the source client as 800 and selecting the desired profile for customization.

all info you see in ME1P is coming from purchasing documents, not just from info records.
if you want the history in a new client, then you would need to migrate the old POs.
for migration you can use LSMW

You Need to do something like this .
Logon to the system
start Transaction SM31
Enter 'T000' as the table name
create a new entry with your preferred client number
logg off the system
Start a new gui logging on to the new client with user
'SAP*' and password 'pass'
Start transaction 'SCCL'
Use client 000 as source and your new client as target
give it the 'go'
wait some time
You can also do all these steps through the menu:
Tools
Administration
Administration
Client Administration
Client Copy
Local Copy
