Hi ,
Navigate to UCM UI - Administration - Admin Applets - Configuration Manager - File - Publish Schema (and also Publish Schema Base) .
Then test and update the results.

  • Workflow Status column for new content type

    Hi,
    Initially I had a document library and several workflows associated with it. After that I created a new content type inheriting Folder content type. My existing workflows could be started and work fine with any item of this new content type except anything
    related to the workflow status column, such as "Automatically update workflow status to the current stage name", or workflow action "Set workflow status". If I use the OOTB Folder content type, everything's fine. But I need custom fields
    for folder as well.
    The workflows can be started then it seems unreasonable that they are not associated with the items of the new content type, considering I set my new content type to be the child of the existing Folder content type. So why any item under this new content
    type does not have the workflow status column? I've tried removing the workflow from the list and publishing back using SPD without success.
    I also notice that when you associate a new content type to a document library/list which has some custom columns, you cannot edit those columns to be used in the new content type. You need to delete those columns and recreate them, then the option "Add
    to all content types" is there. Is this expected design?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    According to your post, an error occurred when you created a custom Edit form for new content type.
    We can do as follows:
    1.Add the MyNameSpace.MyNewEditPage dll file into GAC(C:\Windows\assembly).
    2. Execute the iisreset command.
    We can create a new content type using visual studio 2012/2013.

  • New Content Type with RDL template

    I'm building a new Project Server 2010 site template and one of the libraries that I want to provide will store the Status Reports for each Project.
    I'm struggling with what seems like a simple concept.
    Create a new Content Type that uses the status_report.RDL as it's template so that users can click on the 'New Document' button drop down in the ribbon and select 'Status Report' from a list of possible document templates and then the status report opens, they
    add the required parameters, run the report and then 'Export' it as an Excel Sheet which they can store in the library as a point in time report of the projects status.
    Am I asking too much or do I just need to decypher the way that SharePoint builds the URL for the report from the actual .RDL file that's stored in a library in order to enter it as the location of the content type template?
    Thanks in advance.
    N03L.

    I should add that I'm planning on having this content type stored in a Content Type Hub and published for use in another Site Collection.

  • Create new content type...

    Greetings all,
    I am trying to include the Word, PowerPoint and Excel content types in my document libraries so that when a user clicks the "New" drop down they can select which document they want to create.  However I seem to be running into some problems
    getting this done.  I have created the Site Content Type and have also uploaded a template to be used for the document.  I have also gone into the library settings and have added the content types to the document library and set it to open the documents
    in the browser rather than in the client application.  Using Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox when creating the new document I am prompted if I want to open the corresponding application, it does not open the new document in the browser.
     Using Google Chrome I am prompted for a name for the new file and when I click OK I receive this error message:
    "Invalid template URLhttp://sharepoint-dev/Documents/Forms/New Word Document/WDTMPL.DOTXThe template must exist in the Forms directory of this document library. Create the
    template in the Forms directory, and then re-type the Web address. Note that you cannot move or copy a template into the Forms directory."
    Any thoughts or ideas?
    Thanks
    Ryan

  • Issue with New Document in a document library with multiple content types

    Hi,
    I have a created a custom list definition based on a document library. I added 3 content types in this list, one is a document set (lets call it DOCSET), the two others are content types inheriting from Document (DOCA and DOCB).
    I deployed the list definition with a site scoped feature and the list instance with a web scoped feature. After activating the two features, the list is created and the content types are present in the list.
    When I click in the New Document button and choose either the DOCA or DOCB content type, a Word document opens and the DOCA content type is always associated to this Word document.
    With SharePoint Manager 2013 I saw that the template.dotx document was not in the Forms/DOCA or Forms/DOCB folder.
    So I decided to remove all the content types from the list definition and add them by code with the ListAdded event receiver. I used list.ContentTypes.Add to add the content types to the list.
    With this method the templates are correctly copied from the template.dotx in the RootFolder/Forms folder of my list. These templates have the rights content type id, but the New Document button still does not work properly.
    So I looked at the Content Types inside my library and saw that the DocumentTemplateUrl linked to the RootFolder/Forms/template.dotx and not the RootFolder/Forms/DOCA/template.dotx or RootFolder/Forms/DOCB/template.dotx.
    I debugged my code to look closer and see that right after the list.ContentTypes.Add, the DocumentTemplateUrl is correclty set but when my EventReceiver finishes, the DocumentTemplateUrl get back to the RootFolder/Forms/template.dotx.
    Have you any idea why this is not working ?
    Regards

    Hi,
    Per my understanding, there is an issue about the DOCA and DOCB content types which inherits from Document Content Type in your custom list definition.
    By default, if there is a custom content type inherits the OOTB Document Content Type, it will also inherits the template.dotx file from the OOTB Document Content Type.
    The template URL of a custom content type which inherits the OOTB Document Content Type:
    If you want to specify different templates for different content types, the code demo below would be helpful:

  • Choose a content type when creating a new list item

    Hi,
    I would like to know if there is a way how to change the "New" link in a SharePoint list.
    Problem:
    I have a list with free content types. If I click an existing item a form appears where I can change the content type. But if I create a new item by click the "New" link (directly to the link, not to the little arrow), I am automaticly creating the default content type (the first one).
    This is confusing for users. Can I change it so a user can choose a content type after he or she clicks the "New" link?
    Thanks for any advice.

    Hiya,
    I have a solution!
    If you have three set content types for a list, rather than encouraging people to click the arrow by the new button put three links on a new page that link to the new form for each content type.
    <a href="http://site/Lists/test/NewForm.aspx?ContentTypeId=CONTENTTYPEID1">Create a new item with content type 1</a>
    <a href="http://site/Lists/test/NewForm.aspx?ContentTypeId=CONTENTTYPEID2">Create a new item with content type 2</a>
    <a href="http://site/Lists/test/NewForm.aspx?ContentTypeId=CONTENTTYPEID3">Create a new item with content type 3</a>
    The main problem with this is that if you add new content types to the list, you have to add new links to the page.
    Mike
    The only thing I would add is that, the content type ID is a number (1, 2, 3.....) based on the order that the content types were added to the SP list.

  • SharePoint 2007 - Content Type Usage

    My question relates to Content Type Usage.  I am helping to develop a customer facing SharePoint site template for my company.  The main purpose of the site is to track the ERP Software Implementation process from start to finish.
    I created a new task list which includes all the stages and activities within the project schedule of the implementation.  I then created a calendar View of this task list so that customers can view it in calendar form.
    The issue that I am running into is that the Task List Item Content Type doesn't include the All Day Event column and so the items on the calendar view of the task list are not displaying properly (they end the day before vs the day of).  I found that
    I need to add the Event Content Type in order to utilize the All Day Event column.  I added the Event Content Type and now have found that's it's an either/or situation.  I can either create a New Event or a New Task.
    Long question short, is there a way that I can "merge" content types so that the Task content type includes the All Day Event column?

    Columns form part of content types, which you know.  What isn't clear is that there is a _hidden group of columns that don't appear in the SharePoint GUI.  The All Day Event is one of them.  If you were to download
    SharePoint Manager 2007 you could find the property and change it's group.  Here's a screenshot of what you'd need to change
    You'd navigate something like Farm --> Services --> Web Applications --> <Your Web App> --> <Site Collection> --> Fields.
    I normally move items from the _Hidden group to the Custom Columns grouping. This will then make it available for addition within the Content Type that you've made.
    Hope that helps.

  • Transfer reusable workflow and maintain content type

    I need to transfer a 2010 reusable Workflow from the test to the production environment. I create the workflow with SharePoint Designer 2013, and I select a specific content type. After having imported it in the new environment, I can't set a specific Content
    Type (the only option for Content Type is "ALL").
    Thanks in advance for the help!

    Hi,
    As I understand, you would like to migrate a reusable workflow to another farm, please try the methods below:
    1.Copy and Modify the reusable workflow in production envrionment, try if you could associate a new content type to it.
    2.If it doesn't work, save the original workflow in test environment as a template, then move to production envrionment:

  • Apply workflow to approval task content type

    Here's the backstory. I created an OOB Approval Workflow which created a content type called "Approval Workflow Task (en-US)". I created a new site column called Contract. I applied this site column to the Approval Workflow Task (en-US) content
    type. Now I want to setup a workflow which will automatically populate this Contract field.
    The problem is that in SharePoint designer I setup a list workflow to work across all items in the Task list, but it won't apply to this new content type for some reason. If I got to this content type in designer, there is not an option to apply a workflow
    to it. It looks like this content type is in a group called _hidden, but when I change this, it doesn't look like anything happens.
    Am I missing something?

    Hi Mike,
    When we create a List Workflow in SharePoint Designer, then the workflow will be associated with the list and it will not be associated with the content types.
    Per my test, we cannot start the workflow manually on the Tasks items which have been created based on the Approval workflow content type.
    However, we can set the workflow to start automatically when an new item is created.
    To start the workflow automatically when an item is created, please open the workflow in SharePoint Designer > go to the workflow settings page > select Start workflow automatically when an item is created.
    Best regards.

  • Error while adding content type fields in the EditForm.aspx for an customlist item.

    This is office 365. I have content type which is attached to custom list.
    Added new site column "CustomerAction" which was added to Content type, now when I added this field in the EDITForm.aspx using the SharePoint designer, this form is called when the custom list item is being edited.
    But when I added this extra field to EDITFORM.aspx it is giving error,. the standard correlationid error.
    Can anyone suggest, what could be problem !
    Thanks
    Labhesh
    Labhesh Shrimali

    Hi Labhesh,
    When we add the site column to the content type, there is an option to update the all
    content types which inheriting from this type.
    If we set this to Yes, then the site column will be added to the list where the content type or its child content type has been used and this column will be added to the EDITFORM.aspx too.
    So we don’t need to re-add this site column to EDITFORM.aspx.

  • Condition Type Doesn't Appear in COMMPR01

    Hello CRM Pricing Experts,
    I have created a custom pricing procedure called Z00001.  This pricing procedure has a custom condition type called ZPR0.  This in turn is based on a custom access type ZPR0 (Access=5, Table=SAP00080,E=checked, requirement=0.......based on the product).
    I have also maintained the pricing procedure with Distr Channel 10 (no division, no customer proc etc.) "Determination of Pricing Procedure".
    The problem is that when I create a material using COMMPR01, the new condition type doesn't appear as a valid condition type on the Conditions tab's Item Area.
    What could I be missing?
    I'd appreciate your help.

    Thanks for your reply.
    I followed the instructions you mentioned.  It dawned on me that I can only have 1 entry for application CRM.  This seemed like a big change so I decided not to change this and leave the CRM-> Condition Maintenance group setting as CRM->PRODUCTPRICES.
    I do have one follow-up question:
    Within the same screen (condition maintenance), what is the purpose of Product Category folder on the left pane.  I see an entry there for CRM ->PRCAT_CRM.  What does this mean? Do I have to add my item category here? Or is this something different?
    Thanks

  • [CSOM] How to use CSOM to add a Enterprise Keywords column to a content type

    Based on information given in following blogs,
    http://sadomovalex.blogspot.com/2011/05/add-enterprise-keywords-field-into.html
    I wrote this code to Add an Enterprise Keywords column to a SharePoint content type. the  code runs fine... but when I go to the content type definition in the UI I don't see any column other than title.
    ContentTypeCreationInformation contentType = new ContentTypeCreationInformation();
    contentType.Name = "MyCT";
    contentType.Group = "MyGroup";
    contentType.ParentContentType = itemCt;
    ct = web.ContentTypes.Add(contentType);
    web.Update();
    c.ExecuteQuery();
    Field f1;
    Field f2;
    FieldCollection collFields = web.Fields;
    var siteColumns = c.LoadQuery(collFields);
    c.ExecuteQuery();
    foreach (var col in siteColumns) {
    if (col != null) {
    if (col.Title.Equals("TaxKeywordTaxHTField")) {
    f1 = col;
    if (col.Title.Equals("Tax Catch All Column")) {
    f2 = col;
    FieldLinkCreationInformation fieldLink = new FieldLinkCreationInformation();
    fieldLink.Field = f1;
    myContentType.FieldLinks.Add(fieldLink);
    f1.Update();
    FieldLinkCreationInformation fieldLink2 = new FieldLinkCreationInformation();
    fieldLink2.Field = f2;
    myContentType.FieldLinks.Add(fieldLink2);
    f2.Update();
    web.Update();
    c.ExecuteQuery();
    But when I go into SharePoint UI and try to see the content of my new content type. it only has a title column. there is no Enterprise Keyword column.
    How can I add a enterprise keyword column?
    val it: unit=()

  • External Content Typ: "Connection manager did not return valid connection."

    Hi,
    I created an external content typ in the sharepoint designer which takes my custom WCF Service as a data source. I sucessfully added all my required operations and created a new list based on the new content typ. At first I had a security issue which I got
    resolved by editing my BDC configuration in the Central Administration. Now I face a new issue. When I open my external list the BDC Service gives me the following error message:
    "Connection manager did not return valid connection."
    Has someone a solution for this kind of message?
    Thanks,
    Eric

  • Hide a field inherited by the content type in a custom list definition

    The requirement is to create new content type that inherits from a Parent content type. I also created custom document library definition that uses the newly created content type.
    There are some fields that are inherited from the parent type that I would like "NOT TO" show in the edit/display form in the libraries created based on the new list definition.
    How can I achieve this? In the list definition, I added ShowInEditForm="FALSE" and ShowInDisplayForm="FALSE" ShowInViewForm="FALSE".
    But these fields won't hide and it still shows up when a new document is uploaded. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks!
