New feature that need to be considered sisde by side migration

Hya,
We are going to migrate from sccm 2007 to 2012.
we have one primary site in our 2007 environment and no others. one site server and sql backend
we have approx 1000 user so no need to create additional primary sites in 2012.
but we do have 20-30 remote sites using a 1mb dsl line to the main office. only 2-3 pcs at these sites.
I was thinking of building the new environment single server also and backend sql server. then migrating the clients by doing side by side migration.
one thing that im not sure about is the "USER-CENTRIC" functionality of sccm 2012-->if I do a side by side migration then the new system 2012 will not be setup for this feature and will be targetting collections of devices.
Can someone give me some pointers in the best way to migrate?

You don't need to worry about this to carry out the migration. You are migrating devices so continue what you are doing.
When you start using ConfigMgr 2012 configure Active Directory User Discovery. Then you can create user collections and configure deployments to target users.

To be completely honest, FCPX is a RAM hog. It just is. But, RAM is relatively cheap, and the pay-off is good.
4GB is right on the edge, IMHO. 16G is ideal.

How do I disable the new feature that disables outdated plugins unless they are clicked?

I'm running Adobe Acrobat 8. I'm happy with it. Firefox has a new feature that automatically disables the PDF plugin unless it's clicked. It's called the "Click to Play" feature. Even when disabled, it's not really disabled: it activates itself for "vulnerable plugins." Though there is an option to make a website trusted for plugins, there is seemingly no way to make the PLUGIN ITSELF trusted. As a result, every time I get a PDF, I have to Click to Play.
Question: How do I truly disable this stupid new feature?
There is the following support article that explains this new system, and that the only solution is trust a website, but apparently can't disable the feature or trust the plugin:

New feature that would be handy

I do a lot of live recording, In one night the maybe 30 - 40 tracks played, Most of the time i treat them all with the same settings but not always, what i think would be a great idea is to turn material between markers into new arrangements, so for example i could get the 30 tracks marker them all up push a button and vola logic has made 30 different arrangements for me to work on each track individually, even better would be a checker box to choose which would and wouldn't auto arrange.
I have found in quite annoying today, i have tracked whole album (13 tracks) from reel to reel. To save time i set up the arrangement, pressed record in logic and ran both reels through as one arrangement. I now have to cut paste, consolidate, optimize and clan up each individual track. This takes ages. The idea above would have cured this.

I am in situations at times (Most times) when it is not possible to stop record and create a new arrangement, arm all tracks for record, making sure all inputs are correct and press record, such as a live night.
One thing i have noticed which i would say is a bug, is that when i edit my tracks down to 1 track then save as new project, and select leave unused audio it still brings all the audio that is part of that file rather than optimizing it first, at least they could get this right.
As for logic going corrupt, I have never had a file gone corrupt on me in all my years of using it (Since about 95 - 96 on a pc) even when an arrangement does go corrupt or bad the audio files will still stay in tact. I tend to make a copy (Using finder) before working on any long audio recordings. Just means that i tend to be working in Gb rather than Mb.
i agree it would make much more sense to record in a track by track situation but it is not always possible. i do find audiotrack (Came with my 896HD) a bit more reliable for recording long sessions and tend to use that and save as omf which i can import into logic at a later date.

Over The Air updating came with iOS 5 so you do have to update using iTunes.
I would recommend always updating using iTunes, my personal and very unscientific resrearch into the problems that many people have with updates and then having poor battery life and wifi issues indicates that the common thread among them and not being able to resolve the problems seems to be updating OTA. I would always update using iTunes.

5 New Features that Edge Animate should support

I have 5 requests for a future release of Edge Animate:
01. Allow us to import entire Photoshop files with the individual layers intact and "stacked" correctly in Edge to speed up production
02. Support Z depth layer transform for 3D projection and 2.5D animation purposes
03. Include dynamic filters such as lens blur, glow, and other After Effects type filters that the user can apply to any given layer in Edge...also make the filter properties animatable
04. Be able to directly import .MOV, H.264, .FLV, and .WMV video files instead of writing code that references a video from a different location
05. Support dynamic masking in Edge for any given layer and make the masking properties animatable

For 3 and 5 the limitation isn't really the cpu. The limitation is the spec. Edge Animate is attempting to work within the HTML5, CSS3 and javascript specifications. That way when you create an edge animation it should play nicely across all modern browsers. One of the great things about using a plug-in like Flash is that any of that missing code sould be provided by the plug-in and we weren't limited by waiting for the browser to support it.
That said, I keep seeing more and more amaziing things done with javascipt. And there is already some limited filter support svg images (on some browsers) So maybe soft, feathered masks, blurs, glows, and ink effects (add, lighten, multiply) will arrive sooner rather than later.

HT4085 can't ghet sound on i pad. when pushing side button icon appears showing sound is on. Must be something else that needs to be set differently. Side switch is set to mute. Any one experience this and have a solution

There are two different sound levels, one is the normal sound level and the other one is sound affects, turn the volume up on buttens and view the multitakting bar and then swipe to the left the show the sound volume, in settings you can change which one is set to buttens also.

Adding new Feature in already deployed package

Hi!
Please consider the following scenario:
I have a SP Project that contains a Package and a Feature. This package has been deployed and the feature has been activated already in a farm. Now I want to add a new Feature in the existing package and redeploy it in order to activate the new feature
without affecting the old one.
I'm using Update-SPSolution to update the package in the farm but it seems that the new feature does not appear in the list of features of the sites. I read this

means that data will be lost!
Isn't there any other way?

Try running
Install-SPFeature manually and check. The feature folder would be available on all servers since it was part of the solution.

I would request you to explain the concept of a couple of new features that am listing below, in the simplest possible way. I can answer to one part
iPPE and PS can be integrated so that there will be logical link between objects in PVS (Product Varient Strucutre) and Project in PS.
there n:n relationship between WBS element and iPPE node , also betn Network and iPPE nodes/varients.
Use can use data from iPPE for project procurements.
Using reference points you can tranfer material from iPPE structure to PS Network.

Recommendation for a new feature - alert when an important email arrives

Why can't I set my iPhone to give me an alert when an important email arrives? This new feature would alert me when I get an email from a predetermined sender or subject line. AOL offers this feature. Why can't my iPhone do it too? The phone would need to read the sender address and subject line of each email, and then bounce it against a list of pre-configured alerts that the user programs.
This would also cut down on data consumption, since users would not have to check and recheck their mail when waiting for somethign important. With an alert, you just set it and forget it.

iOS 6, coming this fall, will include a new feature that allows you to designate a VIP list for just this purpose. This feature will be supported on the iPhone 4. See "Mail" here: http://www.apple.com/ios/ios6/.

Send an attachment with office 365 new feature

I'm building an app with the new features that project siena and office 365 are offering and I want to send an email with an attachment from with in the app. The attachment will be the image generated from the PEN function. I also want it to get pictures
taken from with in the app to become attachments for the email.
I appreciate any help!

I understand that it is just future planning, but please consider integrating the export feature with the email attachment feature. we're using export for user feedback on several apps, at remote locations. currently, we have to display text
telling the iser to attach the exported file. it would be great to have this as one action.
