New features on ver. 5.5 with update or ver. 6

Sorry to ask (maybe someone just did it). But I would like to see all features on Audition 6 before to buy the update. I mean just to see all voices on menu. In particular I need the mastering tool, the scientific filter and the possibility to group files into multitrack. Thanks for answering.

Audition CS6 will give you everything you specifically asked for, except for the scientific filters.

New features are missing in Photoshop cc update

My software says Photoshop CC is up to date, However, I don't see the new features:
No smart guides
No Font view in document when I hover over a font in the selection list.

Use menu help>About Photoshop see if you using Photoshop CC 14.2.1 or Photoshop CC 2014. They are separate both on you system you may well be in CC 14.2.1 and not CC 2014..

The last two times I have updated my iphone 4 it has stopped during the process and has to be completely restored. This wipes out the memory that was used previously and it doesn't come back. Now with update to ver 6 it did the same thing. Why?

No files or apps are deleted when updating your phone. In any case, all your content should be safely backed up on your computer.
There are no new features, just bug-fixes and security updates.

Maxdb new features - Page Clustering and Prefetch

I activated this parameter in November. The system now starts more quickly and some expensive sql-statements may be faster. But the average db-time didn't change.
Page Clustering can be activated with parameter: DATA_IO_BLOCK_COUNT
Then tables can be migrated with SQL-Statement: ALTER TABLE <table name> CLUSTER
I activated this only for one table. This table now is read much faster.
My questions.
Is there a documentation available for this features?
How can I "uncluster" clustered tables?
When this features are activated, expensive sql-statements are processed much faster. Because of the high workload on storagesystem, all other transaction may get slower?

First of all: both features, although technically available, are not yet generally released for OLTP usage.
The current implementation of page prefetching is explicitely a proof-of-concept implementation which should be used by recommendation from MaxDB support only.
There are several limitations to the functionality at the moment, e.g. it does only work for table scans.
It does not work for joins, for index builds neither does it work on clustered tables.
Prefetching is available to 7.6 release only at the moment, so after an upgrade to 7.7 this feature would be gone...

Well, nothing surprising here.
On SAP start there happen a lot of tablescans, mostly attributable to the fully buffered tables for the ABAP internals (security, ddic, etc.)
These statements will of course benefit if the pages are now read into the buffer in parallel.
For the avg. db-time: be happy!
This basically means, that most of the statements running in your system aren't processed by table scans, which is for MaxDB nearly always a very good thing.

Ok, page clustering is not documented yet (just as prefetching is not officially documented) and not released for OLTP.

Hmm.. you're using undocumented features - what do you expect?`
No, currently there is no official documentation.
There is work going on to provide official documentation but none of it is released yet (and it will take some more time!)

It's not that simple.
Both features address specific issues and are used only in very specific circumstances.
The clustering feature will not improve performance if the table is not accessed via the cluster key.
In fact, it may even decrease performance if this is done.
Also, at the moment clustered tables don't stay clustered on updates/inserts/deletes.
Therefore it is not necessarily a good idea to cluster tables like REPOLOAD pr REPOSRC on a development system.

"Define New" feature for the UDF

I have created UDFs in Item master data.
I want to load each of my UDFs with the data from a Database field from an UDT.
For e.g, my UDF's name is U_Size.
My UDT has the following structure:
Code - Name -U_Size.
I want to display the values of U_Size (of user defined table) in my UDF combobox, which also should have Define New feature.
Please help me with this!

Following gives the detailed explanation of the problem:
For implementing the Define New feature, I did the following:
1) Created a user defined table : (TableX)
Code - Name - FieldX
2) Created UDF(FieldX) in OITM, and set the Linked Table to be my user defined table(TableX.)
Now, I can get the Define New added in the UDF (combobox).
But, the Combobox has only Code-Name values loaded into it.
for example, if the user defined table(tableX) has the following values:
Code - Name - FieldX
1-1-USA
2-2-Canada
The UDF combo shows
1-1
2-2
Is there any way to show like the following?
USA
Canada
(or)
1 - USA
2 - Canada

Popup for new features of an own developed ABAP

Hi,
from time to time new features are integrated into existing ABAPs and I want to inform the users of these ABAPs about the new features.
I would like to have a general mechanism where a screen with some documentation pops up when the user runs the ABAP for the first time after the new features have been implemented (perhaps with a check box to indicate that he has read the message).
I do not want to implement everything from scratch but my investigations in 4.6C have not revealed anything useful. I know there were some applications which brought up a popup screen when used for the first time.

Are you talking about including this functionality into your custom programs?
Are you going to maintain the documentation for the new ABAP code yourself in some table/standard text and pop up it up for the users when they execute the code? What you can do is -
1. Create a table with the key as User and Program Name and Sequence Number
2. The non key field would be a checkbox field.
3. Whenever a new functionality is added, you would create a standard text with the name as a concatenation of the Program Name and Sequence Number
4. When a user executes the program, the AT SELECTION SCREEN event would first check for all Standard text(s) which contain the program name and then check the above table with combination of the user id and program name
5. If no entry exists, then all the standard text - texts are read and displayed, as the user clicks the enter button to proceed on any -you would create an entry in the above table with the user name, program name, sequence number (read from standard text name) and mark the checkbox as 'X' indicating the documentation has been read once by the user
6. This way you can track the same and also if you want to have the user re-see the documentation, a system administrator can uncheck the checkbox in the table through a table maintenance.
I dont think this solution is too complicated to implement. You can use the class CL_GUI_TEXTEDIT to show the documentation in the pop up.
Lemme know how it works out if at all you attempt to try this.

Eclipse Mars Install New Features/Update fails with HTTP Code 416

I'm currently trying to update my working Eclipse Luna (for Java and DSL
Developers) to the new Mars version (seperate fresh installation), but I keep getting an error, which I was unable to resolve.
The workstation has to use a corporate proxy and it was always a little bit tricky to get the Eclipse Marketplace and Install New Feature/Update working. My Luna Eclipse is configured (network settings) to use "Manual" as Active Provider, with the correct host + port + user + password combination. I also got the known bugs

So, any suggetions how to find the root cause? It's quite possible the corporate proxy is misconfigured, but I hope you can help me finding the difference between the working Luna and the (for me) broken Mars, so I know what has to be configured differently. Something seems to be changed in the way the packages are downloaded.

Today I tried updating my apps with the Adobe Application Manager, however, I recevied an an message with PhotoShop “Installation complete though some recommended components failed to install correctly. (U44M1P6)” I noticed that not only did PhotoShop not install correctly, but none of the new features with Muse, InDesign, and Illustrator are available either. What could be the problem?
