New field in O7E3

Dear all, this question was already posted but the answer did not solve the issue: i would like
to assign new field other than possible fields in O7E3 (Maintain screen variant) transaction. How can I do it? I need to include new company code (NEWBK field) and it is not available.

Added new field to cube but data not passed from DSO

Hope someone can help.
(BI 7.0) We added new fields into a cube. The fields already existed in the DSO. When we ran the process chain in development for the first time after making this change, we notice that the 'historical' data for these fields is populated in the cube. When we do this in our quality system only new data passed to the cube is updated. In development in the sub-chain DTP request we see all previous requests listed under selections. In quality it is only the latest request. The only difference is that the DeltaInit flag in the DTP request in development is ticked (extraction mode) - but not in quality. Does anyone know whyb this is?

Adding fields to cube doesn't affect delta status...The delta DTP should be able to handle delta requests automatically.
I guess in you quality system, the cube already got all requests updated from ODS before you importing the change request. And in develop system none of the requests in ODS were updated before the change.

Error while adding a new field to the Segment in we31

Hi ,
I am getting error when i am trying to add the new field to the cust. segment.
It is released for the adding the new fields i am cancelling the release , but i got a message like this
Error while resetting release of segment 'segment name'.
it is comming from the message class EA and message number 259.

Hi,
Have you tried Cancelling the release before adding the version?
Select the active version of the IDOC Segment and cancel its release first. Only then you will be able to add a version.

AET error while creating a new field

Hi Experts,
We have a requirement to create a check box/newfield on Account Details screen in Web UI. I am trying to create a new field using AET but am getting the following error message. Please help.
1. Error during generation of object CI_EEW_BUT000
2. Customizable CSOL conflict for objects changed in other TR.
We have a config TR involving the role field on account details component (BP_HEAD/ACCOUNTDETAILS). Do we need to release the transport before creating any new fields.
The generation of the field fails when I select the extension and click on 'SAVE and GENERATE'.

Go to table->Utilities tab->version->Version management->Compare the previous one .

Populating marketing attribute of bp in new field created by eew in crm

Hi all,
    I have created new field in transaction types(lead opp, quotation and order) through eew.
    how do i populate a value of a marketing attribute that i have maintained for a business partner(TABLE for marketing attribute:- AUSP) in the new fields created in all the transaction types.
    Can anyone help me in how to achieve this as it is an high priority issue for me?
    I have tried doing by writing a code in pbo of the screen in which fields are created but it gives me a dump at item level if item is maintained otherwise it works but item is compulsary.

Check the BADI 'CRM_CUSTOMER_H_BADI'
Implement the method 'CRM_CUSTOMER_H_MERGE'
First of all select the data from the table.
Fill in the appropriate corresponding field in the structure 'CS_CUSTOMER_H_BADI',of the method, with the data extacted. Finally(very important), In the table 'IT_INPUT_FIELD_NAMES', of the method, append a line with the field FIELDNAME containing the name of the field in the Customer_h structure and field CHANGEABLE containing space.
I think this should solve your problem.

First you should ask why amount is required in 5 decimal places. Anything is possible to do in ABAP but we need to see if it is worth doing it

i am new in SAP CRM 2007. i wanted to add one field therefore i went to EEWB and try to create one extension. In extension i have enter all fields like Name, Description, EEW Bus. Object and Extension Type when i click on continue system is giving error that is "No request was sent" (No request was sent through the interface).
please tell me how to solve this error???

Check if you have followed the below steps:
-While creating new project in EEWB you Need to enter existing package then you will get transport request Dialog box .
-Click on create on continue which will then create the project.
-Then right click on Project create extesion.You must select EEW Bus Object and Extension Type Header or Item level.
-Then you will get the Wizzard and assign Transaction TYpe while proceeding in Wizzard.
-In define field you must maintain the data type i.e Character or check box
-In assign field must check header or Item and assign the subbobject and continue.
It may take some time but will create a new field.

I have created a new field as value attribute in Relationship block of contact overview page. Since both AET and EEWB did not allow creation of the field as part of BUT051 I had to create value atribute. I have custom logic for the field. Can you please let me know how I can populate the field.

The context node that you are using is a mixed node, so from this node you need to get value node so that you can cast the value into cl_bsp_wd_value_node.
Here's the sample code for getter and setter method of that attribute:

Here, from lr_value_node get the property access method and set the attribute value to VALUE parameter.

How to populate the new field of R/3 in BW

Hi,
There was a requirement to modify the sap screen in the R/3.
For the same a new field is created which populate the data via a table in R/3.
Now I have to populate the same field in BW. I am working on 3.5 Version.
In R/3 I have a data source and I am not able to see the same available in the data source
The field is available in the extract structure but I am unable to populate the same in the data source.

The Data Source is picked from the FM.
Also,my requirement is to display the text values for the new field
I am going to create a Generic Master Data which will fetch the data from the table which has fields (Code, Langu and the text) and replicate the same to BW.
Now to populate the code in BW, I need to have the field in the data source and from there I can add the same code field in the bw comm/tran/etc...
The code is available in the Extraction and not in the data source.
At the reporting level I will extract the report based on key and text.
I tried using ROOSFIELD to populate the field in the datasource, but I am not able to do the same.

BADI /SAPAPO/AM_ALERTLIST - How to fill values in new field catalogue

I need some help for passing values into the field Catalog of an ALERT Monitor.
The requirement is to add new fields in the ALERT Monitor and then populate them with values form the PRODUCT view.
I have implemented method MODIFY_ALERTLIST of BADI /SAPAPO/AM_ALERTLIST. I am able to add the new columns but I am unable to add the values. Actually while debugging i found that even though the NEW values are going into the table T_ALERTS, but the space between the New Added values and the original value is HUGE. Therefore when the Field Catalog is displayed in the Alert Monitor, the NEW Values are not shown.

I have even tried Concatenating Values, with that method even though the NEW Values are available but they do not fall under the correct Column.

Added new fields in vendor master in xk01 but data is not getting saved

Hi experts,
To add new fields in vendor master i have followed the following steps :
1.) Appended a structure ZRTGS in LFA1 table with required fields and activated
2.) Added new button in xk01( vendor master ) using spro -> logistics-general -> business partner -> vendors ->
control ->adoption of customer's owaster data fields -> prepare modification free-enhancement of vendor master record
Created a screen group ZR and defined label tab pages with function code ZRTGS and saved entries
3.) Created a implementation for BADIs VENDOR_ADD_DATA and VENDOR_ADD_DATA_CS.
4.) Created a program with my own subscreen for the required fields
The button is getting displayed in XK01, XK02 and XK03 respectively. Whenever the button is clicked the subscreen with
the fields is also displayed. But whenever i try to save the data in either XK01 or XK02 it is not getting saved in to the
database table LFA1.
Request your help in this regard.

Create New Field - Package is null and non editable

7.0 when choosing the Create New Field in the UI, I get a window where the Package is empty and I can not edit it, the Namespace contains a Z and is not editable.
I select ORDERADM_I but when I select OK I get the message the Package is Required.
I am guessing I need to do something in EEWB? but not quite sure. I did find any other forum questions with this issue.

I assumed you are using Application Enhancement Tool.
The prerequesite to use Application Enhancement Tool is you have to maintain the system settings in transaction AXTSYS.
Here you can define a default value, which will be displayed in WebUI.
