ERP Upgrade: Changes in Reporting in new version ECC6.0

Hi Gurus,
We are just in upgrade process from 4.7c to ECC 6.0. During the test we ascertained that there are certain changes happened in the reporting functions und the reports are not showing some necessary fields in new version. For instance the reports RFDOPO00 and RFKOPO00 are replaced by RFDEPL00 and RFKEPL00 in ECC 6.0, which do not show some important fields of old report. SAP says they are standard reports in ECC 5.0 /6.0.
How can we maintain old reports (in general, not specifically these above mentioned reports) from 4.7c in our new upgraded system ahead instead of new reporting standard of ECC6.0.
Please tell me the steps to solve this problem.

No, there is slightly difference in reporting between both versions ERP 4.7C and ECC 6.0. For instance in old version 4.7c we can produce reports (RFDOPO00 and RFKOPO00) with Subtotal and Total by currency by making check mark on both these items. In new version this items has been removed. There are also some more items which are not offered by SAP in new version.
As we have decided to keep some old reports in new system, Can you therefore please tell me how we can keep the old reports in new version?

SPLITTING MORE THAN ONE LINE ITEM IN ECC6.0

Hi everyone.
I am using New GL functionality in ECC6.0. I have a big question regarding multiple objects splitting. Ej: Purchase of a service.
If I set one cost centre in the expense line item, the profit centre and segment are determined automatically in the vendor line (in the vendor invoice).
Then I post the payment and, without introducing any cost object, the profit centre and segment are determined automatically in both balance line items. Everything is ok.
However if in the original vendor invoice I use 2 cost lines with different cost centres: New GL splits everything alright and I get the vendor lines splitted with the right profit centre. When I post the payment, with new GL I don't get any split or balance line are properly posted with a PC.
Resuming, splitting works properly in both vendor invoice and manual outgoing payment when originally there is only one cost line and one cost centre. However, when using 2 cost line with different cost centres, splitting is only working in the vendor invoice but I can't get it work in the manual outgoing payment.

There is a config setting called classify document type for document splitting, or something like that.
Here you have all of your doc types, and then you assign a business transactions
The point I am making is that you need to check there, and that the config for the business transactions are the same.
Can you confirm if the payment document actually posted. If it did then it passed the config rules you have set for doc splitting. Make sure you are looking at like for like and both documents are the general ledger view and not the entry view.

Can we activate Classic General Ledger in ECC6.0 during upgrade from 4.6C

Dear SAP Gurus,

My Client's technical team had upgraded their system from 4.6C to ECC6.0 and they had activated classic GL instead of New GL. And they had also activated classic withholding tax in place of Extended Withholding tax.
They are facing some error during posting of transactions (like generation of excise invoices, posting of WHT transactions, etc.) I told that it can be a reason of not activating New GL.
Is my understanding correct...?? Can we activate classic GL during upgrade from 4.6C to ECC6.0...??
In case of a new client built (with ECC6.0), can we activate the classic GL instead of the New GL..??
Does the system will work correctly in the long run if they had activated classic GL and classic WHT...??

I think that you should read long text of OSS note 999614 carfully and you are
aware of the fact that you will have additional migration efforts in
case you need to migrate to new G/L later on.
In case you are convinced that this is the best way please feel free
to deactivate new G/L as described in note 999614.
Please make sure that you deactivate new G/L in all clients of your
new system in case there were already client copies done.
Yes this is possible and I would not automatically assume that
error during posting of transactions are due to New GL not being activated.
Note 756146 documents the issue and possible repercussions
of using Classic GL.
In the case of a new installation the new G/L accounting
is active by default in ERP. In principle, the use
of the classic GL is also possible for new customers, however,
SAP does not recommend it since this requires an additional
migration expense in later years.

ECC6.0 t-code COOIS - how to get the "Profile" select-option list

We are implementing ECC6.0
We upgraded one of the systems from 4.7 to ECC6.0 (and also kept data: documents, users profiles, variants,u2026etc).
My question is regarding standard transaction COOIS.
I do comparison in current 4.7 and ECC6.0 systems (I have SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW in both systems).
The thing is that in our ECC6.0 system the transaction COOIS doesnu2019t display Profile on select-options screen.
There are only the following items (select-option screen of COOIS in ECC6.0):
-LIST
-LAYOUT
-Prod.orders checkbox
-Planned orders checkbox
u2026And u2018Selectionu2019 tab with other fields
In the current Enterprise 4.7 system the transaction COOIS displays the following select-option screen:
-LIST
-PROFILE
-LAYOUT

-Planned orders checkbox

Questions:
1.     Is that possible to maintain / see and select a PROFILE in COOIS of ECC6 (or due to new functionality it no more available on that screen ?) How to do that?
2.     Looking at layouts (I ran COOIS in two systems and compared the results) I canu2019s see in ECC6.0 some icons like u2018Refreshu2019, u2018Order logu2019, u2018Display order componentsu2019, u2018Long textu2019 , u2026.) But all of them are in 4.7 layout. How to get them in ECC6.0 ?
What I have already explored:
u2022     ECC6.0 has a new config. t-code COISN (4.7 has only COIS) . I created my new overall profile there, set my own layout, but running COOIS still canu2019t see/use the PROFILE;
u2022     I have compared the standard structure PPIO_ENTRY_SC1100 in 4.7 and ECC6.0 and found the new component COIS_LISTTYP in ECC6.0. In this situation I ran a new t-code u201CDefine New List Typesu201D (it doesnu2019t exist in 4.7) and created my new entry, but still canu2019t see PROFILE on select-option screen of COOIS in ECC6.0;
u2022     I also tried situation when both config. transaction COIS (in 4.7 and ECC6.0) had the SAME overall profiles u2013 still canu2019t see PROFILE on select-option screen of COOIS in ECC6.0;
u2022     I found a new icon u201CNavigation profileu201D in result layout of COOIS ECC6.0 Is that right place where I can maintain the icons I need (see my second question) ?

Hi,
The reports are modified if am right as of ECC 5.0. Refer to note - 747469 which gives a list of all reports modified.
If am right by profile you mean navigation profile, this is now in the display screen. The content remains, only thing is the layout is modified & more structured. So i would suggest you to have a look around in COOIS report & you will find the info.
The navigation profile is adjacent to the icon called Environment (its a drop down list).

New GL: How to create Profit C. Report with account and statistics combined

Dear Experts,
we are in need to build a report in the new Profit Center accounting (ECC6.0), which is combining the data from new GL table (FAGLFLEXT) and from the statistical key figure table FAGLSKF in one report in order to be able to report on sales per squaremetre for example. Preferabbly, we would like to use report painter/report writer for this, but any other solution how to create this without too much custom programming is highly appreciated.

unfortunately, the statistical key figure is in a different table. For this reason it is not enough, to create a new key figure based on the table FAGLFLEXT, because the basic key figure is not there. It is in a different table called FAGLSKF. I tried to merge these two structures by defining new a new evaluation structure based on on flexible analyses in the Logistics-Sales_and_Distribution-Sales_Information_System (transaction mcs7), but the problem is, that I get 16 basic key figures instead of one for the periods. How can this be avoided?

New GL document split-doubt

Dear all,
We are planning to configure New PC functionality on ECC6 system.
Segments are the locations/regions in which we have plants
Profit centers are product groups.
Now all the CC , PC and segments have been derived. Document splitting characteristics are based on Profit center and segment fields which are mandatory field and zero balance check also being activated. All the postings are happening correctly.
I have a doubt now: since bank and cash accounts are defined at Company code level if I have to make a contra posting how does the sytem derives profit center and thus segments?
In such cases where amounts cannot be assigned to any particular profit center or segment how is it possible to get complete balance sheet at segment level?
Please clarify.

Yes the only alternative in such cases is to assign a default PC and then adjust to segments later on.
In that case we will not be able to reconcile the balance sheet values for segments against the company code, since there will always be some amount left unposted on segments.
If you can throw some more light with some real scenarios that would be much more helpful.

Migration of Standard Classic Badi to New Badi

hi,
Is it mandatory to migrate all standard classic badi's to New badi's in ECC6.0. I have read in the documentation only custom BADi's should be migrated.
Can we migrate Standard Classic badi's to New badi's, please provide the procedure for this.
when i am trying to do this in one way it is not allowing me to use the same class as classic badi used, so i have created custom class for this. Is it going to effect.

Calling New badi's is much faster than calling clasic badi's. SAP never recommends to convert all classic Badi's to New Badi's rather you convert your own Badi's to New Badi's. You cant convert SAP classical BADI to New Badi. if you want to convert custom Badi, then please go through this below link

How to transport package from 4.6c to ECC6.0! Please help

Hello everyone:
I have a development class ZXXX in 4.6c and I need to transport it to new system running with ECC6.0? There are several programs attched to ZXXX package/DevClass and I cannot modify any of them in new system with ECC6.0 because it gives me an error "Package ZXXX does not exist"!
Is development class from old version transportable to package in new version?
Can I just create a new package ZXXX in new version or do I have to do anything extra if I create a new package?
What is the best way to solve this problem?
I would really appreciate your feedback and all the answers will be rewarded.

You should transport the report AND the package together.
On your 4.6c system go to transaction SE80, right-click on the package and chose <i>Create Transport Request Entry</i>. Put the package into the transport request. Next add all reports (and other objects of the package that are referenced by your reports) into the request.
If possible create a transport request of the following type:
Relocation of objects w/o package change
Import the request into your ECC 6.0 system. If you cannot use a relocation transport request go to transaction SE03 and choose function:
Change Object Directory Entries of Objects in Request
Change the source system of your objects (previously 4.6c system) to the current ECC 6.0 system.
Finally, it is likely that you have to change the <b>transport layer</b> of the package to the new value used on your ECC 6.0 system.
Change the transport layer of your package and throw the resulting transport request away.

Change dummy profit center to original in New GL Concept

Hello experts
We have implemented New GL Concept in ECC6.0. However, some of the documents posted into various GL accounts had gone to Dummy profit center. Is there any way such that already posted documents with dummy profit center can be assigned corresponding original profit center? As of now due to the common dummy profit center has been assigned to various entries, the plant wise reports are not able to display correct figures because dummy profit center is not apportioned to respective plants.
Similar case is also with Vendor and Customer account balances.
We had already gone trough few notes and one of them (1164356) suggests using a BAdI FAGL_MIGR_SUBST, but its scope / use is somewhat ambiguous. (It suggests some ABAP work in VALIDATE_ITEM method, although this method is not present in its interface.)
Kindly help as early as possible...

You are not clear on your post
1) whether you have implemented Document Slitting or not?
2) Mapped Zero Balance account or not and
3) Profit Center and Zero Balance account are checked in document soplitting charactreristiocs or not?
I am posting this reply based on the assumption that you have mapped the above configuration.
If You have assigned Dummy Profit center in FAGL_3KEH, this always overrides the profit center derived, and the system posts with a dummy profit center. Remove the FAGL_3KEH assignment if any so that the system posts to the correct profit Centers.
Now If you have made the configuration as discussed in points 1,2 3 and other document splitting configurations, then removing FAGL_3KEH will force system to look for the profit centers in all the line items and posts only when this is satisfied.
A pre requisite will be "Assign Scenarios and Customer Fields to Ledgers" in FA global Settings(New)> Ledgers>Ledger which should be "Profit Center".
As a concept you may not need assignment of FAGL_3KEH once you have implemented document Splitting.

SOA and ECC6

Is anyone familiar with how SAP is handling the new SOA offerings in ECC6? Specifically, I heard that they are delivering all of the industry solutions with ECC6 and its up to the customer to activate the ones they want. How is this achieved?
Also if anyone has a list of the web services that sap is offering right now could you please forward.

I think you are asking an number of questions here and I'll try address most of them:
1. Industry Solution and mySAP ERP 2005: With the latest release of mySAP ERP, most of the Industry solutions are delivered with the core and not as add-ons. Within the SAP ECC, you can activate which Industry solution you wish to use (you can only activate one IS but multiple business sets). This uses the new switch framework feature delivered by SAP NetWeaver 2004s. Check the mySAP ERP 2005 master guide for more info (http://service.sap.com/instguides)
2. Web Services: SAP pans is to deliver Enterprise Services with mySAP ERP 2005. Enterprise services are based on Web service from a technology perspective but are more concerned with delivering actual business content at the right granularity. Web Services as a technology has been delivered since SAP NetWeaver 6.20 (previously called SAP Web AS). Customers can create web services from SAP or customer ABAP or Java code as they wish.
3. Enterprise Services and Industry Solutions: SAP will deliver its first set of Enterprise Services in Q2 2006 for mySAP ERP 2005. You can get a preview of these and code with them on a SDN delivered hosted system. This is a great opportunity to try them now (https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/developerareas/esa/esapreview). For a list of future Enterprise Services for Industry solutions, you can also check the SAP Solution maps which also highlight the future delivery of Enterprise Services (http://www.sap.com/solutions/businessmaps/index.epx).
