New Outlook 2013 User Unable to Publish default Calendar to WebDAV server

We have a new user. Created new Active Domain account, made domain account administrator on local machine and setup Outlook 2013 with our Go Daddy pop and smtp email settings.
Email messaging works fine.  When I try and share the default calendar there is no dialogue box for our WebDAV server.  Again, I right click the default calendar and see "Share", "Publish to a WebDAV Server..." but
nothing after that.  The box for the server location and sharing details just does not come up.
I created a new calendar and can share that.  A copy of the default calendar can be published, but not the default calendar itself.
Any ideas?

Was able to finally get the default calendar to publish. Seems that it had something to do with how many shared calendars the user was subscribed to. The user had accepted about a dozen calendar invitations.
Deleting the calendar subscriptions allowed the default calendar to publish to the WebDAV server.

  • Import contacts from old outlook 2013 to new Outlook 2013

I recently had to get a new computer.  I removed the boot drive from the old computer and installed it as drive F on the new computer. This worked great in recovering my large data files.  However, drive F contains an instance of Outlook 2013
as does drive C.  How do I copy to or import drive F's contact info to the new Outlook 2013 contacts?  I do not need the old email messages as I already have gotten them from the email service provider.

    Hi
As per the information and details provided by you, to import contacts from old Outlook 2013 to the new Outlook 2013 please follow these steps: -
Collect Files from the Old Computer
First, you need the PST from your old computer. In most cases, they will be in the default location Outlook uses. To quickly access the default PST location outside of
Outlook, paste this line in Windows Explorer’s address bar:
    %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
Copy the Files to the New Computer
Now, you will copy the PSTs to the new computer. If you have several PSTs in the folder and are not sure which one is the one with your data, look at the file dates and
file sizes. If you have 265KB PST files, they are empty and don’t need to be moved.
Paste the following line into the address bar.
    %USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
In this folder you will have the NK2, SRS, XML, outlprnt, and VBA project files.
Open the AppData Roaming folder using the following command and copy the NK2 file to the folder.
    %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Outlook
    Create a Profile
After the PST file is on the local drive, type mail in the start search field on the
Start menu or go to Control Panel, Mail then opens the profile dialog. (If you use the
Category view, mail is under the Users group; in Win 64-bit, Mail is under 32-bit application.
    Click the Show Profile button.
Click Add to create a new profile.
Enter a descriptive name for your profile.
Enter the name you want to use for your display name, your email address, and your password.
Add Your Existing Data File (PST) to the Profile
If you have an Outlook data file PST, and you want to use with your new profile, then please follow these steps: -
Select the newly created profile, then click Properties.
Click Data files button to open Account Setting dialog to the Data files tab.
Click Add then browse to your existing PST file.
If the PST is a native Outlook 2003/2007 file type, choose the top entry for the Outlook Personal File. Click Ok.
    Select your existing PST file.
You can enter a friendly name or just click OK to return the Account Settings dialog.
Click the Sets as Default button. Select the PST Outlook created when it created the profile and click Remove. If you want, click Open folder to find and deletes this PST.
I hope this information will be helpful for you.
    Thanks and regards

  • There is a problem with the proxy server's security certificate (internal Outlook 2013 users)

I am receiving the above message for internal Outlook 2013 users when they open Outlook. Despite this message, Outlook is fully functional. External OA users do not see this message. We are using an SRV record for our autodiscover and pointing it to the
name on the single cert we have. I've also already changed the outlookprovider record in Exchange. Any ideas?
    TIA!

    Hi Alceryes,
According to the error message, Outlook is unable to connect  to the proxy server (Error Code 10),
it seems an issue on the Certificate side.

  • Publish iCal Calendar using Tiger Server

I've been searching for a simple way to publish iCal calendars using Tiger Server. Here is what I need to do:
I need one user to be able to publish multiple "studio schedule" calendars to the Tiger server...and I need all the regular users in the studio to be able to subscribe to it so that they can see what work they have scheduled for the day. The regular users do NOT need to be able to make changes to the calendar...they only need to see it. (and print it if needed) Only the studio manager needs to be able to see and edit the published calendar.
I called Apple support for help on this one and they told me they would have to charge me $695 just for me to be able to get help on this....which surprised me because I'm just trying to use their software to do something it is supposed to be able to do! LOL The only other suggestion he could give was for me to look to the discussion groups here for help....so here I am!

The first thing you need to do is set up WebDAV on the Server and share a directory. If you need instructions on how to that just follow this thread.
    http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=2793917#2793917
Once you've set up a shared directory you just publish the calendar to it from within iCal.
To do that, set up a calendar, select it and then select 'Publish' under the 'Calendar' menu. In the dialog box that opens up give the calendar a name without spaces. Select 'Publish on: a Private Server'.
In the field for 'Base URL:' fill-in the complete url to the server directory you set up previously using the WebDAV instructions. For example, if you set up a directory on the server called 'calendars' and the URL of the server is www.example.com you would put in 'Base URL: http://www.example.com/calendars'.
Now enter the 'Login' name and 'Password' for an account that has access to the shared directory as you've set it up using the WebDAV instructions.
Select the other options you want to enable in the dialog box and then click on 'Publish'. Now the calendar is published and available for others to subscribe to.
Now to subscribe to the calendar, just select 'Subscribe' under the 'Calendar' menu in iCal and enter the URL for the calendar. Using the example from above you would enter 'webcal://www.example.com/calendars/StudioWork.ics' for a calendar that was named 'StudioWork'.
You can also email the URL for the published calendar by selecting it in iCal and selecting 'Send Publish Email...' under the 'Calendar' menu in iCal.

  • New Outlook 2013 Installation - How to configure for default pop email and access exchange 2003 server for shared folders only

I have successfully installed and configured outlook 2013 to access my pop.integra.net email accounts.  We have an 2003 exchange server we use for shared folders which I am having difficulty accessing.
My preference would be to set up my access to the exchange server and use the same data folders for email as are in use for my pop email account.  In outlook 2003 this was simple, but in 2007 on up it seems this feature has been hobbled.  Is there
a workaround to get both accounts to use the same database?
Next issue is if I use the Mail client wizard under Control Panel to set up access to the exchange server - everything looks fine but when launching outlook I receive the following 2 error messages:
"The resource that you are trying to use is located on an unsupported version of Microsoft Exchange.  Contact your e-mail administrator for assistance."
"Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. The set of folders cannot be opened.  Your Microsoft Exchange administrator has blocked the version of Outlook that your are using.  Contact your administrator for assistance."
Obviously the optimal solution is to upgrade the Exchange Server - assuming that is not an option - are there any workarounds?
    Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Downgraded to Office 2007.
So now have a new Windows 8.1 laptop with outlook 2007 installed.
From what I have been told this should allow me to connect to the Exchange2003 server
I set up the pop account - works fine
set up the exchange account through Mail.exe and am unable to launch outlook.
    "Microsoft Exchange is Unavailable"
"Retry - Work Offline - Cancel"
    Then
"Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook.  Cannot open the Outlook Window.  The set of folders cannot be opened.  The information store could not be opened."
The data file path is the same for both the pop account and the exchange account:
    C:\Users\Scott\app data\local\microsoft\outlook\outlook.pst
How do I get this to work?

  • Outlook 2013 custom view reverting to default at random times

I have a customer who uses very specific view columns, color coding, and ordering to go with some custom addins. Every couple of months, his default view settings saved under "userdefaultview" will revert to default for no apparent reason.
Windows updates are not causing this as there is no time correlation.
System restore has worked once in the past, but is not working right now.
User is on Outlook 2013 connected to Exchange 2010 through an onsite server. He only uses one onsite desktop, and remotes in with other devices due to the large amount of customization on his Outlook client.
    Thank you.

since Outlook 2003, the view settings information is stored in the mailbox or PST file. it may be difficult to determine the root cause because this issue happens every couple of months. the cause may lie with the client side or the server side.
to work around it, try to back up the custom views to a pst file which we can use to restore the views if this issue occurs. see:
    http://www.outlook-tips.net/how-to/copy-outlook-custom-views/
after the backup, we can also try starting outlook with outlook /cleanviews and wait to see if it will fix the issue.

We are on Exchange 2013 SP1 and we are randomly seeing all Outlook 2013 clients getting "the Microsoft Exchange administrator has made a change..." forcing them to restart Outlook. Outlook 2010 clients are not affected so seems to be related to

  • Outlook 2013 Constantly Prompting For Credentials - Exchange 2007 - Small Business Server 2008

Hello, I am having a problem using Windows Small Business Server 2008 and Exchange 2007 with Outlook 2013. The issue is that a credentials box appears in Outlook 2013 when using there exchange account whilst connected to the domain. The box will randomly
prompt for user credentials, once the user credentials are entered it will either pop back up again and if you enter the details in again it will continue to pop up for around 4 or 5 times before accepting the credentials. It will then pop back up within 15
minutes and do the same thing, if you click "Cancel" on the box it will also go away and remain connected to exchange however a popup in the bottom right will appear asking for a password even though you can send / receive from the mailbox.
I have looked into this issue for hours and hours and still can not find a resolution, I have tried re-installing Office 2013 and re-creating the Outlook Profile as-well as as the Windows 7 Profile. I have checked through all the SSL certificates in IIS
and everything appear to be correct.
Is this a common issue? Is there anything I can do to further diagnose or fix this issue without having to try to re-install both the server and machine?

    Hi James_wilson,
    Any update?
Just additional, would you please let me know whether have installed all updates for Outlook 2013? If hasn’t, please install and then monitor the result.
Please also check if you enable
Always prompt for logon credentials setting in Outlook 2013.
If you enable this setting, please uncheck and check if this issue still persists. Meanwhile, please remove the old credential in
Credential Manager, then add again. Then monitor the result
By the way, please run the Exchange BPA on the SBS 2008 server and check if can find some issue.
    Hope this helps.
    Best regards,

  • Sending Calendar Appointment from Macbook to my wife's PC with Outlook 2013 and it sends a whole calendar and not just the one appointment.

I have a Macbook Pro Late 2013, running OS X 10 Yosemite 10.10.1 and my wife has a PC with Windows 7. I use calendar that comes with my Macbook and she uses Outlook 2013 calendar. When I email from Mail on my Macbook an appointment event and my wife opens the email with the appointment, it wants to add a whole new calendar for this one event, why is this? I just want to send her a single appointment not a whole calendar.
I tried to see if Apple Calendar on my Macbook has any options to help with this issue and I can't see anything that will help.
Should I check out the Outlook 2013 on my wife computer to see what options if any that I need to change to help with this problem?

  • Outlook 2013 repeatedly prompts for password when connecting to Exchange Server 2010

I am trying to configure Outlook 2013 on a Windows 8.1 Pro client.  The exchange server is 2010 SP1 and works just fine with OL 2010.
When I configure OL 2013, the configuration prompts for a password for the account repeatedly with both NTLM and Basic Authentication chosen.  OL 2013 tries to connect and then it disconnects with the password for the account repeatedly prompted. When
the credentials are entered, the prompt reappears immediately.
    Might anyone help?
    Many thanks in advance

    Hi Shuvo,
Please check whether this user can access mailbox in OWA. Please manual setup this account in Control Panel to have a try. Make sure your
Server name and User name are configured correctly. If you are configure the account in internal domain environment, please click
More Settings, set Negotiate Authentication in
Security tab and uncheck Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP in Connection tab.
If there is any updates, please feel free to let us know.

  • Outlook 2013: Cannot insert any attachments into calendar events & tasks

    Hi,
I encountered a seemingly ridiculous problem:
I cannot insert any attachments into calendar events & tasks in
Outlook 2013 on a Win 8.1 machine. Outlook simply ignores CTRL-V paste actions with files and also all drag&drop actions with files. Does anyone have a solution or similar problems?
Outlook 2013 runs using an exchange server account (Outlook.com / Office 365) on the machine.
Even if there is a logic behind this behavior, Outlook should at least inform the user why it rejects inserting the attachment.
Inserting attachments into e-mails works fine.
All 3rd party add-ins have been disabled, to avoid interference of an add-in.
    Christian

    Hi,
This is an known issue, you can refer to the article that our MVP Diane Poremsky wrote:
Attachments are hidden in Outlook.com tasks and appointments
    http://slipstick.com/outlook/olc-hotmail/attachments-hidden-outlookcom-tasks-contacts-appointments/
My opinion is, since Outlook.com calendar doesn't support attachments, this may be expected when you are using an Outlook.com account.
Feel free to let me know if I misunderstood anything.

  • Can Blackberry users subscribe to published iCal calendar?

I have published an iCal calendar to my MobileMe account. Of course, doing so generates a link which allows Mac/iPhone users to subscribe by clicking the link. PC users can subscribe to it through Outlook by clicking the link, and so forth.
There has to be a way to have BB users to subscribe to the calendar and get updates in real time like iPhone users, isn't there?
Just want to make a calendar available to parents on a sports team... thanks in advance for any advice.

    Greetings,
I'm afraid I am not a Blackberry user myself so I can't answer (although perhaps someone else in this forum is a RIM user and will have some additional insight for you).
What I can tell you is:
iCal creates a "webcal" publication on the MobileMe server. Any program / device that supports the webcal standard (iCal, iPhone, iPod, Outlook on Windows, etc.) should be able to subscribe to that link.
Your question really is "Does Blackberry support the webcal standard and if so, how do I add a webcal link to a Blackberry?" That question might be better asked of Blackberry users or RIM, the company that makes Blackberry. As they are the people that use Blackberrys / the company that makes the product, they would know the answer.
    Blackberry discussion forum: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/

  • Can multiple users alter a published ical calendar/to do list?

two people , both with .mac accounts and used to using and publishing ical calendars, want a shared task list and shared calendar. both should be able to alter both.
    is it possible?
    thanks
    e

This is exactly what a colleague and I want to do - and two more colleagues will want to join in on our shared calendar and to do list soon . All of us have .mac accounts etc. Surely lots of people would want this straightforward feature too....
We don't, however, want to have to swap our .mac login details with each other. If I understand you right Gotham, that is what your soultion is. Thanks but not suitable for me.
If iCal can't do this, why not? and what can?
