New Pages - inserting a picture makes text move - why! Urgent

With the old pages you could insert a number of things on top of or next to each other and it was fine
Now, when I have some text in a text box, or some images, and try to place a new image next to it, it causes the existing items to move!
Why?!
Please help me fix this, I'm desperate!

To adjust the positioning of an object, tap on it to select, then tap the formatting icon (paint brush), tap Arrange and select the relational position you wish to use.

I just realized that I shot both horizontally and vertically and when I preview (on full-screen) what I've combined, first it's wide-screen, then it's tall, narrow with wide black sides.
The film looks choppy, no flow, since it alternates horizontally and vertically.
I can import the vertical clips two ways: "Full-Original Size", or "Large 960x540." But the vertical clips have very short, fat people.
This didn't happen with my Flip HD; the movies are smooth and terrific. My heart is breaking.....please, how can I make the videos match?

Yes, I'd like to use all the video I shot, put it together with music, titles, etc. and make it consistant. when it goes from full screen to this vertical, narrow clip, it's very awkward.....and it's so narrow, it's hard to see what I'm looking at; my eyes don't make the adjustment quickly.

Spawning a new page depending on whether a text field is populated or not

I am trying to create a form that once the last line is in the description field contains text it will automatically spawn a new page directly below the page being filled in. I am so googled out.

The renaming of the form fields is controlled by the spawn method. It is a passed parameter. By default the new page will be inserted after the first page, the fields will be renamed, the form will not overlay.
Because the fields are renamed in a standard manner, you need to create your scripts to allow for this. I usually do this by using JavaScript to access the focused field name, event.target.name, and split the field name into an array and then compute the field names that need to be accessed.
Did you open the JavaScript console and see if there are any errors?
Have you opened the form and looked at the form in the edit mode?

Trying to insert a picture behind text in Word 2011 for Mac

Can someone please help me? I am very fluent in Word 2010 for Windows, and this was a simple process. I was attempting to create a document in Word 2011 for Mac, like I've done many times on my pc. I wanted a picture in the background, with text on top of that. In the windows version, I would simply go to headers & footers, insert my picture, and set the word wrap to "behind text." When I closed the header/footer, I could put my text on top of the picture and by adjusting the text color and placement, I could create greeting cards, posters, flyers, whatever. Yesterday I tried to do the same with Word 2011 for Mac, and could not get rid of the white background behind my text. After attempting all the tricks I knew, I finally gave up. Can someone out there please point me in the right direction? (I tried to include a screen shot, but can't figure out how to use that little "insert image" button up there either. Sigh.)

Since yours is a question about a feature in MS Word for Mac, I would recommend reposting your question in Microsoft's Support site for Word for Mac. The experts there would be more conversant in that App.

News Iview insert more picture

Can News Iview allowed to insert more than 1 pictures in portal? Our company's New Iview only allows us to insert ONE pic, but our users do have the need to insert more than just one. Is there any way out? What should I do?

Yes, is possible, you must to create your own xml form, with XML Form Builder, in order to include more pictures.
This application is in the portal role "Content Management".
For default, surely you are using SAP demo news, this is a sample form with one picture.

Why does any change I make (text/move/transform/etc.) lag until my next click?

I'm running AI CS6 on Windows 7 64-bit and whenever I perform any action in AI the changes are not visible until I click again. I'm also experiencing issues with the toolbar coordinating with the current tool (as in I have to usually click the tool and click somewhere else, then the tool again for the toolbar to refresh to the appropriate tool). Basically anything I do in AI takes forever.
My PC has pretty high specs (i7 quad, 8gb ram, SSD) so I don't know why I'm experiencing such poor performance. Can anyone give me any advice?

Usually when i have weird glitches i can't figure out, i trash/move my preferences folder. I bookmarked Jacob's site with the instructions. It's not for CS6 but maybe you can figure it out from this?

I'm not sure what you call it but your arrow pointer would turn into a hand and you could click on it. Now, when I post using FireFox, I don't get that ability. If I use FireFox and view older post that were created with IE, the link is there but not the post from FF. It's only when I post using FF.

How can I make the GRID lines more bold within a table in the new Pages? (Not the outline of a table)

I can't find where to darken GRID lines on a table in the new Pages. I can make the outline more bold, but not the grid lines within the table. Is there a way to do this? The default grid lines are far too faint.

Yeah, the Help is missing a little.
If you select the block of cells that you want to change, then in the Format inspector:
Select the Cell tab
Expand the Border section
Set a line type
Set a line width
Choose a line color
Choose one of the nine options for which borders get the new settings

Need to add a new page 1 to a completed form

I have a 4 page form that was completed. Now I need to add a new page 1 with information in text fields. When I insert a page it is inserted as the last page. I then move the page in the Hierarchy to the correct position and get 2 blank pages. When I try to delete the first one, I'm told there is no subform so the page cannot be deleted and the command is ended.

Hi,
    I think I found the issue with the form..you can confirm..
    For the page/ Subform "GuestSysAccessReq" you selected "Following Previous", for "Place" under Pagination tab. And rest of the Pages/ subforms you selected "Top of Next Page" as a value for "Place". And again at the end for "guidelines" page you selected "Top of Page -> Page1" as a value for "Place".
   I corrected all the pages/ subforms to have the same value for the "Place" field as "Top of Page -> Page1" and then I added a new page and I could able to move the page to be the first page in the heirarchy. It did not add an empty page.. I am attaching the modified frm in the forum for your reference..

LiveOffice - New page per section

Hello all!
I have users that work a lot with LiveOffice. Now they want to create a Word-Documemt with a new page for each section in the report (like it is possible with PDF) without selecting each section manually. Is this possible, and how can they do it?

Inserting a section from the Insert menu will always insert the new section at the end of your document. Sections are continuous elements so, if you want to move the new section to the middle of an existing one, you'll have to insert section breaks to separate the pages.
If you're just wanting a new page in the middle of a section, why not use a page break?

What is the code at the top of new pages?

DW inserts this code at the top of new pages:

It's up to you. I wouldn't leave a page without a doctype on a commercial site, but that's me. This is entirely your decision....

The doctype should be consistent with the code used on the page. If you use an XHTML doctype, you would want to use XHTML tag syntax, not HTML tag syntax. You can easily change from one (or none) to the other using DW's menu option - FILE | Convert > YOUR DOCTYPE "FLAVOR" HERE.

Labeling to appear on new page - urgent

I have a report where under one mine say I have multiple records so I have written a format trigger on the frame so that for each of the multiple records the labeling does not appear but this has to appear on each new page - how do I make this possible - I will not be able to remove it outside of its repeating frame as else the data does not come out properly. please help- urgent

Dont place it inside the reapeting frame place it outside and in the property pallete if the label mention print on all pages

Acrobat X Pro makes text disappear from a page when I insert that page into another PDF

I printed a single page Microsoft Project schedule to PDF using Acrobat X Pro. All good. I then inserted that one page into another PDF document using Tools/Insert Pages/Insert from File. Much of the text in the inserted page goes missing after inserting that page into the other PDF document. How do I prevent this disappearing text problem?

Does the inserted page have a lot of markup? I do not think the markup will insert.

Pictures in text boxes on Pages 5.0

So the update to Pages has had quite a radical overhaul. Most of it I can get used to but there seems to be a major change to how text boxes work. Previously if I create a text box I can drag around the page and everything remains inside of it, in the same place. Now, the pictures I put into text boxes stay on the same part of the page, but the text box moves. How can I arrange it so if I insert a picture into a text box it remains in the same place always.
Also, editing text boxes seems strange now. Trying to click the cursor into the text box so you can edit text seems bizarrly difficult and takes way too many clicks. What's going on there?
Sorry one more thing - I use Pages every single day for something with exactly the same format each time. Therefore being able to simply highlight text from the day before and paste over it with the new text was a massive time saver. Especially as using "alt+cmd+shift+v" would keep it in the same format. Now it doesn't paste over, it pastes but keeps the old text below it, even though I'm still highlighting the old text.

I think that these issues are most likely bugs. I have found and reported a couple bugs related to text boxes as well. You can and should report bugs to Apple here:

Meanwhile, a workaround for your first issue that I have been using is selecting the image in the text box, and also selecting the text box itself, and choosing Arrange -> Group. This will move everything around together, while allowing you to double-click on the text an extra time to still edit it. It's definitely a workaround and not a bug fix, but it should allow you to work semi-normally until the bug does get fixed by Apple.
As regards your second issue, I am not able to reproduce that problem when I test it. For me, selecting text and pasting over it, with or without matching style, replaces only the highlighted text. Can you perhaps provide more details and how this issue happens?
