New System Feedback with GIGABYTE GIGABYTE GA-X79S-UP5-WIFI Intel X79

Hi guys, this will be my first custom built system,   I am ordering it from Cyberpowerpc.  My needs are moderate as I mainly do part time event videography.   I will mostly use premiere pro, lightroom and basic  after effects. I was hoping to stay around $1500. The specs are:
Cooler Master Storm Trooper Full Tower  or
CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-3820 Quad-Core 3.60 GHz 10MB Intel Smart Cache LGA2011 (All Venom OC Certified)
HDD: 2TB (2TBx1) SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 64MB Cache 7200RPM HDD (Single Drive)
MEMORY: 16GB (4GBx4) DDR3/1600MHz Quad Channel Memory (Corsair or Major Brand)
MOTHERBOARD: * (3-way SLI/CrossFireX Support) GIGABYTE GA-X79S-UP5-WIFI Intel X79 Chipset Quad Channel DDR3 ATX Mainboard w/ Ultra Durable 5, Intel C606 Chipset w/ SAS, Bluetooth 4.0/WiFi Card, 7.1 HD Audio, Dual GbLAN, 4 Gen3 PCIe x16, 1 PCIe x1 & 1 PCI [+110]
SOUND: HIGH DEFINITION ON-BOARD 7.1 AUDIO
VIDEO: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB 16X PCIe 3.0 Video Card [+135] (Major Brand Powered by NVIDIA)
      800 Watts - Standard 80 Plus Certified Power Supply - SLI/CrossFireX Ready      (for $90 extra  I can get   1,000 Watts - LEPA G1000-MA 80 Plus Gold Certified)
There is currently a rebate on the GIGABYTE GA-X79S-UP5-WIFI Intel X79 and a free 64GB ADATA SP900 SATA III 6.0Gb/s SSD with the board. Seems to be a nice board, do you guys recommend I go with it or should I just look at Asus Pro or Sabertooth.  I could use the ssd for the OS  and  Adobe.
I already have several 7200rpm drives that  I can configuire with the system for premiere.

Harm do you think I should stick with the stock psu, cyberpower didn't list a make and model but it's a
800 Watts - Standard 80 Plus Certified Power Supply
or should I spend $90 extra and upgrade to
1,000 Watts - LEPA G1000-MA 80 Plus Gold Certified

  • Looking for a new system working with the adobe creative suite

    Hello everybody,
i was 6 years happy with my asus notebook series x55s for what I paid around 1000 €.
I worked until CS5 with it but now it is getting a little slow and I am looking for a new system.
I am considering buying an Imac such as
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/FC814LL/A/refurbished-imac-27-inch-31ghz-quad-core-intel -core-i5
but I never bought an apple computer, I am just used to edit on one from work and school
    or
buying an Asus Laptop again (f.g. the Asus N56VM)
    http://www.cnet.com/laptops/asus-n56vm-ab71-15/4505-3121_7-35544410.html which I found for around 900€
and a screen with 27 inch such as the Samsung Sync Master P2770 (around 250€)
I am mostly editing Full HD material from the Ex1 and DSLR on premiere CS5 and 6.
Since I am not that technically expert I would like to have some opinions/ suggestions of you regarding
    my thoughts.
I would like to spent up to 1600 €.
    Thank you so much!

  • HEY APPLE! What are upgrade policy plans for new systems shipping with 10.4

I just ordered a brand new Xserver, thinking that there would be some policy in place for brand new computers shipping with 10.4, to get the new version of OSX Leopard Server (without having to buy a retail copy) - however to my surprise, there is nothing currently in place.
Will there be an upgrade policy soon for users who have just ordered new computers, currently shipping with 10.4??? Or should we return recently ordered items, and stop ordering new systems until they start shipping with 10.5?

Assumptions such as this one are often a recipe for disappointment and/or for extra expenses; I've certainly learned to be cautious with these.
In this case, there is a policy that has been in place (AFAIK) since the Leopard announcement.
For details on and requirements of the Leopard upgrade policy, do read the [Mac OS X Up To Date|http://www.apple.com/macosx/uptodate> web site.
Those folks outside the Leopard upgrade window that are upgrading to Leopard (and that don't have a separately-purchased Right-to-Upgrade) will be purchasing and ordering the upgrade. You may end up purchasing an iLife upgrade, too — if you're using it, and not already at the current release — as Mac OS X and Mac OS X Server upgrades apparently do not include an iLife upgrade.

  • SAP Logon - New System Entry with Group-/Serverselection

    Hallo there,
I've got a problem and maybe anyone can help.
On SAP Logon I can do a new Entry of a SAP System.
Then I can choose between  user defined application Server and Groups-/Serverselection.
If I use Group-/Serverselection and add the System-ID and the Message Server the InputField of Group/Server is
automatically filled with the Logon-Groups of the Message Server.
    Now to my Question:
How does this Work? Is there any Documentation?
I want to Implement this process in a Web Dynpro Application and i don't find any documents how this process work.
    Regards Chris

    Can anybody help me?

  • How to create a new System Data

    Hi guys.
I need to create a new System Data with which to filter a list output using a field derivated from siebel marketing. This data isn't between the standard system data like CampaingCode, SegmentId .....
Now i discover one .XML file (someting like Marketing....xml), in the OracleBIData/web/config directory, in which there are defined all the standard System data like:
    <WebExpression>
    </WebExpression>
Can I try to modify this file and add a new system data? if the answere is YES, hao i can do this? My real problem is how take a system value, from siebel marketing, to assign at this new systme data.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi
    thanks for your solution,
i created a new Data carrier type AC for viewing auto cad files and given the path as, C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2006\acad.exe"
and at Define serveres and files or folders,
defined the data carrier as Autocad type was default as AC,
at Identify frontend computers i could not enter any thing it is only in display form and no values were there and niether could be entered.
and my datacarrier created is not there to be selected while creating documents.
    through CV01N create documents.
i suppose this is because i have already defaulted PC as the data carrier type. default system as my data carrier.
please clarify my Below douts also
as in my configuration i have defined only one Datacarrier ie Default PC, will this do all the need full, or will lead to to any complication in any aspect,
i want to know what is the Advantages of defining many datacarriers or the Limitation of a single Datacarrier.
iam facing a situation where a particular software say PDF reader or AutoCAD, is not installed in all the System. and iam thinking of installing this Software in a particular System or say in the Content Server system.
can this software be made used to view these cad and Pdf files on the front end system where this software is not installed,
Say in a particular PC the software AutoCAD is not installed and if he wants to View the AutoCAD file,
    another problem iam facing is
while Creating a New AutoCAD file in my system through DMS Create, it gives a message "Drawing file is not Valid"
while i can create a Word Doc File, but it is not possible to create a new AutoCAD file throuh DMS, (AutoCAD is Installed in my system)
also i have no idea of how to create a New Data carrier type,
what exactly have to be filled in
    1, define data carrier type
2, define server and files or folder
    3, identify frontend computers
please provide configuration details or if possible screen shot details
points will be awarded for sure.
    Thanks and Regards

  • BASIC PREPARATION FOR INSTALLATION OF A NEW SYSTEM

Here is some advice on the steps to take for a successful installation of Snow Leopard (or any major system update or upgrade):
    1. Do not start until you have made two bootable back-ups, so that you can easily return to the situation you had before the installation, if something goes wrong. A bootable back-up is a back-up of everything on your drive to an external drive and made "bootable" (that is, you can boot off this external drive to restore your main drive to its pre-existing condition). There are a number of pieces of software which make bootable back-ups. For little money, you can use Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper. I use Synchronize Pro X, which costs a bit but is industrial strength software. Over the years, I've found that SPX does the job much faster than CCC or SD, and, most importantly, Qdea (the SPX people) puts out a new version of SPX to deal with the new system or update much more quickly than do any of the other back-up software people. Sometimes you won't get the new version of CCC or SD until quite a while after the release of the new system software, and you're not able to make a bootable back-up in time, if you want to install the new system software quickly. HAVING A BOOTABLE BACK-UP IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY TO ENSURE THAT YOU DON'T LOSE ANY DATA AND THAT YOU CAN RECOVER QUICKLY IF THERE'S A PROBLEM WITH AN INSTALLATION. Test the bootable back-up by booting off it before you try the installation of the new software.
    2. Verify and Repair your main drive and Repair Permissions before doing any major installation. You want your drive data to be in excellent shape before putting in a new system or update. When the installation is done, repair the permissions again.
    3. Check carefully for any information about the compatibility of the new system software with your primary applications and peripherals (in particular, printers). Even with a good new installation, you may lose a printer if it's old and there's no new driver for it. Don't be surprised after the installation that you've lost the use of your printer or other important peripheral device.
    4. If you run into problems, check the Apple discussion forums to see if someone else had the same problems and find out what they did to solve them.

You may be able to make a bootable back-up with DU, but DU can't do a quick update of the back-up as time progresses. The beauty of a piece of software like Synchronize Pro X is that, once you have a bootable back-up, you can quickly update it week by week. SPX can very quickly find the changes in your master drive and put those changes on the bootable back-up. With DU you have to start from scratch each time to make a whole new disk image.
A bootable back-up isn't just for use to protect against an installation problem. I've had a computer stolen in a hotel room, and I was able to use a friend's computer (which was also a Mac) to keep working. I just hooked up my back-up, booted off it and now his computer appeared to be my computer, because my bootable back-up recreated my usual work environment on his computer.
Similarly, if your main drive fails, you've lost nothing if you have a bootable back-up. You're up and running again very quickly.
I keep my bootable back-ups up-to-date always. And with Synchronize Pro X, this is very quickly and easily done.

  • "Create New System Entry" screen

    Hello,
I would like to make pre-configured connection settings available to users in my company. When the New button is clicked in SAP Logon the first screen that comes up is "Create New System Entry" with a text of:
"Select one of the available systems from the list below. If you choose the first entry, you can specify the system parameters yourself."
However the only entry in the list is "User Specified System"
How can I populate that list with pre-configured settings for users to choose?
    - Regards,
    Richard Bailey

    Hi Richard,
Yes the integration between Active Directory and SAP systems management exists. However, the automatic registration of systems in the active directory could have been done during the installation of SAP system itself.

  • My computer crashed - how to transfer to my new system without loosing my music.

Recently my desktop crashed and I was forced to buy a new system.  My older version nano has a lot of songs that I recorded and do not want to lose.  How do I proceed to get my new system updated with ITunes and transfer my music to my new desktop?

Interesting.  I tried to build a new system based on their X79-UD5 motherboard, and for the life of me I couldn't get it to POST into its BIOS setup.  No amount of keyboard pressing (or smashing) would get me past the opening screen.  I tried even swapped the motherboard with a new one (along with the 3930k chip, if you believe that).
That was the first system I ventured away from my usual stand-by of Asus.  I thought Gigabyte had a good name, but it left a fairly bad taste in my mouth.

  • New system with Neo4 Platinum doesn't work at all!!!

    Hi guys,
    I bought my new system:
    1 - AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Core Venice
    2 - MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum /BIOS 1.1
    3 - RAM S3+ 1GB (2x512 MB)
4 - Western Digital Caviar SE 120 GB SATA WD1200JD
    5 - Hitachi Deskstar 80 GB SATA II HDS728080PLA380
    6 - NEC 3500AG DVD-RW
    7 - Albatron 6600GT 128 MB PCI-E
    8 - Enermax Noisetaker 485W
    Where is the problem?
It's IMPOSSIBLE to install the OS.
    I can't install Windows XP, I can't install Windows 2000, I can't install Windows 98.......
When I try to install Windows (no matter what version) the system tell me that it CAN'T read or write some file from the CD to the HD.
No matter what files it is, once it's the shell32.dll...... another installation it's the file ntdll.dll....... another time the file riched20.dll....... another time it's the file "whatTHEhell!" and so....
I tried to connect one only HD, I tried to connect the WD and the same. I tried to connect the HITACHI, and the same.
I tried to connect my HD to SATA 1, 2, 3, 4 on nVidia controller, and the same.
I tried with the Silicon Image controller and nothing changed.
I tried to change the optical drive, I connected my old ASUS CD 50x and disconnected the DVD Writer, but the same.
I've started to think that this could be a cable issue, then I changed the IDE Cable and the SATA cable... but nothing.
I flashed the bios from version 1.1 to 1.4 with the support to Venice core, the same.
I also disconnected my SATA HD and I've plugged in my old PATA HD, an old Samsung 6,4 GB HD............... BUT NOTHING!
I can't imagine nothing more to do to solve the problem, but I'm listening for your advices.
    Thank's.

    hi elem,
Type of floppy i meant was 1 with a usb componenent like:-
    Mitsumi FA404M 1.44 Silver FDD+Int USB2 7 in 1 Card Reader so if it's just a n ordinary floppy i'd plug it back in.
I'd try 3) Memtest86+ run it as decribed in the link to verify your memory isn't the issue.
    luck
    Yes Supershanks and blazing storm,
I misanderstood, but now I reattached my floppy and performed a full scan of my HDDs
with their own diagnostic tools, downloaded from the Western Digital and Hitachi websites.
I choosed the DOS version that make a bootable floppy disk and verified the drives.
The HDDs are working fine and there's no errors on the surface, the HDDs are ok.
Quote from: SAB on 05-June-05, 19:35:43
Try swapping the optical drive that you are loading the O.S. from. Make sure SATA controller AND SATA ports are enabled. Make sure IDE controller for floppy is also enabled. Perhaps your optical drive has one piece of dust on just the wrong place. That's all it takes to throw one of those things off!!!
SAB, I've tried to swapping my optical drives yet. I've tried a DVD-RW NEC 3500 AG, then a CD Player from ASUS, then a CD-RW from LITEON.
The same problem with the new system, but these are performing very well on my old pc, then these aren't the problem.
I think the problem could be only on CPU, or MOTHERBOARD or MEMORY.
    Thank's Supershanks, I'm downloading MemTest86+ for a memory scan.
I'll let you guys to know as fast as possibile the results!

Look iTunes>Preferences>Devices...is a backup listed for your iPhone 5 dated BEFORE you restored your iPhone 4 backup to your iPhone 5? If not, your data is gone. If there is a backup, on your iPhone 5: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings. You should now be able to restore that backup, if it exists, to your iPhone 5.
