Newbie: form doesn't display any records

Forgive me, I am new to forms.
I created a form with a tab canvas.
I have 3 blocks (2 related to the first).
When I run the form, it comes up with a blank record.
I can't navigate to any records, I get an error that says record must be entered or deleted first.
I don't want to use the form for insert, update, or delete, so I disabled insert, update, and delete in each block.
How can I see all the records?

When you get this error at run time, select Help > Display Error from the menu. This displays the Oracle error which is behind the inability to execute a query, and also displays the SQL statement that Forms was trying to execute.
A common reason for this error is that you may have a non base table item whose Database Item property is set to Yes.

Hi guys
I modified one form that was based on a signle DB table. I removed certain fields from the table and added some extra fields to that table. Then based on the new table I also modified the form and removed the text items related to old fields in the table and added new text items pointing to the new fields now. II have checked all the new items properties and they have don't seem to be wrong or so. But now the problem is the form does not display all the records from the table. before it used to display all records from the table when qureied but not now. It only certain records from the table containing all new data and also old data but the form does not display other records though I don't see any obvious discrepancy. Remember that the before doing the modifications, I have table back for the old, created another table that contained new records for the new fields, and then I inserted the old records and updated the new table data in the new table with these new table values. So this way I have got my new table. Could someone help why the new modified form fails to display all records from the new table updated table though it display some of them successfully.

Form doesn't display Crystal Viewer

Hello,
I'm working with Crystal Report for Visual 2010, I have little experience working with crystal. The problem is, my application in the local machine displays correctly the report but when is running on the server the form doesn't display the crystal report viewer, neither displays any error. But the crystal report is generted correctly becuase the form has a button to send the roport by email and the report is sent correctly. I think the crystal report reports is well intalled in server because donsn't throw any error but something is missing.

IPhoto 9.6 doesn´t display any pictures from library, upgraded

iPhoto 9.6 doesn´t display any pictures from library. I have upgraded from an old iPhoto. I upgraded the Library also.
Everything is inside the Library I can see but when I run iPhoto I get only a yellow note on the screen and no pictures?

Then iPhoto has probably opened a new, empty library, because it could not find or access your iPhoto library. What happens, whiny double-click the Library to open it directly?
Where is your iPhoto library stored? Is it in the Pictures folder or on an external drive?

Sorry, missed that fact. My memory is good, but short.
Try moving the "Calendar Cache" file to your Desktop. Quit iCal, and find the "Calendar Cache" file in your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Calendars. Move that file to your Desktop. After that, (I remember that I recommended this before), as long as you are moving files to the Desktop, repeat the plist removal procedure once again, log out/in or restart.
You should also consider removing the "To Do's" from Mail before restarting iCal. When you open iCal turn off "Show Birthdays calendar" in iCal>Preferences...>General.
Are you syncing any data? If so, what method(s) are you using?

SQL Developer 1.5.4.59.40 doesn't display any data or only nulls

I've got a problem with SQL Developer after I downloaded the latest version *1.5.4.59.40*. SQLDev doesn't display any data or displays only few lines of nulls within information tabs: Column, DATA, Constraints, Grants, Stats, triggers and so on....

The problem is solved by upgrading an oracle client_1 to 11g version,
Apparently these are the files which have caused the problem in old version of the oracle client (10.2.0..):
SQL Developer is using client's libs by default when it's installed for ex.:
jdbc.driver.home     /D:/oracle/product/10.2.0/client_1/
jdbc.library     /D:/oracle/product/10.2.0/client_1/jdbc/lib/ojdbc5.jar
AND:
orai18n.library     /D:/oracle/product/10.2.0/client_1/jlib/orai18n.jar
above libs are not compatible with the latest version of SQLDeveloper.
That's why the problem occurs.

I was using the template.fmb to create a new custom form. It works fine, BUT it can't display any system message such as ""FRM-40400 Transaction complete: 1 record applied and saved"

UDO forms doesn't display after export

Appraisals data doesn't deliver any records, or does it?

I'm trying to implement the Appraisals datasources (PA-PD-PM from HCM) and can't seem to get any data out of datasources 0HR_PA_HAP_1/2/3 or 0HAP_DOC_ID_ATTR. I do get 5 records from 0HAP_DOC_ID_TEXT which is what I expected from 0HAP_DOC_ID_ATTR.
Has anyone seen this before? I'm on BW 3.5.3 with EA-HR 5.0.
Datawise, I have 5 course appraisals that I am looking at. They are delivered out of the text datasource, but I can't get any data from the attributes or transactional datasources. All of these appraisals are in status completed and I can view 5 records in each of the following tables: HRHAP, HRHAP_T, HRHAP_APPEE, and HRHAP_PROCESS. I also see many records in HRHAP_FINAL and HRHAP_BASIC.

I have the same problem as you had. I am not able to extract any records through appraisals datasources. I am also dealing with course appraisal data (LSO).

File prompts doesn't display any directory listings?

Hi all!
So, all of the sudden my MBP isn't displaying any files or folders in prompts where I am supposed to select or save files. For example if I want to attach a file to an email, the directory listing of my computer will just be empty. There is a progress circle spinning at the bottom of the prompt, like it is working on displying the contents, but it will never complete. Same thing if I want to save a file to my computer from the net or any other program, I have nowhere to put it and am forced to abort.
In Finder everything shows up and works as it should, and I can for example drag and drop an attachment from there to Gmail as a workaround.
No other weirdness going on with the computer, all seems to be normal. Have noticed that boot time is unusually long though. Anyone have any idea on what this could be and how to fix it?

I did that, and it reported some weird error on the disk that demanded a reboot into safe mode (or whatever that command+R thing is called). From there I could repair the disk and now it seems to be functioning as it should.

HDV Print to Video - Video Doesn't Display or Record on Camera

I am editing HDV 1080i60 on FCP 5.1.3 and when I try to Print to Video, the camera screen displays "HDV in" and "i.LINK" but remains blue and does not allow me to press the record button. However, with the same camera (HDR-HC1) and using Final Cut Express I am able to print to video (although this is annoying because it has to convert to Apple Intermediate Codec).
Has anyone else had a similar problem?

OK, I have discovered the problem, and it's a doozy.
Her HDV sequence was set for 1280 X 1080, HDV 1080 Compressor, rather than 1440 X 1080. We have no clue how that happened, but it did.
Here's what I had her do last night when she was creating it: She changed the Easy Setup to HDV 1080i60, then created a new sequence. Then she went to the original DVCPRO HD sequence and did a Command-C to copy, then back to the new HDV 1080i60 sequence and Command-V to paste.
This morning, after I discovered the 1280 problem, I did the exact same steps and the new sequence was 1440 X 1080 HDV. I called her and had her do the exact same thing again, and now that new sequence is 1440 X 1080 HDV.
She is now rendering and conforming. I had her make sure ALL of the render bars were checked in Sequence > Render All, and that she chose Both audio and video. This should do it.
Now, the really tough part. I've got to re-read the thread and choose only two Helpful posts. Why can't we have as many as we need??????

My new Ipad2 doesn't display any pictures during slideshow, although the music plays fine.

I recently received an ipad 2 as a birthday gift from my wife, just before we hopped across the Atlantic to Europe (we wanted to make sure it worked well). Now that we're here and I am fiddling with it more, I have found that when I play the slideshow feature either from the photos app or using the little flower icon on the lock screen, I cannot actually see any pictures. The selected music plays during the slideshow, but there are no images displayed.
How can I correct this problem? I'm a little concerned about our location, because if I have to return it for warranty, I'm going to be challenged due to my location. I'll be here for months, so I can't just wait until I go back...

Verified - all photos is checked. I tried a few other iterations without any positive results. In all cases, the screen fades to black and displays nothing.
Upon tapping the screen, I can see that it has progressed through several photos during the time the screen is dark. This is interesting...indicating that the program is running, but without a proper display.
This is an important feature for me.

ITunes U tab doesn't display any Collections.

I downloaded iTunes 9 and updated my iPhone 3GS to OS 3.1 yesterday and discovered a new "iTunes U" tab when I select my connected phone to control what gets synched (at least I don't recall seeing it before). I had previously downloaded several iTunes U courses that I would now like to add to my iPhone but nothing shows up under this tab. When selected, this tab has a box to display "iTunes U Collections:" and another box to display "Items:" which presumably shows the individual lectures you have downloaded under each collection. Despite my previous downloads, this tab is completely blank. Does anyone know how to "tag" iTunes U courses to make them display correctly in this tab?

Well, through some trial & error I discovered how to get previously downloaded iTunes U content to appear under the "iTunes U" Library section which then makes the content visible as Collections under the iTunes U tab for download to your iPod/iPhone. In iTunes locate the "Album" that your podcast course sessions appear under (probably under the Library -> Podcasts panel). Select the course you wish to change and select "File -> Get Info" (or command-I). Select the "Options" tab and then change the "Media Kind:" to "iTunes U". Click the "OK" button and iTunes will change ALL the episodes under that course to iTunes U content and move them to the Library -> iTunes U panel. Following this they should appear as Collections under the Devices->iTunes U tab. I don't know if it made any difference (because I did this first), but I initially selected File->Library->Organize Library… and then selected the "Upgrade to iTunes Media organization" option. Hope this helps someone else out there.

SQLServer connection in Connection Navigator doesn't display any tables ...

I connect to a SQLServer DB using the steps described in the help and I can query tables just fine, but when I click on the Tables or Views, I see nothing.
I can start up a SQL worksheet and get data from the database just fine.
I can also connect using the JDBC/ODBC driver and see the tables just fine.
My connection string looks like:
jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://credent.hsys.local:1433;databasename=echo_test
Is this a bug in 10.1.3 of JDev?

I'm using the SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 3 version 2.2.0040
. I haven't tried the 2005 beta.
I am setting up the connection using 'Third Party JDBC Driver'. If I change the connection information to use the JDBC-ODBC bridge instead of the SQL Server JDBC driver, I see the tables.
Here's the steps:
1) create a new connection using the connection wizard.
2) Name the connection Echo_test and choose Third party JDBC driver
3) put in the username and password
4) Create a new driver class for SQL server com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver
5) Use that connection and put in the URL jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://credent.hsys.local:1433;databasename=echo_test
6) Test the connection and finish.
7) go to the connection navigator Database node, and expand "Echo_test"
8) go to the dbo schema node and expand that.
9) go to the Tables node and try to expand that - no tables show (although there is a delay as if a query is being run).
10) try the same thing with the Views node - same results.
Next I changed the connection to use the JDBC-ODBC driver by changing the driver & connection:
1) Add a new driver class sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver
2) use that class and change the URL to jdbc:odbc:echo_test
3) Go back to the connection navigator and expand "Echo_test" (no schemas display).
4) change the filter to include the dbo schema
5) Now when I expand the dbo/Tables, I see all the tables.
