Newbie JDeveloper OC4J doesn't install

Followed instructions for installing OC4J. From the command prompt went to the correct directory, typed 'start java -jar
oc4j.jar -install and a window flashes by and I am never asked for an admin password?? Any ideas?

I have to change my regional settings to English then install it and change my setting back later.

Sigh... This forum software doesn't even support image posting.
The error is every easy to reproduce.
1. On Windows XP, goto "Control Panel" -> "Regional and Language Options" -> "Standards and format"; and change that to "Thai"
2. Invoke "jdevstudio11110install.exe"
3. Always click "Next" until the error dialog appear.

From my experience, this always have something to do with the Buddhist Era year system (AD + 543).

ITunes version 11.0.2.26 doesn't install

The latest update to iTunes doesn't install correctly. After the update ran, I received error -42404 and couldn't connect to my AppleTV. I followed the instructions and removed and reinstalled. Now I get an error that AVFoundationCF.dll cannot be found and iTunes won't startup.
I believe before this update I was running the 32 bit version of iTunes. Originally I could not get the 64 bit version to work, the 32 bit version worked fine. Now it seems to want to replace the 32 bit version with 64 bit version.
Any suggestions?

You can try to completely uninstall iTunes from your PC, remove your preferences (remember to backup your data) and then install the latest version: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
It should fix it but again, backup your content and settings first!

ITunes doesn't install on Windows 7 Home Premium

Hi everyone.
I have tried to install iTunes on my Windows but I just can't be sucessful. After the installation process, I get the message that the program was correctly installed, but then I don't have the program, it wasn't installed. I get no errors, iTunes just doesn't install, but says it was installed.
I have searched about this problem but didn't find anything like that.
Does someone have any idea? My Windows is 7, Home Premium.

I've downloaded the iTunes installation file and tried to install or repair 3 times but keep getting a message that a required component is not installed (-45075).
Just in case the component being referenced is not part of iTunes but is rather part of one of the other related programs, it might be worth trying a complete uninstall/reinstall of iTunes and related componentry, as per the following troubleshooting document:

The installer installs

Apple Software Update
Bonjour

But it doesn't install "Apple Mobile Device Support"
My OS is "Windows 8.1 64bit"
i have ESET Smart Security installed on my PC but when i want to install itunes i disable it .
i removed and installed itunes completely several times but it didn't help !

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it, which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if one component, such as Apple Mobile Device Support, won't install normally.

Are you sure it is a 4G iPod? Does it have a camera?

Windows Vista Ultimate doesn't install on Satellite M40

Windows Vista Ultimate doesn't install on this notebook. Vista hangs after installation and doesn't boot up. Does anybody know what the problem is?

As far as I know older units are not Vista supported. I believe it is not necessary to say why. Satellite M40 is older notebook model and definitely not Vista supported. Many newer WXP preinstalled notebooks are Vista supported but Toshiba has for each model designed new BIOS version and before installing Vista the BIOS update must be done at first.
I can imagine that new BIOS is needed for M40 too but as I said before this machine is not Vista supported. I am very interested if someone will report more about Vista on Satellite M40.

The backup and restore from the iCloud was a little unnerving since the restore erased all information from the iPod. The iCloud backup and restore took a long time, but worked. I was very grateful.
Trying again to backup to iTunes locally proved to be the same challenging problem. The same backup to corrupt file was the message. The status bar showing backup seemed to move faster to start, but then slowed to a creep toward the end before the error.
When trying to restore a backup in iTunes, the "Restore" button is grayed out since it is looking for a local copy. Any restore would need to be from the iCloud which already worked but isn't the final solution.
Your suggestions were good, I am just in the same boat. Any thoughts about doing the following?
1) creating a cloud backup
2) resetting the iPod to factory defaults
3) removing all traces of iTunes from my computer and
4) installing iTunes and setting up iPod from scratch.
This is the next thing on my list.

Java 1.4.2 SDK/Netbeans cobundler doesn't install Webstart?

According to the docs Webstart is standard for 1.4.x, but while the 1.4.2/NetBeans cobundle install creates a javaws subdirectory in j2sdk_nb, it doesn't install it - no Webstart launcher on the desktop and no auto-loading the launcher when a jnlp file download begins. Just as if webstart wasn't there. Any help how to get this working is appreciated or else I may have to install j2sdk/netbeans separately in order to get the webstart install working...

The sdk/netbeans bundle contains j2sdk with no public skd.
(actually it invokes the sdk installer silently, without enabling the install of a public jre.)
To fix this go into add/remove programs, click on the j2sdk1.4.2 and click on change.
then you can click on modify, and install the public jre.

I'm sorry you are having this problem installing Firefox for Android. Is it possible that you don't have enough available space for the app? It requires 15Mb of available space to install. If you can give me a bit more information about what happens when you try to install it, I can try to provide some more suggestions.

Usually, if your Mac tells you "no AirPort card installed", it's because of power not properly being supplied to the AirPort card. Sometimes this symptom is related to hardware issues.
Reset the SMC of your computer. There are different ways of resetting, depending on the Mac you are using.

I am trying to install Cisco ISE on a VMWare Paltform, and the installation goes OK for the ADE-OS (The Os is installed, but the ISE application doesn´t install.

Thank for your answers, the problem was that the ISO image on the Cisco software repository was corrupted. I finally did a md5 check, and downloaded the image 4 times.
The for images download matched the md5 checksums between themselves, but not the Cisco webpage. Finally a TAC engineer had to publish the image form me, and when downloaded from this link It matched the CCO md5 and it worked fine.

I made an abo for the CC, Student version, downloaded the CC Installer, but every time I double click it to install, ist just initializes, and as the bar is HALF full, the window disappears and nothing. It doesn't install or anything.
I tried re download, re tried to install, I tried a re start. No luck.
So what am I missing?
I can't install any desktop application without the creative cloud?

Never mind.
Found a way by trashing AAM Updater, the OOBE, AAM an ACC itself and so on, and cleaned it all with CC cleaner.
But this was a very complicated way for a non-IT person to do, especially when everywhere you can read "Just Download, Install an go!"
No plus points.
