Newer iPhone USB cables tear at the ends, unlike old style iPhone USB cable
Has anyone been seeing their iPhone USB cables tear at the ends after a year? This has been happening with the newer USB cable style, but not the older ones.

For the USB ends, the older style had a plastic cylindrical section covering the joint where the cable and USB head met. The same goes for the 30-pin connector end.
Oh yeah. Our household has torn a total of three already in precisely that way. In fact, the one I'm using as we speak to connect my iPhone 3G to my computer is actually shredded from both ends (though the USB end is worse; the other two were also only torn at the USB ends).
Sure one might attribute that to "user abuse" -- I don't know that any of us have been particularly
gentle with our respective iPod and iPhone cables -- but personally I've found that the new cables (as opposed to the old cable that came with my first iPod) break in exactly this way unusually easy, without any extra unkind handling. Surely such an essential part should be able to last ordinary use beyond the first year?

Can't see the formula as old style formula in 3.5
I am using Numbers 3.5 on my Mac OSX 10.10.1. When I type a formula,I would like it to look old scholl, not colored and opaque. Today I accidently hit something and the formula appeared exactly that way. Now I cannot duplicate that action. Example: COUNTA(A16:A24)-B4-B5. Where can I do that?

You can't do much with it except click "OK", but it does make it a bit easier to check. -
Any insight on how to achieve this will be very welcome.
There is not a built-in setting for opening new "unrelated" tabs anywhere except at the end of the tab bar.
Various add-on authors have tackled this request over the years. It's not really clear to me which of these extensions still work, but you might check the reviews and see what you think. (I haven't tried these myself)

How do I create a new row on tab out of the last column, last row?

I've seen a few topics on this but none that I think were really very good solutions.
Use Case:
On tab out of the last column in the last row, a new row should be added to the end of the table. Bonus points for setting the focus to the first <af:inputText> of the newly created row.
Complications:
1. I'm having a heck of a time trying to find a function that returns the column's displayed index. Sadly, <column binding>.getDisplayIndex() returns -1 unless the user has manually re-ordered the column.
2. Value Change Listeners only fire if there is a value change. Guess that means I need to do client/server listeners to check each and every <af:inputText> for a tab press?
3. I'm not even going to get into setting the focus. With all the templates, regions, etc. going on, it's dang near impossible.
Any ideas on how to attack this one?

You will need to use the Run Engine Installation Wizard found on the Tools menu. In addition you need to create a installation set for the operator interface.
Look at Chapter 16 Distrubuting TestStand ( chapter 17 for version 2).
Once you have created your installation, install is on your new system.
The serial number etc is part of the process model. When you run the entry point 'Test UUTs' the PreUUT callback is executed which asks the user for the serial number.

My ipod touch has a permanent image of the end of a USB cable with an arrow pointing to an icon of ITunes. I can't reset using the two button method, and ipod does not appear on itunes when I plug it into the computer - and nothing else happens either. - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

Try to force your phone into recovery mode. Disconnect it from the computer's USB cord. Turn it off if you can by holding the sleep/wake switch until you see the red slide to off. If you can't turn it off, please continue. Press and hold the home button while plugging it into the computer's USB cord. Continue holding the Home button while iPhone starts up. While starting up, you will see the Apple logo. I had my Iphone 3 ser 8412125D0EDG connected to my computer to use Itunes. It asked to update the phone software. I selected yes at the end it said udate failed. Now my phone only shoes the image of a USB cable with ITUNES above it when turned on. It wont restart to an operational mode. The ITUNES program will not recognize it when plugged into the USB port . my new iphone 4 is stuck with "USB connect to itunes". I put it in recovery mode last night. Itunes recognizes the phone and says it's in recovery mode, but when I do a restore, nothing changes.
it says "itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode. you must restore this iphone before it can be used with itunes." I click OK
then I click the restore button
Then the box says "Are you sure you want to restore the iphone to it's factory settings? all of your.....etc." I click Restore and Update
then it goes into software update
at the end of the software update it says "Itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode...."
All this time, the screen of the iphone stays on with USB to Itunes
I might add that while the phone was in it's first attempt at recovery mode, it was accidentally unplugged.

What a horrible way to treat customers. I was due for updates on my phones and thought I should maybe check some other prices but have been with Verizon for 20 yrs so ended up there. I got 2 new IPhones 5s and the wife couldn’t decide what she wanted so she stayed with old phone but this locked me into a new 2 yr contract . Within a wk one of the new iPhones started turning on and of like 10 –15 times a day. Wk 2 it turned off and would not turn on again . It was my sons who was in college at the time so we talked and he took it in to a Verizon store where he was told I need to come in since the account was in my name. He was away from home , Verizon could see on account it was his phone they said it was not abused, they could not even turn it on , they sold me the phone give him another phone maybe even a loaner till he gets another. So now I need to go to store and explain to 3 different people this is my phone and my son has it and I need a new one. what a waste of time after about 2 hrs and talking to different people and yes they said there were notes on his account from other person he had talked to from different store. So I finally walk out with a receipt in hand and being told I would have a new phone in a couple days. As I sat in my vehicle thinking this is stupid I looked at my receipt and noticed it said droid on it so back into Verizon I went. The salesman said that’s what your son has on his account. My son had activated a friends old phone so he has one since VERIZON REFUSED to give him one. Another hr 3 people and yes they can see he had a new iPhone and notes on it from other store. Sometimes sorry just doesn't do it. I was now late for a appointment . Now I walk out and have been told I will get a new iPhone in the mail in about 2 wk Yes 2 wks again I bought it there just give me a new one and you send old one back. I will also get a new droid that I have to send back because they said they cant cancel it . In about 3 days I get the Droid and sent it back Verizon mistake and a waste of my time . After waiting over 2 wks and not receiving a new iPhone back to Verizon I went . I am now bitter at Verizon after doing 20 yrs of business with them. 3 people 1 hr later I was told it got delivered to my post office . I got the tracking num called the post office and they say o yes that was the droid. Go back in to Verizon another hr of explaining I walk out being told I will get a new iPhone in a couple of days, We’ll see . Once again I got the phone in your store just give me a new one . Do you realize how much of my time you have wasted ? do you care? O what is Your Policy ? How many Billion did you make last year ? I am Locked into a new 2 yr contract . Why don’t you just release me ? After 20 yrs do you think I will ever renew my contract ?
Simple process. If an iPhone go to the Apple Store and not Verizon
the phone from Verizon will be a refurbished device and not new unless under the 14 day worry free guarantee

I have changed the email signature on my iPhone, when composing a new email the signature is there, however when I am replying to an email it is not, how can I make sure that the signature is at the end of every email I send?
Yes I know what you mean about it cluttering the thread and for personal emails it is better without the signature. However this relates to sending business emails from an iPhone so I need the signature present on every email.
I can't find anything in Settings so I was hoping someone may have some knowledge/information/experience regarding this problem.
