No audio when playing YOUTUBE videos on ipod touch via a docking station

Hi there, when my ipod touch is docked on its docking station, it will not play audio on youtube videos, it will play the video but not the audio through the docking station speaker. It used to play audio without problems before, but recently it has stopped. When i take the ipod touch off the docking station the audio on the youtube video returns. any ideas why this has happened? it plays the youtube audio through the head phones too, i can play all other audio through the docking station speakers with out a problem.

There are no setting to change on the iPod.
Have you updated either the firmware on the car or on the iPod since they last played in the car?
This may work:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

When playing video in default size it's OK (windows and Linux), but when setting video in full screen, on Linux there's troubles: video is hashed (freeze every 3 seconds).
CPU : AMD APU Athlon 5350.

Hi s, well congrats on getting your brother's computer up and running. On your system, you have all correct Flash Player
files for IE and FF, as well as the SWO and SWF.
Since the Install of Flash Player, have you installed any programs that would have added any ActiveX Controls, or any other add ons or plug-ins?
Have you had an opportunity to see if your brother's computer has the issue you have when watching the same websites?
Are you using any ad-block in FF(Firefox) or any pop up blocker software installed? I can't imagine updating to FP version 10 alone would cause this.
Is this happening only on the BBC website? Does what you watch come thru the BBC website or youtube directly?
We have your brother's computer to use to determine what is going on. If he is able to see the BBC website and what you
are having problems with, then we can rule out the website.
Other browser add ons, anti-virus programs, etc. affect the browser. Even tho, no problem with vs 9. Sometimes updates
can have an affect, even with Windows as we all know:-)

Do the games require an internet connection? If so then maybe slow connection.

No sound when playing youtube videos

I have run the troublshoot and checked for upgrades for my sound driver and I still have no sound when playing a youtube video.
I can listen to radio over the internet fine.
My laptop started doing this about 2 months ago when I was trying to finish my finals for class.
Running windows 8. computer only a year old.

Why does the volume spike when playing youtube videos? Even after i turned it down right before hand

Okay so this is becoming highly annoying and extremely worrisome since I value my ears more than any other sense. I keep having this issue where i plug headphones in, turn the volume down to half way or lower, put headphones on, then go to start a youtube video to listen to a song, and then as soon as the video starts BOOM the volume goes up to full blast. on several occasions now i am worried i have been close to hurting my ears, I am really starting to loose my mind over this. WHAT IS GOING ON? I try to remember to keep the headphones out of my ears before playing the video, but there are too many times where i forget, or had switched to sommething else and then go back just to be blasted by volume. Jesus Christ apple you are going to wreck peoples ears.

If you are concerned about the volume going to high when watching and listening to videos, you can change the volume limit to not go that high. Go to Settings > Music > Volume Limit and set it to the desirable volume. If you are using the YouTube app from the App Store, try out the troubleshooting steps in the second article to troubleshoot the issue further.

How do I hide the dot on time bar when playing music on an iPod touch 5g like its hidden on an iPhone 4S?

I've been stumped after updating and syncing both iPhone 4S and iPod touch 5G in regards to hiding the time bar counter when music is playing. On the iPhone 4S it's easy by tapping once the album artwork. However the iPod touch 5g is a problem child. I tried tapping once. Nothing happened. Double tap and the album flipped over. I even researched online on how to do it but couldn't find anything. Can the time counter be hidden on iPod touch 5g like it can on an iPhone 4S? Any advice, tips, info is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

When trying to connect my iPod Classic to a docking station/fm transmitter/head phones it does not work. How come?

When I go to connect my iPod to a docking station or my fm transmittor it shows that the song is playing but will not work. The only time it has worked was when it was conencted to an original ipod cord. My FM transmittor will play any other ipod but my own. I was wondering what I could do to fix this or what I should do.

Depending if you have apple care then you should be able to replace it. Or, it could be the cord that you are plugging it in with/ docking station. It ma not work also.

When I used to play music, the song display showed the album art, the length of the song and how much time was left, it also had a repeat and shuffle option at the bottom of the screen A couple of days ago, these things disappeared. Any thoughts??

when the song is playing/on the music player tap the album cover or the middle of the screen and these things should pop up for you. If that doesn't work then i dont know.

When playing YouTube in background the phone stays on and does not auto lock and if it is auto locked and you receive a text it will stay on / lit even in the lock screen

Mine and my wifes iphon 5s is having way too many problems for today's technology, when using iTunes music app from the lock screen if you press pause from the lock screen it stays the same not like before when you paused the music the play buttons would disappear but now they just stay there, and when playing YouTube videos in the background from safari and the phone is in lock screen and you receive a text the screen will stay lit until you turn it off yourself and also the same thing happens in the home screen if your playing YouTube from safari in the background the phone won't auto dim of auto lock after any amount of time it will stay on forever these problems need to be fixed, also the wifi is not working like it used to and the LTE and 3G data are slow, slower then the 3GS when ios 6 came out. Any number of things could have caused the phone to do this. If after the reset you are experiencing additional problems, the next step in the troubleshooting process is a restore from a backup. Make sure you have one before you start the restore process. If that does not improve things, then you may have to restore as a new device. Remember, restoring as a new device will delete all data off the phone. Make sure all of your pictures are imported to the computer and all other data is synced to supported applications on the computer before restoring as new. When playing any videos(E.g youtube) at mozilla firefox there will be a buzzer sound like "zzz"or cracking the sound is not smooth which seems like lag issue.

ITunes 7.6 No Audio When Playing a Music Video or Movie

I just installed iTunes 7.6.0.29 (It was released today).
There is no audio when playing a music video or a movie that I've purchased. Movie trailers and music videos in the iTunes store have no audio either. Videos from iTunes University that I've downloaded (such as an MIT lecture) play fine w/ audio.
Music audio (such as tracks I've purchased or tracks on the iTunes store) play fine.
QuickTime videos, such as a QT video on my desktop play fine. Windows Media Player works fine too.
So, why don't music videos and movies play (w/audio) on iTunes 7.6??

I'm experiencing what appears to be the exact same issue. I just installed iTunes 7.6.
Video but no audio:
Purchased iTunes TV episodes
Streamed video trailers in the iTunes Store
Works fine:
All music files, including protected files purchased through iTunes
The standalone Quicktime player performs normally with MOV files. Windows Media Player still performs normally.
I found an old support doc complaining of a similar issue with a previous iTunes release and tried the suggested fix: Uninstalling Quicktime and reinstalling it using the standalone installer (Quicktime 7.4). I also reinstalled iTunes. Neither solved the issue.
I'm very disappointed that I can no longer access the files I've purchased. I hope this is fixed very soon.

This is because the html5 player will load the video by default. I have noticed lately that some channels required flash player. Do you have an example video by chance for further investigation?

YouTube is not down on my iPad. You may want to try a soft reset of your device. Hold the "lock" and "home" buttons at the same time until the screen changes to the Apple logo. If that doesn't work, it can either be a problem with your internet connection. Make sure you can connect to everything else, and then call Apple support.
