No audio when scrolling manually

Hi. audio is on when I play clips at normal speed, in both canvas and viewer, but off when I scroll manually in canvas and viewer or play clips/sequences at reduced or increased speed (e.g. when using the 'l' and 'j' functions).
This never happened before. I must have changed a setting by mistake. Anyone know how to fix?

  • Premiere Pro CC Crashing when Scrolling Through Sequence in Timeline - Audio Waveform Goes Blank First

    The description is in the title: Premiere Pro CC Crashing when Scrolling Through Sequence in Timeline - Audio Waveform Goes Blank First.
    Just started today, won't stop crashing now after a minute or two, and always does it when I scroll through the timeline of a sequence.  The audio waveform goes blank first.
    What is going on?

  • Audio drops out when scrolling playlists after upgrading new version of 9.2

    Hi Folks,
    Has anyone noticed an issue when scrolling the playlists in Itunes now that the audio drops out for a second.
    I use an external USB audio device by Native Instruments called the Audio Kontrol 1.
    I have watched the processes on my PC and when I scroll up and down on the playlist. Something spikes causing audio to not play for a second.
    I am hoping to fix this somehow as I do not want to roll back (not even sure if you can). I also have heard with dual core processors that occasionally audio can get stopped as other processes take over where in single core processors everything cued up (any truth to that).
    Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you so much X & Paul, for your suggestions. Although they didn't solve the problem, they kept me hopeful enough to continue my quest for an answer. After exhausting all effort to find the problem in the audio, I decided to focus on the video. So, I tried correcting the excess luma on the consolidated QT movie, and suddenly the problem was fixed. Because of the different levels of correction I'd need for each and every cut in the original sequence, and the precious time it would take, I'd planned to save it for the color correction stage, a mere 2 weeks away. I remembered how illegal white would often cause the image on some monitors, specifically consumer TVs, to waver for a second. But this was happening all the way back to the DV deck's audio meter, so I never expected it to be a luma issue.
    I assume that the outdating capacity of my G4 played a part, but I wanted to write back with my thanks, and to impart my illuminated wisdom to the next perplexed soul.
    Thanks again,
    jesterhead

  • Audio Gone When Scrolling Timeline?

  • Firefox 37 Beta on Windows 8.1 has lag and stuttering when scrolling

    I just recently got a new laptop, and since the minute I've installed firefox on it there has been lag when scrolling webpages. It seems to start off not too badly, with there being some stuttering when I first open firefox, however it seems like the longer I'm browsing the worse it gets, to the point where sometimes I'll start scrolling and then a second later firefox will just jump to the bottom of the page. Internet Explorer and Chrome both have perfectly smooth scrolling.
    I've tried numerous things to fix it already, this is some of the stuff I can remember trying:
    -Turning off hardware acceleration and smooth scrolling
    -Starting in safe mode
    -Complete reinstall with new profile
    -Updating graphics card and intel drivers
    Specs of the new laptop:
    Core i7
    GTX 970M
    16Gb RAM

    When I was trying different versions of Firefox to see if they all had the scrolling problem, I made sure to try 36, 38, and even 31.5 ESL portable. They all have the scrolling problem when my laptop is unplugged. However, when I tried Tor just to see what would happen - bingo! Perfectly smooth scrolling once more. This is especially weird as Tor uses 31.5.3 ESL as a base...
    This made me think that it could potentially be a plugin, as Tor doesn't have any plugins installed other than Flash. However, after first disabling, then manually removing, every plugin that was listed in about:plugins the problem continues to persist.
    Any idea why Tor would work flawlessly while every other version of firefox suffers the scrolling issue? I couldn't seem to remove the OpenH264 Video Codec provided by Cisco Systems, plugin. Is it possible to remove it in order to see if it is causing the problem?

  • Hero slideshow on homepage is un-pinned, yet doesn't move vertically w other content when scrolling

    I've created a hero slideshow on the homepage. It is "unpinned", however it doesn't move vertically with the rest of the content when scrolling up/down. It stays in its same spot and the other page content scrolls correctly.

    Hi Aish!
    Sadly, it is showing as unpinned in my file and I re-published the file and the carousel is still stuck. I've attached a screen capture showing the webpage (left, scrolled) and the muse file (right).
    I'm sure this is something I'm doing wrong, do you have any other ideas?
    Thanks so much for your help. Do you work for Adobe? If you do, I have other Muse questions I cannot find the answer to online. If you don't work for Adobe and are just a Good Samaritan/Angel, do you know of any manuals/reference books that might help me? I've worked in psd, ai, indd for many years. But attempting the web side of design is killing me, and I'm likely to lose my client if I can't get his site together soon. Thanks again!

  • TS3899 I just switched to Iphone 5c from Blackberry...is there a way to jump from the 1st email listed to the bottom of the list (sometimes 300-400) without scrolling manually thru them all?  Also is there a way to organize them by sender?

    I just switched to Iphone 5c from Blackberry...is there a way to jump from the 1st email listed to the bottom of the list (sometimes 300-400) without scrolling manually thru them all?  Also is there a way to organize them by sender?

    Well, I think I know why the rules are not working. The alias mailbox is being listed as another mail folder  and not as an actual inbox so the rules are not being applied. While I wish the rules would work, I will continue to manually mark some of the emails as spam.
    As for the second issue with emails vanishing, I am waiting to see if it happens again. I think it must happen when it is syncing the data but I am not sure that it happens all the time. Today the previous emails seem to be their and it grabbed the new email so I don't know what happened with the vanishing email. Anyway this can be closed since I believe the main issue has been solved as being a setup issue with Yahoo alias email account.

  • Creative MuVo TX FM - powers down when scrolling (how to f

    I recently purchased a 28Mb Creative MuVo TX FM and thought I might share my experience with other members of this forum.
    Not being experienced with MP3 players I duly followed the instructions and copied some wma files from my XP PC onto the MP3 player via USB / Windows Explorer, preset the FM stations and I was away. Oh the joy of having it work first time!
    However, whenever I fast forwarded 3 songs or rewound about 4 songs using the scroller, the unit would instantly power down without warning. I thought it was a damaged file (or two) so deleted what I thought were the damaged songs ..... without success. The battery was brand new and the indicator on the LCD showed a full charge but I changed it anyway, without success. Oh the agony of new technology!
    So I pulled out the CD, read the manual, found the creative website, found this forum and then ..... nothing! I did a search on the forum and found one other person who had similar problems (there may be more but maybe it was my search words) but I couldn't find a suitable answer. There is nothing in the Creative Knowledge Base and insofar as I can see, no relevant FAQ's.
    Back on the Creative webpage I found a firmware upgrade here and after downloading and installing the firmware upgrade (and a reformat courtesy of the upgrade) and reloading the songs, hey presto! Problem solved!
    So thanks to Creative for the support and if you are experiencing the same problem (auto shut down when scrolling), try downloading and installing the firmware upgrade per the link above.
    Andrew.

    Interesting...
    I'm glad you were able to solve your problem. I received my MuVo TX FM 52MB with firmware .2.04 and upgraded it to .3.03, but fortunately never had your problem.
    Do you know which version you used while experiencing the shutdown-problem?
    Not that it is important to me, I'm just curious.

  • Video loses audio when using transitions

    On my band's website, I frequently post videos of us rehearsing or playing at a show. Before I upload the videos, I bring them into iMovie, add a simple fade in and fade out to the beginning and end, and then save them compressed so that they download faster. I've never had a problem with this before.
    Today, I tried to work on some new clips. For some reason, the fade ins and fade outs are fading the video correctly, but not the audio. Instead, the audio simply drops out during the length of the transition; it then jumps back in at 100% when the transition is complete.
    I turned on "show clip volume levels" in the timeline and the volume on the transition is shown to be fading in gradually, starting at 0% and ending at 100% right before the main clip. That's correct, and that's how it's always looked in the past, except now when I play it back, the actual volume stays at 0% during the transition.
    I've tried everything I could think of to fix this, with no luck. I tried importing the video separately instead of pulling it out of my iPhoto library, changing the length of the transition, using a different video file, using different transitions, etc. Nothing works. Furthermore, the problem sticks when I export the video to QuickTime, so it's not an issue just with previewing the video in iMovie. It's also persisted even after quitting and relaunching iMovie, and rebooting the computer entirely.
    The only way I've been able to get around it is by selecting the video, extracting the audio, and then manually fading the audio in/out so that it matches the length of the video fade in/out. While this works, it's more work, takes more time, isn't as precise since I have to manually do it, and is totally unnecessary! The transitions are supposed to automatically apply to both the video AND its audio!
    Any ideas? Please help - I have a iMovie project due on Monday and I will need to use these effects!

    Hi daGUY:
    The only way I've been able to get around it is by selecting the video, extracting the audio, and then manually fading the audio in/out so that it matches the length of the video fade in/out. While this works, it's more work, takes more time, isn't as precise since I have to manually do it, and is totally unnecessary! The transitions are supposed to automatically apply to both the video AND its audio!
    That's the right thing to do in this case (as you found out). But, it may be that this is a one time problem and the next video will work fine...

  • Scrollpane scrolling manually to component

    Sorry that I am spamming another post that is not a question, but again I was fighting with Swing over something quite poorly documented and I must share my victory for future people that may struggle with the same (and use the forum search).
    Situation: a scrolling panel which manually handles scrollwheel scrolling. This will select one of the many JLabels holding icons in the panel, giving them a colored border when the active one.
    Requirement: when a label is selected that is out of view, the scrollpane should scroll to make that label visible.
    Now after examining the javadocs I realized that scrollRectToVisible() is the solution. This method requires a Rectangle of the position to scroll to, which you can easily get by calling getBounds() on the component (label in my example) that must be visible. So what I did was:
    - call scrollToVisibleRect() on the JScrollPane. This does not work, to my surprise
    - call scrollToVisibleRect() on the viewport. This works partially, the scrollpane scrolls down, but it will never scroll up
    - I also tried validate() here and there just to know for certain I am not crazy
    And finally after some more hair pulling and a google quest I stumbled upon the answer; you need to call scrollRectToVisible() on the component that you wrap the scrollpane around, not the scrollpane itself! So if you have something like:
    JPanel mypanel = new JPanel();
    JScrollPane sp = new JScrollPane(mypanel);You need to call mypanel.scrollRectToVisible() to make the scroll work!
    Source of the solution:
    http://www.esus.com/docs/GetQuestionPage.jsp?uid=989

    Its kind of dumb how they have when that broadcasts when
    scrolling is going on but not one directly when its stops.
    Thanks for your help.
    Heres what i used:
    _root.onMouseUp = function () {
    if (_xmouse>=0 && _xmouse<=555 &&
    _ymouse>537 && _ymouse<558) {
    trace('stop that');
    }

  • Crash when scrolling the timeline

    this happens every single time:
    if I zoom on the timeline, then I scroll to the right (to reveal next edits), Premiere crashes. if I zoom to the left it doesn't crash.
    sometimes it says "sorry Premiere has to shut down we'll try to save the project", while other times it simply crashes and the default Apple crash report appears.
    this happens on CC 2014.1 and latest 2014.2 and it's very frustrating because I have to use workarounds in order to move through the timeline.
    I'm on OS X 10.9.5, on a new Mac Pro with 2x D700 GPUs, 3.5GHz 6 core CPU and 32GB ram.
    any idea on what's causing this problem and how to solve it?
    thanks!

  • Garbled audio when exporting movies using iMove 09

    Hello,
    Whenever I try to export my Movie using iMovie 09, certain scenes have garbled audio.
    The scene play properly within iMovie 09.
    It also has the same garbled audio when I try to share it to iDVD.
    Any suggestions?

    There is a well known audio glitch in iMovie '09. If making speed changes to your project, such as slow or fast motion, you must use only the presets shown on the speed slider. These are: 12.5%, 25%, 50%, 100%, 200%, 400% and 800%. Do not use custom speeds, by manually entering your own percentages.
    If you don't use the presets, you are highly likely to see audio problems in the exported project. As you have noted, the glitch appears only in the export but is not evident in preview (within iMovie).
    The only fix (other than going through a convoluted process) is to adjust all custom speed changes to the presets. This is a nuisance, of course, as you may have to resync the video and audio where you have added voiceovers or music tracks.

  • URGENT No audio when logging

    I know there is a setting somewhere so I can hear audio when logging from my camera, but I can't find it! I have spent hours in the manual, online, searching help files and nothing!! Please help. I really need this info by tomorrow morning. I know there is some setting to click to allow me to hear my audio while logging.

    I found the answer in another forum. Here is a link to the answer: http://www.geniusdv.com/weblog/archives/finalcut_pro_audio_videosettings.php
    If you are using Final Cut Pro 4.5, there is a switch you need to turn on in order to hear audio in Final Cut Pro within the Capture Preset Editor. (This has since been fixed in Final Cut Pro 5.0 or higher).
    Click on the link and follow the tutorial. Look for the the heading 'Turning on External Speaker while Capturing' It will show you how to adjust the capture preset editor.
