No calendar synchronization between iOS 6.1.3 and Mac OS 10.9

Dear all,
I am using an iPhone 3gs with the latest supported iOS 6.1.3. On the other sise I use an iMac with OS 10.9.(Mavericks)
I want to synchronize my calendar details between these two devices. I have configured my iCloud Account and my calendars are visible when I log in by using a web browser. I have also checked the Storage & Backup Settings on the iPhone and there obviously storage at the iCloud in use because I can see that there are less than 5GB avaliable.
But the new calendar entries are not available on the iPhone.

Well, I have checked the iCloud settings on the phone. As I have mentioned above the are obviously storage at the iCloud in use because I can see that there are less than 5GB avaliable. But I can not see the new calendar entries on the phone.

  • How to sync calendars and contacts between ios 3.1.3 and Mountain Lion?

I have a 1st generation iPod touch under iOS 3.1.3 and a MacBook Pro under Mountain Lion 10.8.3 with iTunes 11.0.1.
Since the upgrade to Mountain Lion syncing calendars and contacts between the iPod Touch and the Mac no longer works.
I don't want my personal information in Apple's or anybody else's Cloud and anyway iOS 3.1.3 can't use Apple's Cloud.
So I can no longer sync without a) replacing my iPod Touch which itself works perfectly well and does not need replacing and b) using Apple's Cloud which I do not wish to use for personal data.
This is a MAJOR AND DAMAGING step backwards by Apple, which they should correct IMMEDIATELY if they wish to keep their increasingly fed-up older customers.
    Time-wasting work-around:
As I never trust operating system upgrades to not destroy something that "just works", I have Snow Leopard still on another bootable partition on my machine, and Lion on a bootable partition on an external Thunderbolt disc.
In order to sync, I backup Calendars and Contacts under Mountain Lion under which I do all my normal work, switch to either Snow Leopard or Lion, update iCal and Address Book from the backup files saved under Mountain Lion, sync the iPod Touch, and switch back to Mountain Lion.
Lots of time wasted with 2 successive re-boots, but at least HERE IS A SOLUTION THAT WORKS - I have seen lots of posts protesting bitterly about this totally unacceptable backwards step - what on earth do Apple hope to gain from this? More sales of newer equipment to replace perfectly functioning older ones? Certainly not from many of us.

Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

  • Home Sharing between iOS 4.3.1 and OSX 10.4.11

I can't get home sharing to work between my iPad1 running iOS 4.3.1 and my iMac
running OS X 10.4.11 and using iTunes 9.2. Home sharing is set up on my iMac and I can run Remote from my iPad. I've entered my Apple ID info in the iPod portion of Settings on the
iPad. But when I go to the iPod app on my iPad, when I tap on "Library" nothing
happens. I don't see my iMac iTunes library come up under "Shared Libraries".
As a matter of fact nothing at all happens or comes up when I tap on "Library".
Does Home Sharing work with iTunes 9? Do you need iTunes 10? And can you only
get iTunes 10 with OSX 10.5?

Wanted to add my .02 experience.
New iPad 2, iOs 4.3.1 (got it and did that yesterday).
One mac running 10.6.5, iTunes 10.2.1 - home share, and iPad2 Remote - works fine.  Remote sees that home share immediately and it is working well.
One mac running 10.5.7, iTunes 10.2.2.... Remote cannot handle it.  Not only do I not see the home share "share" on the iPad, but when I try do do the manual route of 'Add a Library', the errors are bizarre!  It starts by taking a loooong time to spin and shows simply "Looking for" as the message on the iPad.  Then it fails, and says "Not found".  That's it!  I don't think it is the router, as the 10.5 mac is on the same subnet though it is not wireless.  I checked firewall stuff - it's not on.  And since it works perfectly on the 10.6 mac, I know home sharing and the way I set things up works.
Stumped on this.  Since I don't know if there are any logs to see on the iPad, I have no idea how to approach this one.  But it clearly does not work with 10.5, at least for me.

  • Syncing Messages between iPhone 5(iOS 6.0.1) and Mac (OS X 10.8.2)

I am using imessage/messages on my iPhone 5, iMac, and Macbook Pro. I have the latest OS installed on each, email address set on each, and it syncs between all 3 devices as far as sending and receiving messages, but when I delete messages, I have to do it individually on all 3 devices. Is there any way to get my messages deleted an all 3 devices at once, in other words, sync the deleting funtion?

Not that I'm aware of. I've always manually deleted message from each device.

  • Any synchronization between Nokia Music on WP and ...

I hope this is not a duplicate question, but was not able to find any similar questions.
I have a Lumia 710 and decided to try the Music+ trial on the phone. I have also downloaded the Nokia Music app on my Windows 8 installation on my laptop.
I am able to log into my Nokia account in the Windows 8 app and the app appears to work just as if I had a Nokia Music+ subscription, i.e. it is not in trial mode. However, it does not seem that there is any sharing of mixes between the phone app and the Windows 8 app.
Is this how it is supposed to work?
Also, I understand that the Windows8 app can't be used on more than one device at a time. But, if I get a Windows 8 tablet for traveling, will all my Windows 8 mixes be available on the tablet while the other computer is not in use?
    Thanks.

You will need to download your offline mixes again on your Win8 computer, but you should have access to the same curated mixes on both devices.
You can use your Nokia Music account on more than one Windows 8 device (i.e. laptop, desktop, tablet) but you can only be active on any one at the same time. If you log in on your tablet, you will be logged out of your session on your laptop for example.
    Hope that helps!

  • File Sharing between Snow Leopard MacBook Pro and Mac OS 8.6 Powerbook 1400

well ok, for some this might sound ridicule. Why should I still be using a 13 year old PowerBook. Let me tell you, this is writing/typing heaven, Zen-like; no distractions at all, no twitter, no internet (although possible), no emails just pure you and your text and if you spin down the HDD, absolute silence. as said before pure Zen writing heaven. and on top of that you're typing on the best keyboard ever on a laptop.
As you might see I love my vintage masterpiece of a laptop and use it on a regular basis. Just one Problem.
Since I Installed Snow Leopard on my MacBook Pro 17" I just haven't been able to establish a connection between the two machines.
I have to admit, I'm not that versed with OS 8.6 but with 10.5 I had absolutely no problems accessing the shared folders on my MacBook Pro and vice versa.
My first thought was to activate Appletalk on the ethernet on my Macbook, which I failed to find anywhere. The Apple Discussions Forums revealed that Appletalk has been dropped with the introduction of Snow Leopard but all the entries where regarding printing issues with shared printers, I didn't find anything about actual file sharing and thus did not get any clues how to share files between my two machines.
My PowerBook 1400cs/166 runs on 8.6 and I use a Global Village Platinum PCMCIA card (modem and Ethernet combi card). this setup worked perfectly with 10.5 but I have not been able to make establish a connection since running 10.6 on my MBP.
I am really desperate since I heavily depend on being able to exchange files between those two machines through an ethernet connection.
So I kindly ask anyone who might be able to help me to please consider posting any solutions or at least ideas which could help me with my problem. I really would greatly appreciate any effort whatsoever.
Thank you very much for your time.
    EDIT:
What I forgot to mention: strangely enough, when I enable Internet Sharing on my MacBook Pro (through Airport) to Ethernet, my PowerBook 1400 can connect to the internet without any problems.
    Message was edited by: Apolloss

First of all let me thank you very much. It actually works (partially).
There seems to be a problem though. While I can connect perfectly from my MBP 10.6 to my PowerBook 1400, the other way round doesn't work.
My MBP does not show up in the Network browser of OS 8.6 but I could life with that.
The problem is that if I try to connect to my MBP from my PB1400 by entering the IP directly a alert message appears reading that the "User Authentication Method required by this server can't be found, please check the AppleShare folder in the Extensions folder and try again".
Do you have any clues what I'm doing wrong or where the problem may lie?
    PS.
Even if you may not be able to further help me with this problem, I ow you a great deal of gratitude and am very thankful for your help so far. At least I can exchange files between the two machines and that's what I needed in the first place.

  • File sharing between PC XP SP 2 and Mac OS X 10.4.2

I would like to share file between my two Macs and a windows PC via AirPort. I can access from the PC to the Mac but not vice versa. I followed the instructions at www.efelix.co.uk/tech/3001.html but every time I try to get access to the PC with "connect to server" the system shows me error code -35.
    Any solutions?
    Thanks in advance!

My home network is similar, but I can't figure out what to do next in order to transfer files between the Macs and the PC.
I've disabled firewall (Windows) and internet security (TrendMicro), and confirmed IP and Submask Numbers. Still no success.
Here's more details of what I have:
AirPort Extreme Base Station connected to DSL modem.
eMac and three iBooks, connected wirelessly to ABS.
Filesharing is on for these Macintosh computers.
-This works fine for transferring files and for internet access.-
    Just bought eMachines T6520 running Windows XP Home;
connected via ethernet cable to ABS.
-This PC works fine for internet access.-
WHAT IS THE KEY TO GETTING THE Macs to see the PC, and the PC to see the Macs?

  • HT4199 Upgrading to iOS 6 on iPAD and MAC problems- Coincidence?

Uploaded iOS 6 on my ipad2. Next day, my MAC started having trouble accessing internet. Just a coincidence? Tried using the network assist & resetting the router. Any suggestions? My ipad and other laptops have no problems accessing the internet - just the MAC.

Hi - Sounds like a coincidence - as far as I know, wireless clients are passive and can't affect the settings of a router except with a setup utility - so it looks like a Mac issue - I would suggest re-wording the question and re-posting it on the Mac area of this forum - good luck

  • Sparks between external HD usb cable and Mac Pro case

    Hi all,
I just wanted to see if anyone could say how usual (or not) this was - basically I noticed that as I go to plugin a usb cable which is connected to a powered external HD, any contact between the cable connector and the metal case of the mac cause little sparks.
I haven't noticed this before, although it's possible I was just more precise with my plugging ability
I had a search but all I could find was reference to the laptops or an iMac.
    Thanks

It could be a problem with the power supply for the external HD. Does it have a three prong plug? If it's two-prong, try plugging it in the other way. It could be dangerous if it's a direct short from the lne input to the output in the HD power supply.

  • Conflict between Photoshop 7.0.1 and Mac OS 10.6?

I have just installed OS 10.6 on my Intel iMac.  I get the following message when I try to launch Photoshop 7.0.1: "An unexpected and unrecoverable problem has occurred because of a program error.  Photoshop will now exit", which it does.  I had no problems using PS with OS 10.4.  Help?

A forum search yielded this for example:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/1528779#1528779
So You could either stay with Mac OS 10.4 or buy the new Photoshop.

  • Synchronization between X2-00, E6-00, Microsoft Ou...

    Hello.
    1. Is it possible to synchronize Contacts, Calendar, Notes & Tasks entries between X2-00 and X6-00.
    2. If not, can we use Microsoft Outlook to synchronize between these three (laptop, x2 and e6).
    3. I am using the outlook with the same folders and it is not working well.
    4. Any application to lock keypad on E6-00 with a touch before the timer locks it.
    Any suggestions? Thanks. Arvinder.

Firstly, You sadly won't be able to synchronise the phones via bluetooth which has worked great for me between nokia to nokia upgrades and is usually the fastest, Mainly because one is a series 40 (X2) and the other is a series ^3 (E6).
Your best bet is to install nokia pc suite and use it to back-up everything you need from the X2, Then connect your E6 and transfer everything back to the E6.
I've used this procedure when bluetooth hasn't been an option, But it can't guarantee it will be able to transfer everything.
