No Camera Found message when connecting iPhone

Hello, I am experiencing an annoyance where I plug in the iPhone to my imac and I get a message that reads "No camera found. I have Canon Software installed for my camera. Anyone experiencing the same problems or have a solution. Many thanks.

Your response is 100% irrelevant to my message. I'm connecting the iPhone to my computer via USB. Both iPhoto and Image Capture see the phone as a potential camera device from which it should be able to import photos, but it finds no items to import, even though there are three photos on the camera. I'm not using bluetooth in any way. It's turned off.

  • "No camera found" message when I connect iphone to Macpro?

When I connect my iphone 4 to the Macpro it gives me a warning message:
    no camera found.
Is this an iphoto thing? (i never use iphoto)
    Where do change this pref?
I don't want to see this every time I connect.

This worked perfectly for my system as well.
The message "No camera found" started when I installed a Canon application called ImageBrowser.
    Thanks.

  • "No Camera Found" Message when iTunes Loads

I have a new iPhone 3Gs and when I connect to my Macbook and iTunes loads, this message always pops up. "No Camera Found" When I load iPhoto, however, the images on the phone appear and can be imported with no problem. Doesn't present a problem, but am curious what is going on.

I had the same issue. Try opening Image Capture in Applications, go to preferences and then change the program that opens when a camera is connected to no application.

  • Error message when connecting iphone

Every time I connect my iphone to my computer, a message comes up in itunes saying that it cannot read the content of my iphone and that I should restore it to factory settings. This didn;t used to happen...only within the last few months. I also just bought a new Macbook and the same message comes up when I try connecting it to that computer as well. The first time this occurred I clicked restore and noticed it deleted all my music, so i stopped it before it could delete everything else. Is the only way to resolve this to restore it to factory settings, and if so will all my applications and contacts be erased?

All data on your phone will be erased, and no, there is no way around this fact other than restore your phone as a new device. This shouldn't present a big problem, as all of your content should be in your iTunes library or in supported applications on your computer. If for some reason it's not, you've got problems. You'll have to use third-party software to extract this data from your phone first. But, there's no guarantee this will work if iTunes can't read the content of your phone:

When connecting iphone to my computer iphotos always loads on top. how do I stop iphotos from loading

When there are photos in your iPhone's Camera Roll, your iPhone is also detected as a digital camera when connected to your computer. Although photos in your iPhone's Camera Roll are included with your iPhone's backup, which is updated by iTunes as the first step during the iTunes sync process, photos in your iPhone's Camera Roll should be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera. Not a good idea to depend on your iPhone's backup alone for these photos, and deleting the photos from the Camera Roll after the import process is complete will improve your iPhone's backup time. If you want any of the imported photos available on your iPhone for viewing, you can add the photos to an existing iPhoto album already selected to be transferred to your iPhone followed by a sync, or create a new iPhone album for the recently imported photos, select the new iPhoto album under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences followed by a sync.

  • How do I solve the no camera found message?

Since upgrading to 10.7.3 (OSX) my Canon camera is no longer recognized. "No Camera Found" message appears. This appears when I plug in a flash drive as well.

I solved the issue by following this threadj, basicly, the "image capture" in applications creates conflicts:

Error message when connecting to iTunes says my new iPad 4 can't be connected as it requires version 10.7 or later. Surely a new iPad already has the latest version, and if it doesn't how do I get it?

Not the iPad - your computer must be running iTunes 10.7 in order to sync. It has nothing to do with iTunes on the iPad.
You can download iTunes for your computer here.

Regarding uninstalling, this is from the FAQ on the MacFuse site (http://code.google.com/p/macfuse/wiki/FAQ):
    Q 2.3. How can I uninstall MacFUSE?
A: Launch the Mac OS X System Preferences application and go to the MacFUSE preference pane. Click on the "Remove MacFUSE" button. This will uninstall all MacFUSE components except the preference pane itself.
You can keep the MacFUSE preference pane around should you decide to install MacFUSE again in the future. If you do wish to remove it, you do it just like how you would remove any other non-Apple preference pane: In System Preferences, control-click (right-click) on the MacFUSE icon and you will see "Remove ..." as an action.
Only if you had the "Show Beta Versions" button checked in the MacFUSE prefpane, you'll have a property list (plist) file remaining at this point:/Library/Preferences/com.google.macfuse.plist. To remove it, you should uncheck the button before you remove the prefpane as described above.
Note that an official (correct) MacFUSE installation will have a preference pane if you have MacFUSE 2.0 or later installed. If you have an older version of MacFUSE, you can uninstall as follows.
The other thing you can do if you're having problems is go into System Preferences and there should be an icon for MacFuse.  By going into that there may be an option to disable it.  If so, do that first before attempting to uninstall and try mounting your drives again.

I went to that site, and cannot see any videos or live streaming.
Anyway, I suggest that you try a clean install; see http://forums.adobe.com/thread/928315
    Download the installers from
Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
Once you are done check your Flash Player installation at http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html
