No change in disk space

Question

Hi All,
i am under process of re-installing EBS 11.5.10.2 on RHEL4.0
After stopping the services successfully and manually deleting the tops and rebooting
df -h gives
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/sda1 9.7G 2.0G 7.2G 22% /
none 1013M 0 1013M 0% /dev/shm
/dev/sdb2 2.5G 36M 2.3G 2% /tmp
/dev/sdb5 60G 24G 33G 42% /u01
/dev/sda2 58G 5.2G 50G 10% /u02
/dev/sdb3 388M 59M 309M 16% /var
the used space is stil the same. what could be the problem

thanks for the reply.
yea i have followed doc ID: 110372.1 to clean up. I have deteled the (<sid>appl, <sid>comn, <sid>ora, <sid>db, <sid>data) directories NOT the oracle folder.

output of 'du -h --max-depth=1
[root@eureka u01]# du -h --max-depth=1
24G ./Stage11i
4.0K ./lost+found
8.0K ./oracle
24G .
there is "24G ." taking up 24G could you explain?
i had faced a similar issue earlier when in /u01 was duplicate under Stage11i folder.
