No communication from the Telecommunications co.

I ordered a phone and Internet from BT on 5th March for installation on 2nd April. Today is 11th April and I'm still waiting.....
I have an email addresss, a mobile and a work landline. Maybe BT can do the 'Tele' but they can't do the communication...
Oh wait- they can't do the 'Tele' either!

I've lost track of the number of times I have tried to contact BT- usually several attempts to get through the IVR before speaking to someone who can only read what's on the screen in front of them.
An email to Warren Buckley did generate an email AND a phone call from BT (who knew they had such technological advances) and now I have a working phone.
Still waiting for the internet though. 10 days late and counting....

I have installed Oracle 10.2.0.1 Grid software on a Solaris Zone. I plan to upgrade it to 10.2.0.5 very soon but would like to test the agent connection from a remote server first. I installed agent version 10.2.0.5 on the remote server. When I log into the oracle grid GUI I can see the host called "localhost" (this is not the correct name. It should be the server name) and the database instances on that server. However, when I select the localhost and press the configure button I get the following message:
Communication from the Oracle Mngt service host to the agent host failed. Refer to help for details localhost:cn=servername
The system administrators changed the /etc/hosts file to make sure the server was listed first fully qualified. For example: servername.domain.com instead of servername. However, this did no make a difference.
Could the issue be any of the following:
- Oracle 10.2.0.1 GRID does not work with 10.2.0.5 agents ?
- Oracle GRID in general don't work on SOLARIS Zones?

OMS - -> Agent communication is not upward compatible
Downward, so Agent 10.2.0.1 --> OMS 10.2.0.5, should not be a problem.
In the last case however, you would not have access to any 10.2.0.5 Agent features.
So you can choose from 2 working options:
1 - Install the 10.2.0.1 Agent
2 - Upgrade your OMS to 10.2.0.5 (preferable)

Communication from the Oracle Management Service.....

Hi everybody,
I've got a problem after installing agent on one my server hosting Solaris 9 and Oracle 9i.
In my grid, my server is discovered but when I click on database which is up (icon key green), i tried to log on and I receive this error message :
Io exception: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection
Anyway, when I have a look on Management system, agent Tab, I cannot configure my monitored targets and I have a small message in red under my machines :
Communication from the Oracle Management Service host to the Agent host failed. Refer to help for details. UnknownHostException sending request :: chsunnprod01: chsunnprod01

check your upload dir if any xml file are there Then try to manualy upload

We are moving to a new property in Devon. Booked BT well in advance. Also booked 9 other tradesmen fro mAerial installer, plumber, electrician Intruder alarm installation - all turned up when they said they would, did an excellent job.
The tenth person booked? BT of course DID NOT turn up - no communication nothing, zip, zilch.
having worked for BT for nearly 15 years (Global Services) I learnt to comunicate with the customer and if there was a problem, at least offer a solution or time scale to fix. Openreach of course do not have to adhere to this common polite principle!
having told all concerned of our plans everyone, without fail sais " Good luck with BT" I assured them that it was the BT of old they were thinking of - it had changed so much. So eating my words was very painful and embarrasing!
At time of writing, after 3 phone calls and 2 emails Openreach still treat us with disdain. Virgin Media or Talk Talk look like a better bet at present, so I hope all the engineers involved in this remember when they complain about losing their jobs through lack of orders with BT. I'm trying to bear in mind that BT contribute to my pension, but it is difficult!

How To or Can You Sync from the Apple Tv and Not I tunes???

Ok so Apple is not fixing the problem with the Apple Tv staying in the device list of I-Tunes...not happy about it but whatever. So does anyone know if you can reestablish communication from the Apple Tv, so you do not have to keep going to the computer somewhere else in the house to do it???
Any idea on how to make it appear again in the device list without having to quit i-tunes and re start it on the computer itself, can it be done remotely from the Apple Tv??
Any idea on if having an I-Pod touch controlling it via the network instead of the Apple Tv remote would help out if nothing can be done with the regular remote for the Apple Tv?

I have not tried these things yet, but have seen others who have and none of it worked. But the question is can any of those things prevent I-tunes from dropping the Apple TV from the device list. It did not matter if the Apple Tv was hard wired or not, the wireless strength is very strong and I can still access i-tunes via the network I just can not play my own movies. I do not think I can fix the problem I think Apple has a larger issue with this. I'm not the only one with this problem and see no fixes. So I'm just trying to find a work around from someone who knows more than me, until Apple fixes it...

I have a communication problem from the vpn-anyconnect to easy-vpn-remote, I´ll explain better bellow and see the attached
topology:
1) VPN Tunnel between HQ to Branch Office - That´s OK
2) VPN Tunnel between Client AnyConnect to HQ - That´s OK
The idea is that the Client Anyconnect is to reach the LAN at Branch Office, but did not reach.
The communication is stablished just when I start a session (icmp and/or rdp) from Branch Office to the Client AnyConnect,
in this way, the communication is OK, but just during a few minutes.
Could you help me?

Hi,
the communication works when you send traffic from easyvpn branch side because it froms the IPSEC SA for local subnet and anyconnect HQ pool. The SA will only form when branch initiates the connection as this is dynamic peer connection to HQ ASA.
when there no SA between branch and HQ for this traffic, HQ ASA has no clue about where to send the traffic from anyconnect to branch network.
I hope it explains the cause.

Calling specific put/get commands from the communication channel

Hello,
I need to execute a specific command to place or read the file from the bank file server.
The command for placing the file is something like this -
put localfilename %localfilename%SECUPGPENA%GPEXRIP%%B
I am trying to use the following command in the "Run Operating System Command Before Message Processing" section of the communication channel
"put %F %%F%SECUPGPENA%GPEXRIP%%B"
But the files are not being transferred.
I believe that I need to replace the actual message processing command by the given command by writing a script and calling it.
Please give me any pointers for solving the issue.

Getting a "Your network preferences prevent us from communicating with the server" error in dw 5.5

Hello, lately i noticed dw 5.5 can't seem to use browserlab, it says "Your network preferences prevent us from communicating with the server"
I can connect to BC and other ftp servers no problem, I've also turned off my firewall to be sure and it still won;t connect.
The only info I found on this error is a tip on how to turn off browserlab, which in turn gets this error, Not sure why you would wnat to shut the feature off, but no tip to turn it on. The tip on editing the registry doesn;t help because itsyays to change the registry key to 0 and all communication of adobe products will be turned off, however the key does exist and is set to 1, so I can;t even try that tip in reverse to enable, itshould be communication already.
Any help would be appreciated, I am just competinga site and was about to check it in all the browsers, an incredibly useful and time saving feature, but I can't now.

Phil, the only screenshot I've seen from you is the error message (and I can't seem to view the others you just posted), so apologies if I told you something you'd already tried. We still think there should be a solution to this, it's just that debugging issues this way can be a little difficult, so please bear with us.
At this point our best guess is that there is a registry setting that got changed that is causing the issue for both of you. We have been able to repro the issue on Windows XP by setting the following 32-bit registry entry to 0. The issue was fixed by changing it back to 1. We've also tested on Windows 7 and verified the same thing with the 64-bit registry entry. Apologies if I'm suggesting something that any of you has already tried, but no details were provided about which registry entry you checked or what article you were looking at.

"To my knowledge the only way to get that error message is to disable CSLive in the registry. The Customer does not mention the exact article or reg value that he is looking at in his post but it should be:

Let us know if this fixes the issue for you or not. As with any change to the registry we recommend you make a backup first and proceed carefully.

"ListenerRfc : unknown error" in communication with the IGS from the WAD

I face a problem with the charts in the web template I built. The source query shown as a table is normally presented but the views from the same query are not displayed at all. The diagnostic message refers to an internal error met during the communication with the IGS. The system activities messages text is "ListenerRfc : unknown error".
Anybody could give me a hand in that case?

The connection is Ok. I asked the admnistrator to restart the server because the IGS was desactivated yesterday in a reboot. The IGS works now... when it wants.
I face a new message : "ListenerRfc: unknown interpreter". It seems the problem is not over.
When I launch the dashboard in the web from the WAD, sometimes it shows the chart of the 1st item with the old message for the 2nd or the new message for the 1st one and a chart for the 2nd item.

Get Parent Community from Current Comm using the G6 PRC

Can anyone provide or point me to a sample of code that gets the Parent Community ID from the current community using the G6 PRC? I can find samples of doing this in this discussion, but they appear to reference older versions of the EDK. Ideally, given the current community ID, I would like to walk backwards through the hierarchy until I find the root community (the community with no parent ID).
