  • Custom DocLib Listdefinition (ListType 10000) show no Custom Action to configure incoming email

    Hi,
I need to add a custom listdefinition based on a Document Library which has a listtype like 10000. Libraries created with this listdefinition do not show the custom action to configure incoming email (settings > incoming email).
I heard that this custom action only shows with libraries created with listtype 101. How can I add this custom action to my custom document library.
    Thanks
    Cheers
    Sven

    Hi,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to show the incoming email settings in your custom document library.
SharePoint only shows Incoming Email settings link for OOTB lists of type Announcements, Event, Document Library, Picture Library, XML Form, Discussion Board, Posts.
So, if you create a custom list, you need to create a custom email event handler and attach to your list and then Incoming Email settings link will be available.
Here is a detailed thread with the solution for your reference:

  • Incoming email settings for a dropoff library & content organizer rules in SharePoint 2013

I have configured an incoming email setting for a drop off library,I need to save original email also.Following are the issues:
1)Two attachments are getting uploaded for an email , Email(.eml file) as well as the attached file .I just want to save the email part as it is already containing the  attachment
2)In Mozilla i can see the popup for for opening the .eml file while in IE it is directly opening in browser ,is it possible to show popup in IE?
3)I want to write content organizer rules depending upon the email subject, but i m not able to find that column

1)Two attachments are getting uploaded for an email , Email as well as the attachment.I just want to save the email part as it is already containing attachment
Inder: When you set the incoming email, you get option to save only email and not attachment. check the incoming email settings on that library.
2)In Mozilla I can see the following popup when i click on the email,I want to have this functionality on internet explorer.
Inder : You can do that
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-in/sharepoint-server-help/change-how-to-open-a-document-in-a-library-with-one-click-HA101729873.aspx
    Also enable below feature
lick the gear icon to open Settings, and then click Site settings.
    Click Site collection features.
Note If the Site collection features option isn't present, you must first click
Go to top level site settings.
Locate the Open Documents in Client Applications by Default feature in the list, and then click
    Activate.
3)I want to write content organizer rules depending upon the email subject, but i m not able to find that column
I assume, Email subject should by default become title of that document. Try title

  • Incoming Email Settings for the libraries in My Sites and Personal Sites

    Hello Friends,
I'm currently working on SharePoint 2013 implementation where My Sites have been configured in a separate web application and personal sites are being stored under same web application.
Ex: My Site Host : http://mysite.abc.com
          All Personal sites: http://mysite.abc.com/Personal/firstname_lastname
These are the challenges I'm facing...
    1. I enabled Incoming Emails for one of the document library in My Site host but not receiving emails. (All settings are properly configured, document libraries in other sites (team sites) are getting emails.). I doubt the problem is only with my site template.
    2. Incoming Email Settings are not appearing in "one Drive" document library in my personal site( which is "Documents" library in personal site). So I added Email event as stated here and here
and settings are started appearing, but I can enter only email address as other settings are not appearing.  Here also I'm facing the same problem.
    Kindly share ideas if any.
    Thanks!!

    Hi,
It is encourage that you to use another library in another site template:
    http://davecoleman146.com/2010/10/27/how-to-setup-mail-enabled-document-libraries-in-sharepoint-2010-part-4/
    http://sharepointgeorge.com/2010/configuring-incoming-email-sharepoint-2010/
Please be notice: The e-mail drop folder setting is not available in automatic mode, because that mode automatically sets the e-mail drop folder to the folder that is specified by the SMTP service. (https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc263260.aspx#section3)

    Hi  ,
According to your description, my understanding is that the discussion board cannot receive emails after you set up the incoming email settings in the discussion board list.
Could you find the email in the  drop folder?
If not , please make sure you have configured the incoming email settings correctly:

  • Can I configure incoming email to a Calendar in SharePoint Online 2013?

I'd like to send invitations from my Outlook Calendar to my SharePoint Calendar inSharePoint Online 2013. Is there a way to do this? I've searched and see that I need to change the Incoming Mail Settings, but that doesn't appear under
Communications in SharePoint Online.   I'm not sure how to configure the Incoming Mail Settings to appear under Communications in SharePoint Online.

  • Issue in incoming email settings in discussion forum

    hi,
I have enbaled incoming email settings in my discussion forum list.
i have sent a email with a  subject, sent to the targeted-emailid to the discussion forum and its sent successfully.
But  the users  whom i want to share this discussion thread were not able  to receive the email in return when someone posted a  reply on this forum.
Pls let me know how to resolve this if its possible OOB. any settings / config changes  i need to make it on the exchaneg server or SP Central Admin ?
also  how to attach a file /  [ attachments ] as a reply to this discussion forum thread.

If users want alerts email for some users, you need to set alerts or ask someone to set alerts
You can set alerts in behalf of other users as the administrator for list and inidividual items. Just set up an alert like you are setting it up for yourself...Use the drop-down menu to select "Alert Me", delete your name and enter in someone else's. If
the username textbox is greyed out, you don't have the proper permissions. I think you need to have the "Manage Permission" rights of the site which is included in the Manage Hierachy and Full Control permission levels.

you can also try IAlertNotificationHandler interface to customize alert. If you don’t want to write code, you may consider using 3rd party tool about SharePoint
alert which you can find on the internet.

  • Incoming email settings on library

    Hi!
I have a SharePoint 2013 foundation environment. on this environment i have enabled the incoming email settings and succesfully tested this on a library on the root of my site collection.
When i create a subsite and add a new Document library, i wish to also enable incoming email settings on this library.
the only problem is that, when i go the the incoming email settings from the library, i only have 2 options:
    Enable incoming email settings
    provide the emailaddress
Where are the other settings gone to ? i really need these settings.
    Kind regards.

    Hi,
According to your description, my understanding is that only two options appeared in the Incoming E-mail settings of a library after applying an event receiver to the library.
Did this issue occur with all the libraries?
I recommend to verify the things below for troubleshooting:
Create a new library and apply the event receiver to it to see if the issue still occurs.
Apply the event receiver to an existing library without issue in the Incoming E-mail settings to narrow the issue scope.
You can also set the Incoming E-mail Settings using PowerShell:
    http://thesharepointfarm.com/2013/07/using-powershell-to-manage-sharepoint-email-settings/
    Best regards.

  • Incoming Email settings is not visible for SharePoint SkyDrive.

Incoming Email settings is not visible for SharePoint SkyDrive. Is this the expected behaviour or is there any workaround to resolve this?

    Hi,
I have tested the issue in my environment, there is no incoming email setting in my OneDrive library setting. It seems like it is by design.
    Thanks for the understanding.

  • N96 - Incoming Email settings disappear?

Got an N96 on T-mobile (UK).
It comes pre-defined with some email accounts for NTLworld, AOL etc (I use NTLworld).
If i go into email settings - connection settings - incoming email - and enter my user name and password. Go out of the screen, and back in - all there fine.Either leave it a few minutes or attempt to connect for mail- nothing happens. Go back to check user name and password - they have been reset back to blank???
    Anyone got any ideas?

T Mobile must have messed with your firmware, you'll have to hope another T Mobile user can help
You could hook it up to the Nokia Software Update tool and reinstall your firmware.
Obviously it will put your handset back to out of the box status so you will need to back up any data. Just a thought.

    Dear Verizon Internet Customer,
At Verizon, we continue our efforts to enhance your online experience as well as ensure ongoing security for our Internet customers.  As a result, Verizon Online has modified the way email is handled when sent or received through an email application other than MyVerizon.
If you only use MyVerizon to access your email account, no action is required and you may disregard this email.  If you do, however, use other applications to access your Verizon email, such as Outlook Express®, you will need to modify your email settings to take advantage of enhanced security we now offer.

  • How to configure incoming email to SharePoint List? Facing problem please help.

    Hi,
I am beginner in SharePoint 2013 Administration. I am working with Migrated system from MOSS 2007 to sharePoint 2013.
I am facing issue with SharePoint 2013 List incoming email setting. It was working in MOSS 2007 system.
    I did:
Whenever I am trying to specify list (incoming) email id and submit it. I am getting following error.
"Unable to assign this e-mail address to the list, because the address is in use."
When Users are sending email to list they are getting "Undelivery" notification.
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    Rajat

    Hi Rajat,
There might be below options you can try to resolve the issue.
    1. There is a bug that sometimes causes this issue. If you update the description of the list and try again, it may resolve your problem.
    2. If you have SharePoint setup to create contacts in AD, have you verified there is not a lingering AD contact with the e-mail address? If so, you may need to delete it so the address is available in AD.
Also please check whether other document library is using the same email id for incoming email setting or not.
see below thread for more on this.
