No connection with SP3

I reinstalled my laptop with Xp sp3.
Now my cable connection doesn't work anymore with my N80.
I plug in my cable, takes very long, then message appears that there is a problem with a new usb-device.
Does anybody know a solution ?
Thanks in advance,
Ralf

Hi, John,
I am not a Lenovo guy... But try this:
1). According to your description, it seems like you have installed your wireless card by yourself. (Because T60 should not have installed an Atheros -N card by default because 802.11N cards are not a common component on laptops on T60's era.) And as most Thinkpads install Intel wireless cards, so the update you have applied should only work with Intel Wireless cards but not other brands'. Replace the wireless card dirver with one for Atheros wireless cards. (You can go to Atheros' official website to download drivers.) And try to connect again.
1). Reset your wireless router firstly, and then try to connect again.
2). Did you encrypt your wireless signal? If yes, access to the router's setting page, and try another encryption mode (from WEP to WAP, for example...) And connect again. (If you use Thinkvantage Acess to manage your wireless connection in your laptop, after changing the encryption mode in your router, you also have to change the Wi-LAN property accordingly in your Think Acess settings.)
4). Turn to Lenovo's technician/customer service if all these steps failed.

  • How can I connect with SAP NetWeaver 7.01 SR1 SP3 ABAP Developer Edition

    Hello together,
I downloaded and installed the SAP NetWeaver 7.01 SR1 SP3 ABAP Developer Edition on a virtual client.
I toke a long period to finish the installation.
Now some questions to use this system in the right way:
1.) How can I get a "developer license" which do not expire? Because the link http://www.sap.com/minisap seems to be not ok.
2.) How can I connect via network with the sap system? the application server is running on a vm client with a static ip i.e. 192.168.1.5. And my laptop gets a ip in the same range. I have installed the gui on my laptop and tried to connect with the system. But it does not work! I used as application server the ip of the virtual machine. I use the gui witch is installed on the same host like the application it works (with localhost as application server adress)
3.) Where can I download the newest version of the SAP Gui? I do not have a service marktplace account? Is it possible?
4.) I read in the documentation that it should be possible to reach the sap system also with web dynpro: http://localhost:8000/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?sap-client=000
But it does not work. I got an error message: Service cannot be reached
    Note
The termination occurred in system NSP with error code 403 and for the reason Forbidden.
The selected virtual host was 0 .
    Regards

I fixed in the meantime the second problem. It was a problem with my local firewall. But the other three points are still open.
Thank in advance for your help

  • Exchange Server 2010 with SP3 Management Tools

Recently I have installed brand new Exchange Server 2010 with SP1 in my test domain. Afterwards I upgraded it to Exchange Server 2010 with SP3. On client machine (Windows 7 Pro with SP1 x64) I run setup.exe for Exchange Server 2010 with SP1 installation
DVD to install Management Tools. All checks passed successfully but after installation was completed there was an error in EMC:
The World Wide Web Publishing Service (W3SVC) isn't running on any Exchange servers in the site.  If you want to connect to Remote Powershell, this service must be running.  Make sure that the W3SVC is running on at least one Exchange server.
Of course service is running. I read this has something to do with different versions of Exchange Server itself and Management Tools. Since there is no installation of Exchange Server 2010 with SP3 how to solve this? I assume if I have installation of Exchange
Server 2010 with slipstreamed Service Pack 3, management tools installed from this installation would work.
Also does this mean that, if I have working tools for Exchange Server and SP for it is installed later, tools will stop functioning?

I would install SP3 on all servers and workstation as SP1 and SP2 aren't supported anymore and see how it is behaving...

  • How do I connect with a cat5 cable to my network switch?

I have wireless connection issues with my second generation timecapsule and my windows 7 professional computer.  I used to have very good connection with my windows XP (SP3) computer but notice it is now sporatic.  How can I set up the timecapsule to backup files with a cat5 network cable in case of wireless issues?  Which ethernet port do I use or should I use the WAN port?  Is there any difference in using the newest 2GB timecapsule with the second generation unit?

    datatoo wrote:

    How old is the TC??
Some are more than 3years some are less .. any less can be still under applecare warranty if you have a mac purchased within 2years of the TC.
It could be dying.. they do that... regularly at this point in time.
Actually it is dying.. but I cannot tell you if it will die tomorrow, or live to ripe old age.. 3years and 3days when apple designed it to break. Some make it past break date.. some.. !!
For ethernet ports.. they might become as sporadic as the wireless.. once the power supply reaches EOL, more so actually as it draws more current.
Plug into any LAN port. But you have to have the TC setup using ethernet in either router or bridge mode.. if you are using it in join wireless mode then the ethernet ports won't work.
Just plug in and see.. there is no big deal with doing it.
Are you running bonjour on the win7 pc?
Is your TC setup properly for SMB networking.. ie wireless and TC names correct.. short.. no spaces.. pure alphanumeric.
Setup guest account to read and write permissions.. workgroup set correctly??
Win7 has some nasty behaviour in occasionally deciding it is no longer in a home network.. but work or public.. ensure home.. turn off excess firewalls. ie more than one. Often security software adds secondary firewall to windows internal one.
Lastly the latest firmware to the TC is worse than 7.5.1 or 7.5.2.. and of no advantage to you.. go back.
Is there any difference in using the newest 2GB timecapsule with the second generation unit?
Should be somewhat better wireless.. somewhat faster hard disk access.
In practice.. who knows.. the improvement will be incremental at best.

Any ideas what settings I need to change in order to ensure a successful installation of SQL Server 2008?

Possibly the issue was caused by uninstalling from add-remove programs - at any rate, using aaron bertrand's suggestion below fixed the issue. Also of note - I used the local admin for the install.

yes - remove msxml6 and any other half installed portion of sql 2008 and REBOOT and install sql

  • Centro not sync-ing to Win XP Home with SP3

My brand new Palm Centro failed to sync to Palm Desktop running on Windows XP Home with Service Pack 3.  The Palm "getting started" help desk (very polite, and free) told me I could go back to Service Pack 2, or upgrade to Vista.  There's some kind of incompatibilty between SP3 and current HotSync Manager.  I'll buy a Mac before I go to Vista, and rolling back is unattractive.  Anyone know of another work-around?
    Post relates to: Centro (Verizon)
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

Like WyreNut, I have two XP desktops with SP3 installed. One desktop has PD 4.2 installed, and I have had no Hotsync issues with my TXes.
But the second desktop has PD 6.2.2 installed which I use with my Centro. I do not sync routinely (I don't really use the desktop for any contacts or calendar, and I backup daily with NVBackup to a SD card). And, since downloading SP3 on this desktop I have not run a Hotsync, until today.
I plugged the Centro in, and pressed the Hotsync button on the cable connector, and absolutely nothing happened. Several times. The LED glows red indicating that the cable connection is OK. But the Hotsync button refused to initiate a Hotsync. So on the Centro, I went into the System category, and opened the Hotsync application, tapped the Hotsync icon in the middle of the screen to initiate a Hotsync directly from the Centro. Hotsync proceeded normally, though it took forever because I had not done a Hotsync since early September.
After that Hotsync completed and Hotsync Manager shut down, I pressed the Hotsync button on the connector again, and as the seasonal poem goes (with apologies to Clement Clarke Moore):
When what to my wondering eyes should appear,
but the Hotsync Manager's progress bar so dear.
I don't understand much about Windows, but maybe the Hotsync Manager just needed a jump start after installing SP3. Anyway, it's working fine now.

  • T43 Access Connections XP SP3 trouble

I have seen this posted around the net quite a bit, but as of yet nothing has worked for me. I can't seem to get Access Connections to work with my wifi card after rebuilding my laptop with an XP SP3 integrated installation. Unlike some other posters, I used the official Microsoft download of XP with SP3 from the Volume Licensing site rather than slipstreaming it myself.
The only suggestion I have seen specific to XP and not Vista is to enable and set to automatic the "extensibile authentication protocol" and "network access protection agent" services, as well as make sure that the "wireless zero configuration" service is operating. I enabled the two suggested services and WCZ was working, but still Access Connections refuses to believe that the wireless radio is turned on, let alone do anything about it.
Are there any other potential fixes for this problem?

I updated my T43 to SP3 two weeks ago. The only issue I have had was with Java for a particular web site I have to use on a daily basis, this was fixed with an update.
Basically I let Windows Update install SP3 and after it had completed I went wireless online and ran TV System Update which updated Power Management etc. and Access Connections, no issues to report.
I would suggest uninstalling the WLAN card and AC followed by a new start. Install the latest WLAN driver and after re-starting install the latest AC followed by, if required the HotKey driver.

  • Linksys WRT300N Connectivity with Proper Settings

I am a computer tech and have worked with Linksys products for years. Over the last year or so, I have had so much trouble, I cannot explain it. I have a client who purchased a Linksys WRT300N that I initially setup a few months ago. It is connected with cable modem from Linksys. Hardwired, the speeds are just fine. I have the most recent firmware and setup lower threshhold levels and such to gain better wireless signal, performance. The only computer I am having trouble with is one using the WUSB300 adapter. The computer is XP SP3 and using the most recent driver. I even installed the Linksys utility and tested it, to no avail. This desktop is right around the corner from this router, it works well with a Mac, but it will not be read by the desktop WUSB300. I did release/renew, uninstalled/reinstalled, checked everything and the adapter will not get a good signal plus it doesn't get assigned an IP and continues with the 169.xx.... I rebooted the modem then router, and then rebooted computer. The initial connection worked then gone. It never held and this is around the corner. For the Mac, I did a speedtest.net and with a strong signal, and Wireless N only, I received less than DSL lite speeds but hardwired, I achieved up to 15000kbps. I cannot explain what is happening. The router has the most recent firmware, there is no interference since transmitting N only, and I did the proper settings that previous posts commented on, to get better signal strength. What am I not seeing? Why would the speeds be so slow, from doing at least 6 tests over an hour? Also, why would I not get an ip address from one N router to another N device, by the same manufacturer? Sorry for the frustration here, but I recommended this equipment a year ago and Linksys has been very disappointing in its results. These N products are unreliable. Some work and most don't...I am learning. j

because the adapter which you are using is draft 1 version adapter which has had issues connecting in the wide channel = 40.
I have a one year old Macbook and I assume a first generation built in N wireless card. If, in fact, it is a Draft 1 adapter, does that mean I should use the 20Hz band instead of the wide 40Hz? Thank you for the advice. SMR1

Can someone give me some advice?
    Edited by: m.genova on May 6, 2009 6:06 PM

I've resolved the problem, the key of problem is SAProuter String.
SAPRouter String is used only for routing phase.
It needs aappend another string to SAPRouter String to connect with AS or Exchange infastructure correctly.
    Complete String = SAPRouter String + "[server]/S/32[SystemNumber]"
in case of connection with nx7 system:
    "/H/[your_server]/S/[your_port]/H/155.56.49.28/H/[server_nx7]/S/32[SystemNumberNX7]".

  • ITunes store can't connect with on-board wireless

I am running Windows XP SP3 and my computer won't connect to the iTunes store with my on-board wireless. When I am at work docked and hardwired on the network, I can connect no problem. I am connected to the Internet when I am using my wireless but the iTunes store times out and says to check network connection. I also have a Spring card and I can connect to the store with it, but I would rather connect with my wireless.
Do I possibly have a conflict with the Sprint card even though it is disconnected?

Thanks for the reply. I thought that might be the problem too, but I can connect to the iTunes store if I use my wife's laptop, so I don't think the problem is with the router.
    Any other thoughts?

  • Zen Vision:M won`t connect with PC

So, when i connect Zen with PC, OS immediatly starts to find drivers, but Zen doesn't react on the connection.
I tried to install PC Application, but it didn't install, because it needs XP SP2 and my XP has third Service Pack.
I have found CMS, which has 3.03 version, but it didn't install too, because it couldn't find any connections with Creative products (My player was connected)
    How can i connect Zen?
PS - Sorry for my probably mistakes, English language is foreign for me ))
    PS2 - WMP 0- won't
    Install on SP3, too.

    Hello again )
Yesterday, i tried to connect the player with 2 PCs.
First had XP SP3 and when i`ve connected Zen with it, Zen showed an yellow picture with two black arrows (or something like that ), i've installed CMS 5 on that PC.
Second had XP SP2 and Zen didn't react on connection, i was confused.
It so interesting, that ZNVM_PCApp32_LA_6_2_0.exe didn't install on SP2, it showed the error :
The Windows operating system running on this computer is not supporter with the product.
    Setup will exit.
What it the main requirement for PCApp32?
