No Disk Error for Adobe Premiere Elements 12
I installed Adobe Premiere Elements 12 to my PC. Everytime I load the software, I get this annoying alert saying that there is no disk located error. I can get it to go away if I click on try again a bunch of times, but I want to get rid of this problem. It should NOT be happening. SOME BODY TELL ME WHAT TO DO PLEEAASE!

There was no definitive answer. Still waiting for follow up to the latest line of questions in that thread.
Suggestions about this being a long time issue are a bit misleading. In versions of Premiere Elements earlier than 12, there was a SmartSound/Sonicfire Pro 5 feature which appeared to be linked to the disc error message. And, updating SmartSound/Sonicfire Pro 5 was claimed to be the cause and remedy for the disc error message.

However, SmartSound/Sonicfire Pro 5 is no longer a feature in Premiere Elements 12. Premiere Elements 12 does have a Music Score feature, similar in principle to SmartSound soundtracks, but the SmartSound feature is gone in version 12.

Ran the Adobe Support advisor, but it seems to recommend to ignore the error. However, the product won't install.

How to install content cd for Adobe Premiere Elements 10?
I am unable to install the content cd for Adobe Premiere Elements 10. Please help.
I removed the programs from my computer and reinstalled them. I installed
both Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 and Adobe Premiere Elements 10 from disk
1. Then I installed all of the content folders from disk 4 (content).
When I open the Premiere Elements Program a dialogue box asked if I wanted
to add content, I checked yes and an internet site opened and I was able to
download the content.
There must have been something wrong with my original installation of the
program as this didn't happen before.

Hi, I have problem with importing MOV files from SJCAM 4000. MOV files are in supported formats for Adobe Premiere Elements 11. But if I'm importing MOV file, only audio part is imported, video part is not imported. How can I solve this problem?

From looking at the specifications of your camera (SJCam 4000), we know already what video compression your camera is using. It is H.264.
A H.264.mov file should be supported by Premiere Elements 11. On what computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 11 running?
Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer? And, are you running QuickTime and Premiere Elements 11 from a
User Account with administrative privileges? Please go to Premiere Elements 11 Publish+Share/Computer/QuickTime to confirm that you find
presets there for the QuickTime choice there.
What are the properties of these H.264.mov files - is it 1080p30 (1920 x 1080p30) or something else? Do you know if this camera is recording with a variable or
a constant frame rate?
Please review and consider and then we will decide what next.

The CD comes with the book and the practice files are not downloadable (AFAIK - but I haven't used the book myself). You need to buy a new book from Amazon if you want the lesson files. -

There is no download available for version 3 that I am aware of - version 9 is the oldest available offered by Adobe. Serial numbers are only valid for the version they were purchased for.

It sounds like you downloaded the wrong application, namely Adobe Premiere Elements.
If you meant Adobe Photoshop Elements, you're in the wrong forum. This is not the Elements forum.

Is the purchased Premiere Elements 12 still in its sealed packaging?
If you have not already, I would suggest that you install Premiere Elements 12 from the purchased installation disc
and evaluate its performance in your computer environment.
a. Does the program fail to install?
b. Do you get Display Card errors?
If you are worried about not being able to return 12 once the package is opened, then you can try the following
a. Download the Premiere Elements 12 tryout files from the following web site and evaluate it as a tryout (full
featured).

You may be able to convert the files using Quicktime Pro ($29 from Apple) -- but that depends on what you want to convert them to!
Is your ultimate plan to burn a BluRay disk or are you ultimately planning to output a standard DVD?
