No login via Web Interface possible

Hello,
after installing iFS (version 9.0.1.1.0) access via Windows Network-neighborhood makes no trouble. Using the Web Interface iFS doesn't authenticate login and password although this user exists. The default system/manager has also no chance to login.
Thanks in advance for all hints!

Hi Stephen,
I'm not sure why it would be hanging. You can try holding the reset button on the back of the device for 15 seconds. This is not data destructive, it only resets user and network settings. See if this will allow access to the device.

  • HP LaserJet 400 MFP M425dn: bug in MTU path discovery, printer reboots via web interface

     Firmware Datecode: 20121205
    1. We can not access this MFU over VPN link. Otherer devices are accessed successfully.
As far as I understand there is an error in MTU Path Discovery.
    tcpdump logs are attached.
Is there a way to change MTU of this device?
    2. This MFU a  reboots when I open page "Settings" of "Networking" submenu (/hp/device/set_config_networkSettings.html?tab=Networking&menu=NetSettings) if option "System" -> "System Setup" -> "Language" is "Russian". But this looks like a very good feature since I've have not found the way to reboot this printer remotely.
Here I was tring to access web interface over VPN (IPSec), 192.168.4.135 is IP of my comp, 192.168.160.200 - is IP of MFU, 192.168.160.254 is a gateway:

Its hard to understand what you are trying to do or ask here.   We have some offices connected via IPSEC tunnels. IPSEC interface's MTU is 1280 bytes (not 1500 bytes as Ethernet). All other devices successfully work over this VPN link. HP m2727 works. HP m425dn does not work. As a network administrator I've traced source of problem on all possible points and found that HP m425dn has a bug in the "Path MTU Path discovery" routine. The logs I attached shows that any packet of the TCP stream that the printer (160.200) sends to host (4.135) has "Don't fragment" flag set. According to IP standard the router HAVE TO discard the packet with DF flag set and size bigger then MTU since it can not pass a packet further without fragmentation - IPSEC MTU is 1280 bytes only while HP sends 1500 bytes. The router informs the printer about this problem with ICMP message Type: 3 (Destination unreachable) with Code: 4 (Fragmentation needed) suggesting MTU of next hop: 1280. The router does not communicate with the printer itself, it just informs the printer about network problem. According to IP standard the printer HAVE TO resend this data with the size of packet decreased according to suggested size. This is expected behavior of the Path MTU discovery routine. But the printer  sends the packet again with the same size and DF flag set. The router again discards the packet and informs printer... This cycle repeats again and again until connection is closed due to timeout. Therefore "Path MTU discovery" routine is broken at this device. It would not be a serious problem, but the printer resends packets at rate over 28000 pps (about 40 MBytes per seconds) and its CPU is so heavily loaded that it even does not respond to touches on its touchscreen. So an innocent attempt to print document on terminal server located at another office leads to inaccessibility of the printer.

You have radius setup for managment?  If you have radius setup, make sure you don't have the managmeent check box enabled unless you are using TACACS or Radius for management users.  Seem's like radius if sending a reject back to the WLC.

  • Accessing Email (inbox) via web interface

    Hi All.
I am testing functionality of Oracle Beehive.
I installed Beehive 1.4.3.0 + Beekeeper 1.4.3.0 on windows 2003. Is there a possibility for a user to access email inbox, address book, etc. via web page similarly as it is in Zimbra? If yes how can I access it? (which url, port).
    Regards
    Groxy

    Hi,
If you had 3Gb or more RAM in the machine where you installed Beehive server, the Zimbra web interface would have been configured automatically in 1.4.3. It'll be at http://server:port/zimbra. Where 'server' is the beehive server and port is probably 7777 if there was nothing else on the machine consuming that port when you installed.

When that webpage opens there are 3 tabs. The first tab is your Problem discription tab the second one is Additional Information tab. In that tab there are 3 choices Solution, Project and Process. When i select a project and then go to the process tab i dont see any process there (i assume these are business process for the project that was choosen). Does any one have additional information regards this functionality.

  • Connecting to exchange server via web interface?

Employer's exchange server has IMAP disabled and IT will not consider adding activesync for iPhone 2.0. Using the web interface via Safari is way too hard on an iPhone to be practical except in emergencies.
Question: The new version of Entourage allows for retrieval and sync through a connection to the exchange web interface. It behaves just like it's connected directly to the exchange server, but is hitting exchange's web server.
Is there anything like this for iPhone? Any way to retrieve mail into the native mail application (rather than web app) by polling the exchange web server?

A few things. Neither will give you the functionality you seem to be after.
    1) Use Exchange OMA service (text based view via web) very quick compared to the full image web based application. Has read/write functionality but you are not going to want to write an email via this.
    2) Outlook 2007 supports http: access. You could use that to pull the data from your work account to say a home PC and sync your iPhone (albeit once a day).
    3) Ask them to install iTunes 7.7 on your work PC so you can sync (I think I know how this would go down in a company )

Can I configure the base station via a Linux box using web interface? I don't like the idea of installing software. I still have my old ibook g4 but I'd rather not depend on it if I need to change something in the future.

Sorry, you'll need to use AirPort Utility to configure the AirPorts. There is no web interface available for this.

  • OS authentication via Web interface (Intranet) possible?

    Hi,
I have database users that have access to iFS too. The database users are OS authenticated. It anoyes them, that contrary to the standard explorer interface, the Web (IE) interface requires them to type in their OS password.
I did not find any means to let iFS authenticate the users accessing iFS through the intranet (NOT internet). Perhaps this is a foolish thing to expect, I do not have too much knowledge of what the IE browser knows or do not knows of the user using it.
Can this be done? Perhaps with a custom built web logon?
    TIA,
    Tamas Szecsy

When you say that your users are OS authenticated - does OS stand for Operating System?
Do you mean that you're using the NT directory services to authenticate users when they log into the client machines?
When you say that they are also database users, do you mean that they are also using other Oracle database applications?
In any of these cases, Oracle 9iFS does not currently support Single Sign On, but this is a requirement that we are considering for a future release.
The Oracle Single Sign On server would enable applications to share credentials so that a user would log in once to one application,
and subsequent SSO applications would look up the authenticated credentials instead of making the user log in again.

  • Run Script on Remote Mac via Web Interface

I have a script that does what I want it to do (which is to select a particular speaker, or set of speakers in Airfoil - http://www.rogueamoeba.com/airfoil/mac/ - on a remote mac).
I would like to be able to execute the script from a non-mac (actually a PlayStation Portable), so I wondered whether it would be possible to do something like this:
    1. Enable the web server on the remote machine.
    2. Serve a page with a link to the appropriate script.
    3. Browse to the page on the PSP and choose a link to initiate the script.
Problem: I have no idea whether this is possible with AppleScript.
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.
      Mac OS X (10.4.5)

It's possible. If the PSP can send an email form then you could set up a Mail.app rule that triggers the AppleScript. A more direct method would be to set up ACGI Dispatcher ($) to fire the script. I have that running on my machine and use it occasionally. There was a secret to making the thing actually work on my machine that took me a few months to work out. Hopefully you won't have that problem since now I can't even remember what it was.

    Hi,
We have deployed SAP BI 7 with Web access only for user.
Only some Key users are allowed to use Query Designer.
In fact, all users can create view through Web analyzer. However, they have no way to delete these views.
It appears that view deletion is only available through Bex Analyzer...
Does anybody know a way to delete view from Web analyzer or at least through query designer ?
    Thanks for your answers,

  • Unable to Config WRE54G via Web Interface-Any Thoughts?

I have reset my WRE54G (version 1) to factory defaults, yet I get no response to ping or HTTP on 192.168.1.240. IP config on computer is correct--LEDs on WRE54G not indicating any issue and I can see the default SSID on my site monitor-so it is not totally dead, just brain dead apparently. Tried disabling the WEP on my WRT54G2 and doing "auto config" and that did not seem to help either...
Any thoughts on what I might do to get back to web UI?

    Try this :
Go to the setup page of the router and unsecured the network and click on save settings...Now,use auto-config feature of WRE.. Check this link. Wait for the Link and Activity lights to go blue on the range expander which will indicate a successful wireless connection between the expander and the wireless router/access point.
