No print function available

When using iCal, I have tried to use the print function by using File>Print and/or Cmd-P, but I get no dialogue box. I'm using a Brother DCP7020 printer. Any ideas on what's up?

You should be able to print on two sides using this method for your product:
NOTE:You can print your document on both sides of the paper, instead of just one side. Click on the Advanced button on the Paper/Quality or Layout tab. From the Pages to Print drop-down menu select Print Odd Pages Only . Click OK to print. After the odd numbered pages of the document have been printed, remove the document from the output tray. Reload the paper in the input tray with the blank side facing up. Return to the Pages to Print drop-down menu and then select Print Even Pages Only . Click OK to print.

Printing from PS CC worked fine today. I made no changes to preferences. In between working with 2 projects, the first one printed fine, the second gave me this Error Message.

Now I've checked for updates for my printer, reset my printer, reset PS CC preferences, picked my printer as Default and Last Used, and rebooted. I've followed all the recommended fixes for this issue I could find here and on the internet. I can print fine from any other program. Alas, the error message keeps popping up and I can't print.

PROBLEM: Cannot print from Photoshop
After restart error message appears:

• All print commands are greyed out and unavailable — even to call up the printer commands cannot be done.
The printer printed fine until about 2 weeks ago when this error message appeared. Printing continues from Pages, I-photo, preview etc. — only Photoshop fails.
The printer has been turned on and off, as have open documents been closed and open etc.. Preferences reset. Repeatedly I have read through blogs and forums and attempted to contact Adobe — all without results
Epson support struggled to find reason and several solutions were tried and they assume this is an Adobe problem.
Running Mac Powerbook X 10.10.2 / Photoshop CS6 13.0.6.x64
Attempting unsuccessfully to print to Epson 3880

I've never had this problem before. It only affects Photoshop CS6 and CS5 that I have installed. I'm running MAC OS 10.9.5
I have three printers and HP and two Epsons, and I get this dialogue when trying to print from Photoshop CS6 or CS5.
There was an error opening your printer. Printing functions will not be available until you have selected a printer and reopened any documents.
Other applications print fine on all three printers. I tried deleting the Photoshop Prefs numerous times without results.
Does anyone have an answer for this?

Using Photoshop CS6 and after printing approx. 10 cards on an Epson R3000 printer the program gives me a dialog box saying "There was an error opening your printer. Printing functions will not be available until you have selected a printer and reopened any documents." Even after closing and reopening the program, the print command is greyed out so I cannot select any printer. This also happens with a Brother laser printer. Both printers will produce a test page out side of the Adobe product. Help!

I cannot get any help either. I get the message "There was an error opening your printer. Printing functions will not be available until you have selected a printer and reopened any documents." I have reinstalled all drivers, powered off/on all printers (2 of them - a Brother HL - 4040cn and an Epson Stylus Pro 7890 - which all worked fine until this morning). There appears to be no path to a solution. I have read all the forums and tried about 20 different suggestions all to no avail. Reboots, changing cables, reinstalling printers and drivers and Photoshop CS6 - ALL TO NO AVAIL. On a macbook pro retina with 10.10.3. This issue is out there and some get solutions - but not all - that's my crowd...the not all crowd. I have yet to be able to print from CS6 any more. This is a show stopper and my patience is wearing thin. And I'm tired of stupid questions like "is your printer powered on?" give me a break. This appears to be an adobe photoshop cs6 problem - as I can print from every other application. Anyone have any ideas? Adobe should have something?... Adobe system info below:

If you wonder how to install the printing function of your HP Laserjet M1005 printer, here is listed a bullet list of the actions. This has just been tested out thanks to the Support team from Germany

Use the opportunity to update your printer firmware by selecting the link "Printer Firmware Update"
Shutdown your Mac and start up in the safe boot mode (should be the combined keyboard shift and power on/off - refer to the Apple web site for details)
Run the downloaded SW package listed in the step 1
Go and select under system settings printer and fax, follow the step-by-step instructions to have a printer installed
Shutdown your Mac and start up again in the safe boot mode
Connect your printer and the printer SW installation message shoud pop up requesting you to install it
SW download process should appear and run
Be aware that just the printing function will be available - no scanning function so far

Is there a way to make an Adobe pdf read-only? Can I disable the print function for an isolated document before making it available to others? I am working on MAC laptop.

The only working print-related function in BioBench1.2 on my PC is the "Print Report", all the other "Print" functions gave me "Error, the printer is not set up correctly".

I used to print all my BioBench data by first exporting them to Excel and then print from there. Recently I need to print some of the screen shots and some data directly from array analysis, but when I click on the "print" buttons, the "Error, the printer is not set up correctly" message occurs. The only thing I can print from BB without this error is the report printing function. I have a postcript printer and I have set the postscript option to be "true"... Thanks !

This problem is a result of a limitation in Windows 9x regarding the size of an image that you can send to the printer. The problem does not occur on Windows 2000/NT. This problem appeared with the increased color options of LabVIEW 6.0 on which the BB1.2 is based.Although it is not immediately obvious, your video driver and settings play a role in printing.
1. Try adjusting the color palette your driver uses (i.e., 256 color, high olor, true color). The error may occur only in one of these modes. Also, change the resolution (number of pixels) to represent the Screen Area; e.g., change from a 1024 x 768 display to an 800 x 600 pixel display.
2.Certain video drivers also support "acceleration" modes. Using a non-accelerated mode often eliminates the error. For
Windows 95/98, right-click on your My Computer icon and select "Properties" from the pop-up
menu. On the Performance tab, click the Graphics button and change the Hardware Acceleration (e.g., if it is set to "Full", lower the setting a notch or two); for Windows 2000/NT, right-click on your Desktop and select "Properties" from the pop-up menu. 3.In Windows, the standard VGA driver provided by the operating system is very stable. Try using this driver in place of the specific one written for your video hardware. If the error is eliminated, there is likely a problem with your vendor-provided video driver.

HP Deskjet 1220c printer functions won't work in Leopard

Hello. I'm a first time forum user. My HP driver is 3.3.3 (latest from Software Update) and all I can do is print, no options are available. On HP's site they offer a driver from Nov. 2007, no version number listed but that sure seems outdated. Any idea how I can get the print functions working? Thank you.

I'm having the exact same problem. I know when I used the 1220c on my old G4 using panther you had a wide variety of functions including selecting paper types like photo, gloss, card stock etc. Can you access these options?

Windows10 wont connect to Scanner function but works with printing function

Just completed upgrade to WIN10. Printing function works fine -- shows the exact product name HPE 18113 (5520 series)but when I try to scan it tries to connect to HP 5520 series (net) and then says not able to connect. I've checked everywhere I can think of to see if I can change the from that generic 5520 series (net) to HPE 181113 (5520 series) which how it connected before upgrade & how the printer works.My connection between ALL in ONE printer & PC is wireless so I tried to go under Network Security setting to enable Webscan BUT it goes to HP page that is not available either! I have a All In One 6620, purchased in April 2012 when I bought an entirely new computer system with Windows 8 and my two year old HP printer wouldn't wouldn't work with the new system. How do I use the print function to output a numeric variable with a fixed amount of leading zeroes

I need to create an output from a T-SQL query that picks a numeric variable and uses the print function to output with leading zeroes if it is less than three characters long when converted to string. For example if the variable is 12 the output should
be 012 and if the variable is 3 the output should be 003.
Presently the syntax I am using is PRINT STR(@CLUSTER,3) . But if @CLUSTER which is numeric is less than three characters I get spaces in front.

NO! NO! In RDBMS, we have a presentation layer that handles displays. We do not ever do it in the database. This is fundamental. But more than that, the purpose of PRINT is for debugging in T-SQL and never for output.
You are still writing 1960's COBOL or BASIC, but you want to to it in SQL. You probably picked the wrong data type (a numeric that should be a string) and are trying to repair your design error.

Hi Folks,
I need to understand Infopath Print functionality. It's a basic question, but please help me.
My Infoapth form has 2 views. View A and View B. I want Print version of both forms. I have created a separated print view for both forms Print_ViewA and Print _ViewB (I have removed Submit buttons and other buttons from print version). Now when users fills
View A , how he will be directed to Print the form? I mean should I give a separate print button and on clicking print button shold i redirect to print_viewA or what.
