No, seriously. This is messed up.

I posted a while ago about my Mini and no one answered. Now it's still having problems- but different ones. It had been that my Mini froze when I tried to copy music to it. Now it'll let me copy to it, but when I disconnect and turn on my Mini to listen, there's nothing there! When I plugged it in, it acted like it was new or I'd just restored it.
I first tried plugging it into someone else's computer to see if it would freeze- this is what it did then, too.

I don't know how it was fixed- it just stopped doing it.
I plugged it into another computer with itunes and tried to update it from there to see if it would freeze then. It didn't, but it destroyed the directory or something because the songs wouldn't show up when I tried to listen to them on the iPod. It acted like it was empty.

(on my iphone i LOST some of my contacts, all of my reminders are gone, and nothing is showing up on the ical on my iphone, and only some notes are showing).......
2). everything is still shown on my macbook pro.... but when i tired to go and sync it..... nothing is transfering to my phone........
3). when i log into the 2 icloud accounts i have with icloud(.com) nothing is showing up in there also......
whats is going on..... this is a huge mess for me. i want to go back the way is was like 1-2 years ago. when you can just sync things from the computer to the phone and not have to go through icloud....... ive been struggling with icloud but today just me hate it to the max.
ANY HELP ON HOW I CAN FIX ALL OF THIS.....

im not sure what you mean by you second statement. when i open those application on my macbook its on my macbook but when i sign into icloud. i have those option selected.
maybe my problem is im using the wrong ID...... lol.
is there away you can delete or change icloud accounts/ ID's???

All devices become unable to run the latest software at some point.

I'm starting a new thread about this unsolved issue.
I can't in any way get audio input in iChat working since switching to Tiger. I'm not alone with this problem. I have FIVE friends with the exact same issue.
Line In - NO
Microphone In - NO
Digital In - NO
3rd party Sound Card - NO!
In system preferences the input meter displays loud enough incoming signal but iChat shows nothing at all. QuickTime Recording works like a charm.
I have 3 computers myself, none of them work with audio input in iChat, output works fine but it's not enough...
Re-installing the system doesn't do it either.
I have an iSight but I've misplaced it so I can't test if that works but I seriously doubt it.
3rd party sound cards tested (all with latest drivers):

Digidesign Mbox (1)

Ralph...I am new to this discussion. I am also having difficulty hearing my buddy. He is using a Windows PC. He can hear and see me. I can see him. We are using AIM. (I have a G5 with latest Tiger and using the Isight camera and IChat).

This is where I'm confused. In IChat Preferences the microphone selected is ISight Built In...in System Preferences Output is Internal Speakers with Built in Audio Port...in Input it is ISight with Firewire port.
In IChat preferences I don't seem to have an output button.

Ok for extra clarity. The blue bars in System
Preferences > Sound and the green Bar in the Video
section Preview screen (even without a camera) are
the visual indicators of the sound from your Mic into
iChat.
In Connection Doctor (from the Audio/Video menu) the
green bars, with percentages showing, is the Audio
(and Video) from your Buddy.
Since I'm not connected now, I can't tell...

ON WINDOWS 8 LAPTOP: Firefox CANNOT play any video on Yahoo News, seriously, this is so freaking sad, Please help...., it just can't play. Please HELP.

This is some standard guidance that addresses the most common issues with the Flash player plugin. I'm sure you've seen some of it before, but just in case:
(1) Make sure all recorders/downloaders that interact with Flash media are as up-to-date as possible, or disable them.
(2) Disable hardware graphics acceleration in Firefox and in Flash
(A) In Firefox, un-check the box here and restart:

I upgraded to Lion on my main computer for $30. Last night I attempted to upgrade my mini server to Lion Server. First it told me I had to buy Lion again along with Lion Server, which I did for $80. Then when I downloaded the new Lion and install it, it said I had to buy both again. The server update had INSTALL highlighted, but when I clicked, it said I had to buy both again. It's still in a loop where I can't install either without repurchasing the pair.
Meanwhile, AX flagged a fraud alert because Apple tried to purchase the Ap 5 times. Got that fixed, but there doesn't appear to be a way of getting Apple to address the problem except by email with a 24 hour queue.
No wonder their profits are 3 times larger than estimated.

But sounds like it's an application that was added to the Finder Toolbar and that application is no longer found.
You can drag the ? off the toolbar to remove it. You can right click - Customize toolbar to add items you want such as a frequently used application or a folder.

This is messed up...

I took my uncles hard drive out of his machine and put it into my own so I could remove files from it before formatting it and reinstalling Windows. So I plug it into the IDE cable, alongside my two SATA drives. Nothing happens when I turn the machine off. I figure I may not have enough power to keep everything running, so I unplug some stuff and try different combinations. Anyway, I got to a point where I had to reset the motherboard. It got things to start showing again, but I couldn't alter anything in the BIOS setup - I'd set up the SATA RAID, click on save changes, and the screen would go dark. The computer did not reboot, it just stopped responding. So I turned it off. On restart, a warning message appeared stating that there was a CMOS checksum error and that default setup had been loaded. This means my RAID configuration is not sticking, and I am unable to load into Windows any more. So I took the IDE drive out, and nothing changed.
Now, when I go into BIOS setup, the system clock seems to be incrementing every value at the same time - year, month, day, hour, minute and second. If I try and change one using Page Up and Page Down, it cycles through seemingly random until it settles on something. Now this can't be normal.
Any ideas on what I should do about this?

Well, like I said, I tried unplugging stuff and all sorts of combinations, SATA drives included. I unplugged all the drives at one point, but no change.
Anyway, I took the battery out and checked it - seems to be more or less dead. I'll try and get a hold of a new one and see if that is what I need.

I need to downlaod cha cha toolbar and firefox 8 isnt supported by them. I need to downgrade to 7. How do I do this without messing up anything that I imported from my computer to firefox 8?

Firefox 7 is insecure so I don't recommend going back to 7. Instead try installing the Add-on compatibility reporter. It will force add-ons to work with the new version of Firefox. Instructions are in this article - [[Add-ons are disabled after updating Firefox]]

I can't seem to figure how this OTN thing is organised, so many
information scattered everywere without any design pricniple, no
URL to design pages, the find function doesn't display any real
usefull information, to broad or to narrow.
So How do I figure the current problems on a product ? how do I
figure the solved problems ? how do I find the patchs, do I need
to minitor everyday the patchs posted on ftp.oracle.com, and try
to figure out what they seem to do !?
Wouldn't it easier to post on every product home page, or
somewere the new patches, and their meaning ?
Why did Oracle feeled the need to oraganise the Dejanews
discussion forum differently, "Dejanews classic" is a neet way to
search for information, why did they change the interface forcing
you to learn a new way ?
I have browsed litteraly hours true this site, and true the forum
to try to figure out if there is a patch for Oracle 8.i to solve

I upgraded to Mavericks.........then a few days later i get a prompt to put in my keychain access password.....i do......it won't take it.....i go through this whole mess.....I try to reset my keychain...nothing has worked that i have tried.

After some unfortunate research and trial and error.....it is not fixed.......i cannot access for icloud, iphotos, email......well, you get the picture......I'm not a mac guru..,I just want some advice on how to get my computer running, pre-maverick......thanks
