No solution for excessive charges - Verizon mobile WI-Fi Device

According to Verizon I somehow used 2.1 GB of data within a 4 hour period on 10/29/2013. I was not even using my computer for most of that time and what time I did use it involved absolutely nothing that would account for this data usage. Just surfing the net with no videos or downloads. When I contacted Verizon and spoke with a support tech they reviewed my usage for the month and agreed that it was extremely unlikely that I had used this amount of data within the time period indicated. None of that apparently matters though because I am still being required to pay for the overages incurred against my account because of this situation. Has anyone else encountered a situation like this?

So in other words Verizon doesn't take criticism at all, this forum is completely phony and nothing but a poor attempt at improving public relations, Verizon has absolutely NO concern for their customers and intends to continue to rip off their customers. (Comments discussing moderation removed) I assure you that as soon as my service contract has expired I will be leaving the "Verizon Family" ASAP and will NOT be back. I have dealt with Verizon for both DSL phone-line based internet service and Mobile Wi-Fi and have been screwed both times. I was with AT&T for 20 years and never had a bit of trouble. Unfortunately I moved to another state to an area not served by AT&T.

If you are using the iPhone camera zoom then remember that this is a digital zoom not an optical zoom. The zoomed in area will have fewer pixels and not appear as clear. The more you zoom the worse it gets. It's like cropping a picture after it has been taken.

Solution to excess charges for Mobile Enhanced SMS

Finally some good news. I was originally told by a Telstra staff member in November that the reason for these charges, was that my son was using premium services or entering competitions. I checked with him and he assured me that he wasn't, so just before Christmas I decided to call Telstra again re these charges and actually spoke with Sylvia at the call centre and guess what? Sylvia knew exactly what I was talking about and gave me an easy fix solution right there and then. All I had to do was go to message settings and untick delivery reports, (how easy was that). Without asking Sylvia also processed a credit for the $51.60 on my previous bill.True to her word my bill arrived this morning with the credit and no additional Mobile enhanced SMS fees. Thanks ChelseaDame for this solution regarding these charges that have suddenly appeared on my bill. I had ticked the box to receive delivery reports as I have been trying to troubleshoot on sms issues that I have been experiencing sine the 1/5/12..... which is still not sorted, regardless of the barrage of tests that I have conducted...... I will now untick this box to avoid additional costs being incurred - especially as I am currently running close to my cap limit due to the increase in texts that I have needed to make to sort the sms issue, I certainly was not aware that I would be charged a fee for this feature & will take this up with Telstra when I receive the call from the Tech Support Team. Thanks again for the background info :-)

My Solution for iPod Touch 3rdGen not recognized as device in iTunes

Ok, I tried everything I could, all the recomended solutions including removing itunes completely and re-installing, and nothing worked. My iPod is recognized on another computer so I figured it to be my computer's setup... or a problem with iTunes. In desperation I searched on line (google) and found iTunes 9.0. I removed iTunes completely, re-booted and installed 9.0 and suddenly it worked... sort of... The iPod Touch needs 10.5 or greater to work... so INSTEAD of removing iTunes 9.0, I did an upgrade to 10.6.1 from within iTunes and when I plugged my iPod back in... IT WORKED !!!! I figure there was something not quite right about the fresh install from the Apple website, but the upgrade went perfectly. I can speculate on what it was... I think the upgrade does not remove all the older files but only installs some of the components since it did NOT need to be re-booted after the live upgrade to 10.6.1.... Anyway... After 3 days of pulling my hair out, I'm SOOOOOOOoooooooo happy!!!!!!!!

Solution for Disappearing Apple TV in iTunes under Devices

I have stumbled accross a weird but real solution to all of you that keep haveing the Apple TV disappear after 15 seconds or so.
I have no idea why this works but it is obviously a bug.
Here you go.
Start iTunes and when you see Apple TV appear under Devices, click it to see it start uploading your content.
Then very quicly open Preferences off the top menu and to to the Apple TV tab. Leave that window open. If you do , the load and sync continues and really works.
Once you shut the window the Apple TV sync will stop and will disappear under devices. This is an obvisou bug, but it works.

I have serious difficulty to understand what is the SAP offering for Mobile Sales solutions for SPA ERP 6.0. SAP is vague and just say there IS solution for R/3 (?).
My questions are in two directions:
1. About the "preconfigured" Mobile Sales offerings or xApps or whatever it is:
    - can we use SAP MSR 2.0 with ERP 6? If yes- are still the limitations described in Note OSS 735727 valid (use only with Microsoft PocketPC2003, PocketPC2003 SE and Win32 )

If I am not wrong you are talking about internet sales for R/3 when you say ERP internet sales, which is probably outdated by now. Nowadays SAP distributes something called as mySAP Business Suite which in brief is as follows:

Temporarily solution for ATI Mobility HD 3470 driver

I have found a temporarily solution for installing ATI Mobility HD 3470 driver, as shown following:
1) Disable Intel X4500 in BIOS;
2) Download a software named as driver genius and install it;
The software can be download at:

3) Run driver genius and select the item of driver update (the first button on software interface). In the software, this item is shown as "驱动更新" due to it is a Chinese version;
4) Select your display adapters from the hardware list shown soon;
5) Click the green button on the lower right corner to start updating and installing the driver automatically. The button is shown as "开始更新" in the software;
6) Reboot the laptop after the driver installing completed;
7) The ATI 3470 display adpater will be shown in device manager as "ATI mobility readon HD 3400 series" if the install is successful. After the operation the VISTA score can be update to be 4.7, while a score of 3.8 can be got for Intel X4500 display adapter.
When installing X4500 display adapter, the ATI 3470 adapter should be disabled in BIOS. Then you can update the driver for X4500 adapter following similar procedure for ATI driver installing.

SAP AutoID Infrastructure vs Sybase SUP Mobile based solutions for RFID???

I'm trying to come up to speed on the basics as we have projects going that have RFID, Barcode and mobile design implications. As mobile has evolved we're looking at some opportunities give the number of consumer level devices available. We know we won't be able to simply replace all existing (ruggedized, etc) devices but the oppertunity is there to do some new things, or old things with new devices. At the same time we have our existing RFID infrastructure (Not SAP AII). My question is... is there any overlap between an SAP AII infrastructure and Mobile Infrastructure? For example from what I gather an AII infrastructure typically has an RFID middleware for data management device monitoring, etc that is integrated with SAP AII. Sounds very similar to mobile architecture with a middleware piece taking care of decide management data integration & management etc. Kind of troubling to me that 2 pieces of heavy infrastructure are needed for these two scenarios. Oh and lets talk XMII also which we also have installed.
So just comming up the curve on all this. Is there any overlap here where RFID architecture could be handled by a good mobile design? I suspect any overlap is conceptual and the rub will be the device support.

I have been following SAP Mobility as well. These are my gathering.
SAP Sybase SUP - This is being recommended for heavy weight applications. There are additional components on the SUP layer as, Sybase Control Center and Afaria for monitoring and device management.
Project Gateway - This is being recommended for light weight application. It does not require any additional infrastructure, only software components to be added. I have not heard of any release date for this product. Conceptually it seems very good and based on the demo that was presented in Tech Ed 2011, the development was very simple as well.
ITS Mobile - This is integrated ITS in ECC. SAP console has been replaced with product. This is used mainly for the RF transactions in Warehouse Mgt. No additional infrastructure, some minimum configuration and ABAP development.
BI Mobile - This requires an additional infrastructure and software components to be added where by BI can interface with the mobile devices.
SAP Sybase have also built solutions for Workflow using the SUP platform.

Solution for worn mini-USB port? (charging connection unreliable)

I thought my battery was going bad, but just realized that my mini-USB port is apprently worn. When I plug in either my automobile cigarette lighter charger, or my regular plug-in charger, the charging connection is not reliable. Unless I position everything just right, the charging connection isn't made.
Has anyone else experienced this issue -- and hopefully found a solution for it (short of replacing the whole BlackBerry)?

IP mobility solution for a Data Centers

Hello guys
Please give me an advice.
Now I try to work out a networking solution for a two geo separated data centers (DCs).
Both the data centers will contain a virtualised server infrastructure (VMware).
Now the main design problem is to choose good solution for IP mobility and for the DCs interconnect. We need to have an ability of moving a VM machines both for maintanance and for disaster recovery between the DCs. And users must seamlessly without any advanced knowledge about routing be connected to the VM machines that were moved. For now the users work in 1100 different offices around the Ukraine country.
Yes I know a little about Cisco OTV, RHI and LISP solutions. But all this solutions require the top level switches and routers like Nexus 7000 and Cat 6500. And they are very costly.
Is there cheaper solution for the IP Mobility?
Maybe the NHRP protocol that is a part of the DMVPN could be a good solution?
Are there any features in NHRP or in other protocol for monitoring the health of a VM machine, customising and propagation the routing info in case of VM machine motion?

Required data from a legacy system(generate data only in the form of flat files)to SAP R3 as FB01 journals - use BDC for this thing because it will be better for large source files.
the output file should be generated periodically(daily,weekly,fortnightly etc) - if this output file contains acknowledgment for the data uploaded by the above process, create a ABAP report for it and schedule it..........but if this output contains some other IDOC data which you need to send as a file to a third-party system, then go for SAP XI provided the IDOC data is not too large... but if the IDOC size is huge, then just create a ABAP report for outputting data to a file on application server and FTP the file to third-party system.

It's not a Verizon reset - under General and phone there is a place to reset my password however I can't do it without cellular turned on.

Where do I find the upgrade for "My Verizon Mobile"?

I have used the "My Verizon Mobile" app since moving to Verizon using Samsung Galaxy SIII (Android). The app no longer works and says I have to upgrade when I try to run, but when I select upgrade, it comes back with an error that it can not locate. If I go to Google Play Store, it also no longer shows up.

Click on the Apple icon and select About this Mac.
From the new window, click on the gray 10.8.0 text to show the Build number. Click it again to show the Serial number.
