No sound from browsers on streaming

Hi everyone,
For some times now i can't have any sound from my browers,Safari,Firefox,Camino etc, any of them.
Every time i want to whatch something on the internet,(movie, song etc)i can't hear the sound...,i have to download it,if it's possible, and then i can hear it.
I've tried everything to bring it back, and now i'm desperate.
Before it was working well, i don't think it's a plug-in issue.
So, if someone could help, it would be much apreciated.
Thanks, Ben.
Ps: Here are the extra sound programs that i've installed which appear in my Systeme Preferences: Flip4Mac wmv, SoundFlower,AirFoil.

Check your Audio Midi Setup application. If the output is set for 96 kHz, drop it to 44.1 kHz. It sometimes resets itself after a software update causing some applications to not work.
If that's not the problem, try uninstalling each of your third party audio applications or disabling. Check with the developer where they store their files.

  • Sound from apps/radio/browsers clicks not working after IOS 8.3 update

aafter the new update 8.3 my iPad sounds are not working like "app games" "app news" " sound clicks from keyboard and browser, is someone else having problems with sounds, however, the speakers are working, I went to "music" and it is fine, sound from web browsers stream is fine or playback videos are all ok.
any ideas, I'm lost in this issue, besides the new update made my iPad faster, as well as, the wifi.
how can I contact apple support??. cant send even an email to this guys for an answer? My service tags are over.
thanks, community, I hope some one can advice me. also, I did unistall and install all my apps.

Check that the mute switch (top right side switch above volume control) is pushed up OR
pull up from the bottom of the screen to bring up control Center & make sure the bell with a line going through it  (mute) is not highlighted. It would only be there if the side switch is set to lock screen rotation.
Settings->Sounds->check the volume slider is up & that lock sounds & keyboard clicks are enabled.
If the first two don't work, try a general reset:
Settings->General->Reset->Reset All Settings.  You won't lose data but will have to log back into your wifi network(s)

  • Streaming all sound from ipad to mac mini

    Hi
I use several apps and sites on my ipad to look for and discover new music
Id like to find a way to stream all the sound from the ipad to my macmini, which is connected to my sound system
Is it possible and what do i need to do
    Thanks

you can do it wired by connecting a minijack cable from the headset connector of the ipad to the mic/line in on the mac mini
or you can look for some software which makes the mac act as a bluetooth speaker setup (A2DP) and connect  the ipad to it

Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the Music and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad above the volume switch, or via control centre : swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen and it's the right-most of the 5 icons in the middle of it (if the icon is white then it's 'on', tap it to turn it grey and 'off'). The function that isn't on the side switch is set via control centre instead : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4085

  • Cant stream video sound from ITunes to stereo via Airport Express

I'm using a PC with wireless (Centrino 802.11g) with Itunes (Latest release 7.0.0.70) and for some reason the sound from Itunes video will not stream wirelessly to my stereo connected to my AirPort Express.
When the video is embedded in an Itunes playlist of MP3s, the sound will work fine through the AirPort Express with the MP3 tracks, but will toggle over to the PC speakers for the video.
    Any ideas gratefully received?

Airtunes actually only support MP3/AAC audio streaming from iTunes. That's too bad for video.
The things is, even with other Airtunes streaming software, the streaming delay is such that the song will be off by a few second from the video. I guess Apple have choose to do not stream video sound until this may be resolve.
Therefore, I'm not aware of any solution to this issue.

  • Stream sound from Macbook Pro to another device?

So my headphone jack just half-died on me. I get full sound from the right ear, but the left one has little to no sound coming through. I've had headphone jack issues in the past with my macbook pro and they said I needed to replace the entire motherboard last time which was extremely expensive. My warranty has run out so doing that again would not be feasible, yet I really need the headphone jack to be working since much of my work is video/audio intensive. Is there any way I could stream audio to another device like my phone or something via bluetooth and plug headphones into that to get full sound in both ears? Or is there a fix to this issue that I don't know about? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!
    Macbook Pro 13-inch (early 2010)
2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    10 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
    OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)

You can stream audio via airtunes to an Airport express which has an analogue ouput jack, but it's line level and doesn't have a volume control, but you can use it as the source for a hifi.  You can get third party powered speakers which receive airtunes.  You can stream audio and video to an Apple TV but it only has an optical Tosslink audio out and audio and video out via hdmi.
You can also get sound out via USB to a an offboard D/A converter which in most cases would be line-level, though you could likely find asomething with a headphone output with a volume control.
If you look up the specs on your machine you might also find you have digital audio out via tosslink and the headphone jack which is misbehaving as the ports are combined on some models.  Then there is the mini display port which can in some cases output both sound and audio and you can get a long display port to hdmi cable a lot cheaper than an ATV.
But, while the headphone jack replacement involves a motherboard swap, in reality, what might have happened is that a solder joint for the socket on the motherbord has failed and simply resoldering the joint would fix the issue.  If the internals of the socket like a contact breaking or being damaged is the problem then the MB would likely need replacing given the cost of labour for a tech to source and replace the whole socket.

Were you able to contact Apple, about this issue, while under warranty?
If there is a hardware cause of the problem or other, they may fix it or
at least diagnose the underlying cause...

  • Can I stream the sound from a video running on my apple tv to my wireless speakers using airplay?

I have living room speakers connected to an airport express and available via airplay from my computer, ipad2 and iphone which is great for playing music. My question is, can I use those speakers to play sound from videos running on my apple tv? For instance if I use airplay to run a video on apple tv from my computer or iOS device, can I have the audio play on my speakers connected to an airport express? It would be amazing to be able to use the speakers simultaneously with the apple tv as they are both on the same home sharing network. Possible?

No. But, are your speakers only connected to the AE or are they also connected to an amplifier?
You would need to use a Toslink cable to go from the Apple TV to the speakers/amp.
I don't use this or know a lot about it, but it is wildly popular, inexpensive and may be of help:

  • How can I turn off the sound from the original midi  or audio tracks when I turned on the duplicate tracks for editing ?

How can I turn off the sound from the original midi or audio tracks when I edit or listen to the duplicate tracks in Logic Pro 9 ?
I'm using iMac desktop with Mac OS X Version 10.7.3. Pls advise.

    Dan,
It sounds like one of your preferences has changed.
Go to preferences > audio > general, and make sure "track mute/solo" is set to "CPU saving (slow response)". It is probably set to "Fast " at the moment.
This setting (fast) basically causes immediate muting from the channel strip while your song is in play. This is because the audio is still being read from the hard drive, but the channel strip is simply muted.... like a hardware mixer. When set to "CPU saving", the audio from that track, when muted, is actually stopped from streaming from the hard drive, but there is a couple second delay before the audio is actually muted.
One would think that the fast setting is generally preferable, except when you need to do what you are doing. The only way to keep duplicate copies of channel strips acting independent of one another is to leave this setting on the "CPU saving" setting.
    Hope that helps

  • How can I import video and sound from my sony camcorder?

I have just bought the mac.  I'm struggling to import video AND sound from my Sony DCR-SR87 hard disk handycam camcorder.  From what I've read already, I ended up purchasing and downloading Quicktime MPEG2, and used the Utility MPEG Component Lion from downloaded MPEG Streaming 1.9.3b6 to enable video and sound to play on the computer directly from the camcorder.  The problem is that when I import these clips using iphoto (it pops up when I connect the camcorder), the sound does not accompany the video onto the computer.  I've hit something of a brick wall and would really appreciate any help.

    OK, according to
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3290
your camera is supported by iMovie 9.  Perhaps the question is better asked in the iMovie forum.  Would you like me to ask a moderator to move the thread?

  • When I open a music in itunes got a message "connecting to apple tv" and got no sound from my mac

When I open a music in itunes got a message "connecting to apple tv" and got no sound from my mac.

AirPlay isn't anything to do with homesharing. (Home sharing lets you share the iTunes libraries on computers)
Basic AirPlay: Assuming both devices are on the same network and that AirPlay is not turned off on the Apple TV, then simply tap on the screen when you are watching content you wish to stream to your Apple TV, then tap the airplay icon that appears in the control bar, choose the Apple TV from the menu that appears.
Mirroring: When displaying the content you wish to mirror on the iPad 2 (or better), iPad Mini, iPhone 4S (or better), double tap the home button (quickly) and swipe the bottom row of apps to the right to reveal the playback controls, tap the AirPlay icon and select your Apple TV from the list of available devices.
Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
    Restart your router.
    Restart your mobile device.

  • HP Mini 110-1160SA problem recording sound from sound card

I am trying to record sound from the sound card itself rather than an external or internal microphone, using a free software called Sonarca Sound Recorder. For example, I play radio from the internet using the BBC Iplayer. I have Windows 7 Starter. When I use the Windows Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Manage Audio Devices, I get a window called Sound. I press the Recording tab, and get a choice of Internal Microphone, External Microphone, and Stereo Mix. According to my sound recorder software's documentation, I need to select that Stereo Mix, because it means "record whatever the sound card is playing". However, the Stereo Mix recording device, despite having a red tick mark next to it is "Currently Unavailable". How do I make it available?

to be honest, i am not sure about your problems, normally, you need to set stereo mix as default device, then using recording devices to record sound on windows 7. Since you cannot make it, why not insall a virtual sound device, it works like a real one, install this streaming music recorder on your system, start recording. Just test it out by yourself.

  • Macbook Pro recording sound from external radio

    Hi all,
Wondering if anyone can give me some advice on how I can record an external digital radio with my Macbook Pro. As a backgrounder, I am able to do it on my old white Macbook because it has a line-in port, so I just connect a 3.5mm cable from the radio to the Macbook and then I have software (Audio Hijack Pro) to hijack and record it.
However, as we all know, the new Macbook Pros have done away with the line-in port. And the Sound options in System Preferences don't seem to have a function allowing me to fiddle with the headphone port (apparently, earlier models had a function in System Preference that allowed you to turn the headphone port into line-in) but this new model doesn't have that option anywhere.
So I'm wondering if anyone can tell me whether the USB ports or even Thunderbolt can RECEIVE sound from an external device such as a digital radio. I have seen cables that are 3.5mm to USB so I think getting the cable to connect the radio to the Mac is possible, but will it actually receive the sound or just do nothing? Or is there some other way I can record an external device I'm not thinking of, bearing in mind I don't want to use the Mac's microphone to do it, as I will of course get all other ambient sound in the room at the time, and I don't want to rely on an internet stream of said radio.
    Thanks,
    Joe

What if it was a digital radio, would that make things easier by way of using just a 3.5mm to USB cable? Especially because a quick search of a USB Audio Interface brought up some expensive results.
Also, as a possible alternative, after some extensive research online, I've found an iMic USB Audio Device by Griffin that is essentially an adaptor with a USB cable on one end and a Line In port on the other, thus allowing me to connect a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable from the digital radio to the adapter, and then the adapter goes into the MBP USB port. It's on Amazon and it claims to function as a way to plug microphones and other external audio equipment to it. It seems pretty straightforward, which sometimes has me thinking it's too good to be true.
The output from your radio is analog, regardless of whether the radio is 'digital' or not.
You need a USB audio interface. The iMic is a USB audio interface.

  • When I closde a page where there has been a video, ie youtube or the like, the sound from that video that had played will continuw to run. I can close Firefox and upload it again and still will the sound of the video continuew to run. WHY?

When I close a youtube video or some other video and even after closing the tab the sound from the video continue to be played. As a matter of fact I have even closed Firefox and re-started Firefox and it plays again. I even went and turned off the computer and re-started the computer and then Firexox and the video sound was still there playing. WHY is this happening???.

Most YouTube content requires the Flash plugin. Sometimes it's necessary to uninstall then reinstall that plugin.
Uninstall the Flash plugin then reinstall new >  Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Very important to uninstall the currently installed plugin first.
Now launch Safari and try a video.
If you have the ClickToFlash extension installed, that can prevent Flash based video from streaming. It can also be installed as a plugin in /Library/Internet-Plug-Ins.
And check to see if Safari is running in 32 bit mode. Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info. If the box next to:  Open in 32 bit mode  is selected, deselect, quit then relaunch Safari.
You may also need to delete the cache associated with Safari .
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
    Type or copy/paste:   ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari
Click Go the move the Cache.db file from the com.apple.Safari folder to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari. Try a video.

  • Stereo sound from all speake

Hii, I have a X-Fi Xtreme music and a 5. speaker setup, can someone tell me how can I get stereo sound from all of my speakers? thanks in advance.

Hmmm, I don't have an X-Fi, but to answer your question the first thing someone needs to know is how you have your speakers connected. If, for example, you're running throgh a receiver you need to separately output each channel (using 3.5mm mini plug to RCA cables/converters you would buy at Radio Shack) to the external decoder of your receiver. Of course, in that insance, you would output the DD source stream from the optical out of the card through the optical in of the receiver; stereo playback would be from a 2. signal. I run both configs on mine. Now, if you're running computer speakers already plugged into the correct outputs of the sound card that's a different question, and it's one I can only relate from my experience with the Audigy 2 software.
