No Sound in Flash (Tried EVERYTHING to fix this)

Hello
I'm hoping that others have experienced this because I am at my wits end.
About a week ago I suddenly lost sound in my flash videos (youtube, megavideo, etc). I have scoured countless sites and not received an answer that resolved the issue.
Im using Windows 7 (64 bit) and I do not have sound on any of my browsers (IE, Firefox & Chrome).
I have updated flash, checked my registry, downloaded new audio codecs, uninstalled both firefox & chrome and NOTHING works.
If anyone else has had similar problems I would appreciate to know how they resolved the issue.

This is what worked for me.
1) go to youtube.com or any other place where you can select a video to watch which uses flash player 10.
2) when the video is playing with no sound and no control on increasing the sound or taking it out of mute do a CTRL+UP ARROW
3) you should by now have regained volume control using your mouse in flash player 10
it worked for me.. hope it works for you..

I tried everything in your reply,,, thank you again,, I had done that once before and all was working great,,
I have just now tried the Reinstall via iTunes, about 20 into the download, the iTunes logo on the phone disappeared, and the Apple Logo appeared again,,, I waited until the iTunes stated that the download had finished, and the install was in progress,,,
Nothing happened, still the Apple Logo was visual on the screen, iTunes never recognised the phone which it was on my iTunes account previously,,,
Still just a bunch of lines, maybe 5 or 6 so small writing,, I personally can not read what it is telling me, someone said it reads, incorrect shutdown,,,????????

1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.

IE wont play flash - tried everything

Internet Explorer suddenly refused to play flash files.
Just get a white box.
Tried using flashplayer unistaller and rebooting before
reinstalling the player.
Tried uninstalling IE and upgrading to 7.
Nothing.
Firefox flashplayer works fine as always.
I am designing a cd rom and need to test in IE as well.
I have a winXP sp2 duo core machine.
Please someone at adobe help me out here - do I have to
reinstall windows??

Try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose any data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches.

My phone no longer chimes when I have a new text message. Or, alternatively, it will chime when I unlock it, even if I received the message hours ago, but won't alert me when I actually receive the message for the first time. My software is updated, and all my notification sounds and alerts are on. After backing-up your data try a Factory Restore. also check whether the phone Firmware upto date ? You may check using the Nokia Suite .. If not you may update that or if already with the latest Firmware re-install the Firmware and try again ..

Neither myself (running on PC windows vista 32 bit) or my friend (on a mac) are able to install versions of iTunes around 10.5 or higher successfully. This leads me to believe the problem isn't necessarily with our computers and there may be something wrong elsewhere. I'm not a computer wiz but I have tried most of the advice on these forums e.g. Uninstalling and reinstalling, deleting temporary files, expanding files and trying individual downloads and more. I can install older versions of iTunes where they use to combine it with QuickTime with no problems however this is no good to me or my friend because only versions 10.5 and up come with support with iPhone 4S and that's what we need. I managed after several attempts to install iTunes 10.52 but without the apple mobile device so therefor the iTunes wouldn't connect to my phone or recognise it, apple sync notifier also has problems and fails to start.
Please can someone help me with this, I have tried everything on the apple troubleshooting pages so please don't link me those. Or please can iTunes and apple do something in an update that corrects this problem because I know many people are having similar issues. I only bought this phone for the music and at the moment I feel cheated because I wouldn't have these problems with any other phone because I'd just be able to drag and drop.

I had the same experience. I'm using a Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop, with Windows 7 Home Edition, 32 bit.
I tried to install iTunes 10.5 and it started installing, then, just before the end of the process, came up with the following error message:
"There is a problem with this Windows Installer Package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor."
Of course, no information on what the program that couldn't be run was! At first I tried the usual stuff, like scanning for viruses etc. but nothing doing. Then I started Googling. In the end, I uninstalled all Apple stuff from my computer. A lot of it I had to do manually, going in to the program files drive and deleting stuff from there, but some of it wouldn't delete as it was saying it was open in Windows Explorer. In the end, I managed to delete the iTunes folders by selecting one of my mp3 tracks saved on the computer and right clicking 'open with'. I then browsed my pc to locate the iTunes folders still outstanding and was able to right click and delete them that way.
Then emptied the recycle bin and did a restart before going online and downloading iTunes 10.5.
Thankfully it worked, but its taken me a good few hours and made me really quite tetchy! I've never had this problem before, so I hope this is going to be a one off.
One thing that doesn't seem to be working is that, despite how many times I tell it that my preference is for the iTunes Media folder to be located on my external hard drive, it keeps putting it back to the C drive! Didn't have that issue with the last version. Grrrrrr. Arrrrgggh.

Every time I play certain YouTube videos, it doesn't stream and it briefly crashes my internet connection. The only videos that play are the ones with advertisements behind them. I installed the latest Quicktime and Adobe Flash Player updates. Fix this?

Can anyone find a way to fix this? If not, then I'll have to send my MacBook Pro to the nearest Apple Store.

No Sound from iPod, Tried Everything

Any suggestions on what to do? About two weeks ago I would try to turn it on, got the green light, but no sound was coming out of it. (Trust me, it's not because I needed to turn the volume up
I've tried just about everything that there is to try. I'm using a 2.0 USB, so a slow USB port isn't the issue; Windows and iTunes recognizes the iPod. I've reset it many times; reformatted it, updated the iPod software, restored 3 times, reinstalled iTunes, and after all this it is still a no go.
Any other recommendations before I turn this in to get fixed/replaced?

I am having the same problem. I used itunes to put an audio book from audible on the shuffle, but the book will not play on the shuffle. I tried putting other things i.e. music from CD, music downloaded from itunes, none of it will play on the shuffle. When I press the play button the shuffle the green light comes on briefly (as long as the play button is depressed) and then goes out. No sound at all comes from the shuffle. When I plug the shuffle into the USB and look at what is on the shuffe using itunes, itunes shows the audio book and music are on the shuffle, when I press play using itunes, the music will play. I am completely frustrated! If anyone has answers please help!
