No sound to random movies/tv shows on netflix and iTunes..
This is weird. Some nextflix movies and tv shows will have no sound. Others will. Every now and then a box with text flashes on the screen for 2 seconds that says "An incompataible audio signal has been recieved. Change the output device audio settings to PCM." My Apple Tv2 is hooked up to my Sharp Aquos with HDMI, the same way it has been for the past year or so. Never had this problem before and have changed nothing. I have tried altering the settings on the Apple TV and my TV but to no avail. I have the latest update to itunes, apple tv ect.......

I just noticed that some of the movies I had in iTunes did not get transferred to the iPhone 5. The missing movies are shown as generic movie icons in the iTunes panel and are checked to select them. 1. iTunes won't offer cloud downloads for songs that it "thinks" are in your library, even if it "knows" the files are missing. If you've exhaustively searched for the missing files and there is no prospect of repair by restoring to them to their original locations, or connecting to new ones, then delete that tracks that display both the missing exclamation mark and are of media kind Purchased/Protected AAC audio file. Don't hide from iTunes in the cloud when asked, close iTunes, then reopen. You can download from the cloud links or iTunes Store > Quicklinks > Purchased > Music > Not on this computer > All songs > Download all.
2. Why? Not sure, perhaps 3rd party tools or accidental key presses combined with previously hidden warning messages when trying to organize the library. There is a hint that using the feature to downsample media as it is synced to a device may also be involved, though I've not replicated it. Whatever the reason a backup would protect your media.

I was in the middle of updated iOS7 onto my 4s then it crashed, tried to restore and backup and it wont power off restart it just shows a black screen.
Tried the tips
Does not recognise my phone as I updated Itunes to see if this would work and I have lost all my back ups and every thing,
when i try the power on butter and the home button I get the apple icon, then it shows power cord and itunes logo and then returns to a black screen, I can hear it beeping like when you put it on the charge each time this happens on my PC.

My ipod shows my charger and itunes, so i download itunes. But then itunes says i musst enter my passcode on my i pod but the charger and itunes symbols wont go away long enough for me to enter my passcode. what should i do?
Disabled
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode. -
I just got my a new iphone 4 from O2. i plugged in my phone to my computer(windows 7). itunes doesnt open automatically. when i opened the itunes,its still not detecting my phone. on the phone it only shows the cable and itunes logo. please help

Downloaded latest update version it finished but then said verifying. Had to unplug and now it shows charge symbol and itunes logo and that i must reset to factory settings. I can not do any anything else with phone. Will I lose my notes, pics, data etc? Or can an Apple store fix?
It's in recovery mode. If it wasn't backed up before you started, the information is already gone. There is nothing left on the phone at this point.

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My Ipods screen is stuck on the screen showing a usb and itunes symbol. I have reset it and still nothing. It does not show up on My Computer, or device manager or Itunes. I try to restore it on itunes and it gives the message that there is no ipod recognized or once it popped up that the ipod was passcode protected, I cant clear the screen to use the passcode. Help!
You'll need to connect the device to iTunes and restore it. If iTunes doesn't recognize the iPod still, try manually placing it in recovery mode first and then performing the restore in iTunes. See this article for instructions on putting the iPod into recovery mode.

My I phone is literally dead. I tried upgarding the software yestreday, it refused saying there was an error, I was given an option to restore it, it has failed. Now there is no old software as well as the new software. Its showing a plug and an Itunes signal on top. Thats all that it has. I will be very grateful to receive any form of help out there.
The iOs 5.1 is a huge file that needs to be dowloaded when updating/restoring, your phone hasnt completed the update so its now in recovery mode. Look on the left of itunes, it should say downloads under the store section with a spinning wheel, click that and youll see the update file with a time remaining, wait for that download to finish then try the restore again and it should work

I plugged my iphone in to do an update and it was mid way through the update when the phone was accidentally disconnected. Now the phone is stuck on the screen that shows a cable and the iTunes image suggesting the phone needs to be plugged in to iTunes. I have plugged it in, powered on and off, attempted to enter DFU mode numerous times all with no success. ITunes does not recognize the phone and I continue to only receive the screen saying I need to plug in to iTunes.. Please help!
Hold Sleep Button with Home Button toghether until it restarts Always it takes 8 to 15 seconds, after it restarts leave the sleep button and remember do not leave the home button it automaticlly switches to DFU mode.

The newest operating system on the iPhone has successfully confused Iphone users access to iTunes for communication and account issues. That is a new flaw to repair. I rented a movie. "The house I live in" that was advertised as the .99 movie of the week and iTunes billed me 4.99. If I had known that they would charge me that I would not have rented the movie. I feel that iTunes misrepresented the price and I cannot find the iTunes customer service system to address this.
