No sound when importing..need help urgent

ok im not sure if this is the right place, but i am borrowing a macbook from a friend so i can burn my recruitment tapes for soccer. im using imovie hd 6.o.3 (267.2). i have 90% of one game on one dvd and 10% on a different dvd. well thats not my problem, my problem is that there is no sound after i import them to edit to make one tape. I have tried importing through imovie and by ripping the dvd to my external hard drive first, then importing and still no sound. how can i get sound? also is there a way that i can burn the final dvd with my pc using nero 6 ot 7 or some other software? this way i can burn two dvds at once one with my pc and one with the laptop. if there is something im missing when im first importing please tell me. please help.

There are lot's of things about going from DVD to an editable file format
for eg. iMovie. I use Handbreak 0.7.1 but the best and simplest way is to
connect a miniDV Camera to a stand alone DVD player and copy.
This gives in my cases - best result
Easy to do
Easy to use the tapes in iMovie.

I have been trying this technique for the past 4 days. It doesnt work no matter how i change the password at the link that u gave me. Even though it's being reset accordingly, i am still unable to log in the password at my mobile. i am 100% sure that i have entered the correct password at my mobile. ( verify blackberry id) . I want to setup new email accounts under "setup" . Upon me clicking " email accounts", it prompt for the one key password. I have never faced this issue before. I am very very sure that my password is correct. Pls advise as i need to add email accounts. Other programs are working fine without any password required being prompt. ie. blackberry world

Sound trouble need help urgent please

Could somebody tell me how i can fix my problem.
problem: when my curve 8520 is in silence profile en i start typing in a phnoe number i hear nothing,
but when my phone is in normal profile i hear i beep with every number of the phone number i enter.
so i want to know how i can stop my bb from making this noise

If is a fillable form, just tab to the next field. What we do not understand from you is IF it is a fillable form or not. If it is not, then the 3 options I gave can be used. Placing text is always a problem. You might find it useful to turn on the grid to help in placing your typewriter fields. However, if it is fillable you do not have to create any fields to type in, you just leave the tool as the hand tool and select the predefined fields with the cursor or the tab key and type accordingly. If the field is a checkbox, then you just use the space key to activate it.
So, are we talking about a fillable form or something that has the appearance of a form, but not fields to fill in. This is what Bernd has been try to find out and you keep suggesting it is fillable as we read what you have said.

Need help urgently with OS X and Windows 7

I need help urgently.
I installed Windows 7 on my macbook pro with OS X Lion. After installing Windows7, I accidently converted the basic volumes to dynamic volumes and now i can't even boot to OS X.
Please help me how to recover my OS X Lion. If I have to delete Windows and bootcamp partitions, it is OK.
I just want to get back my OS X bootable.

The usual reason for the OSX partition to be invisible under these circumstances is that it has been trashed by Windows.

One reason that I sometimes get 'NoSuchMethodError' is when I make a change to a
java class that is imported into another java class. When I go to run the
importing class, it will throw a 'NoSuchMethodError' on any methods that I've
changed in the imported class. The solution is to recompile the importing class
with the changed classes in the classpath.

No sound when importing a mpeg 4

hey, proberbly a commen question but i just starting using imovie.
when i import the mpeg 4 file there videos fine but no sound.
do i need codec or qt pro something?
please help

There are LOTS of 'flavors' of mpg-4 files. Not all will work in iMovie/iDVD. However, USUALLY, if the file plays OK with the QuickTime player, it will work in the iApps.
Open one of the files in QuickTime and then select Window>Show Movie Info. What information is shown under Format?

Follow the steps listed below for Error 1604. Also, discard the .ipsw file, open iTunes and attempt to download the update again. See the steps under Advanced Steps > Rename, move, or delete the iOS software file (.ipsw) below for file locations.If you do not want to remove the IPSW in the original user, try restoring in a new administrator user. If the issue remains, Eliminate third-party security software conflicts.
Error 1604
This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, using a different dock connector to USB cable, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections. If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode,put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for the error.
When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while the device remains connected.
The device should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.

Dead bb curve 8520 SOS need help urgently

I am experiencing several major issues
1) my phone had been resetting itself a lot lately without reason and randomly. I then downgraded the OS from 5 to 4 then it continued to do the same so I did the removal of the vendor.xml file in the folder of my win 64 bit computer then the blackberry desktop manager, the BBSAK and the computer cannot find my phone. All it does is flash the LED several times in red and wont even restart or show some evidence of life. I have tried everything please help urgently!!!!!

Please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB):
With the battery inside, connect your BB to the wall charger
Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
Remove the battery
Wait 15 minutes
Insert the battery
Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
This has been known to "kick start" some BBs.
It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
Obtain a known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem.
Otherwise, please try this drastic method:

No sound when import mpg

I am trying to import a pile of mpgs to make a dvd out of but when i import one at a time or all of them, I get no sound.

iMovie is a video edit app meant to work with firewire connected miniDV camcorders
get for 20$ the Apple mpeg2 plugin in case you want to convert dvd content....
and for free the tool Streamclip for converting mp1/2/4, divx, avi, vob...
(with that combo you can NOT override copyprotection mechanisms! ... but you do know how...)

Audio not playing after import (need HELP asap please)

I cannot get my audio (mp3) to play sound after import. Looks like there has been many issues with the new Yosemite/imovie update. When will there be a fix? Can someone please tell me how to go back a to previous version of iMovie where this didn't happen?

When you get a chance, do a battery pull. When the red light goes away on the front of the phone, hold down the back button the entire time while the phone is booting up. When the boot is complete, the phone will enter safe mode.

Try to delete it from there and do another battery pull / reinstall.

No sound when importing from a Sony HDR-HC7

Hello all together,
I bought a new Sony HDR-HC7, the camera is fantastic. There is only one thing perplexing me: When importing HD-Clips into iMovie HD 6.0.3 I cannot hear the sound that was recorded by the camera. When I play the clips, I can hear sound. What could this be?
With my old Sony TVR 33 (no HDV) I don't have this problem.
Did I forget any settings?

I guess I would try the easy things first.
Make certain that " Video Play Through Camera " is
not enabled in imovie Preferences. That is
because it sends all audio through the FireWire port
and mutes it on the computer.
ake certain your video is 16-bit audio (not 12-bit).
Once you have imported (and saved) the video into
imovie, close imovie. Then unplug all firewire
devices (camera included).
Relaunch imovie. Is the audio there now?

thank you for your advice. As I use the German version I am not quite sure, if "Video Play Through Camera" is in the third tab of the iMovie-Prefs the fourth checkbox overarm? This one's unenabled. Audio is 16-bit.
Audio was alwas there in the play-mode but not in the import-mode.

No sound when importing mpg file

I have used several camcorders as sources for video clips. All of the clips can be imported to my Premiere Pro CS4. The problem I am having is that the mpg files from one of the cameras, when importing the clip, the video comes through fine, but the sound does not come through at all.

Is the problem MPEG file using MPEG audio or Dolby audio format?
