NoClassDefFoundError error when deploying a resource adapter rar file

Hi,
Iam trying to deploy a resource adapter(RA) rar file which uses orabpel.jar.
1. When i dont package the orabpel.jar along with the adapter, i get the following error during deployment

2. If i package the orabpel.jar file along with the RA, i get ClassCastException.
3. I tried including the imported-shared-libraries section in the packaged oc4j-ra.xml, but this gets overwritten as part of the deployment.
4. I removed the above class which gave NoClassDefFoundError and then tried deploying and got the following error

Currently i package orabpel.jar file along with the RA rar file, deploy, later go and modify the oc4j-ra.xml from application-deployments/... to include the imported-shared-libraries, remove the orabpel.jar from the connectors/BRMAdapter directory, restart the AS and it works
Iam using Oracle AS 10.1.3 as part of the SOA Suite.
Any help would be appreciated.

Found a soln, add the codesource to the j2ee instance application.xml
eg adding the following
<imported-shared-libraries>
<import-shared-library name="oracle.bpel.common"/>
</imported-shared-libraries>
solves the problem. Make sure the shared libraries are installed and is added to the instance server.xml
This is described in "Oracle® Containers for J2EE Developer’s Guide 10g (10.1.3.1.0)"
But not sure if the end customers need to be told to edit the configuration file manually.

Still the same issue, yes.
I have already logged an SR for this, but all is very quiet on that front.
One funny, is that this HOME was never attached to the orainst.loc, so I did it manually.
When I try and run opatch with lsinventory parm, it does not list any patches, although there are patches installed, if you look at $OH/.patch_storage.
Any idea of how I should attach this home correctly?

OSB Error in deploying a project with jca file adapter

Hi,
I am facing an issue where I am getting an error when deploying a service from Eclipse. I am using OSB/SOA 11.1.1.5 2 node cluster. I have an OSB service where I am writing to a file and am using file adapater. I created a composite with file adapter to write a file then imported .jac, .wsdl and composite into eclipse and generated a business service out of .jca file. When I deploy the project from eclipse I am getting the below error and am not able to deploy the project.

Deploying a resource adapter

Hello,
i have developed and successfully deployed a resource adapter. But as i went on developing i encountered some strange behaviour.
In the DeployTool that i used to deploy the adapter i have build the archives again and deployed the EAR to the WAS 640 successfully. But if i ran my Test coding against it, my changes have not be set online.
So i deleted the DeployProject and created a new one, that i deployed to the was640 and now my changes are online.
I have searched for a refresh button to load updated resources, but i could not find any. Did i miss anything in the DeployTool? Besides the DeployTool also comes up with some error messages like IOException, FileNotFound from a generated file *.mf!
Is it possible to deploy a resource adapter from within the NetWeaver Studio? Or anything else, that is more stabil?

Hi Christian,
Currently there's no straight-forward way to add a resource adapter (RAR) into an application project (EAR) in the NW Developer Studio. But you can build the JAR of the connector Java project, build the EAR for the application project (it can contain also the JAR of your EJB module project), then rename the connector JAR to RAR and add it manually to the EAR file, and modify the application.xml as you already did

(You don't have to use the alternative DD option.)
Then you can use any of the tools mentioned above to deploy the EAR. The simplest (and most reliable) way is via the J2EE telnet console, but you can also use the Admin Tool or the SDM GUI.

How do you package and deploy a resource adapter with a c++ library?

I am using Weblogic 8.1 and am trying to deploy a resource adapter that has a platform dependent c++ library. This has to be done from a script so I am using weblogic.Deployer. I am failing with a â€œjava.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError:â€ I understand that the library is not in java.library.path. I donâ€™t want to have to stop weblogic, set the lib path, restart weblogic, and then deploy. How can I accomplish this?

data by pointer. I have no idea what is supposed to be int he struct

and the array, you will need to swap the first bytes for the long

As I can see in your log, you're getting the exception
Caused by: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Lcom/sap/aii/af/service/auditlog/AuditMessageKey
May be you need to include aii_af_svc.jar (AuditLog classes are located into this JAR library) in your EAR archive.

but i am not inderstanding the solution, i found the same probleme in metalink, and the solution posted is:
1. Create an errorstack of the ORA-1882 to see the ALTER SESSION SET TIME_ZONE statement that is causing the ORA-1882 during deployment. To create this errorstack, follow step 1 to 4 below:
1. Just before you reproduce the error, open a SQL*Plus session with user SYSTEM.
SQL> alter system set events '1882 trace name ERRORSTACK level 3'
2. Deploy the mapping to reproduce the ORA-1882
3. Disable the system event
SQL> alter system set events '1882 trace name errorstack off';
4. Take a look at the errorstack (located in the udump directory). Suppose the following statement is in there:
ALTER SESSION SET TIME_ZONE = 'GMT+02:00'
2. Modify the run_service.sh(.bat) file as follow:
* For UNIX:
Modify owb_server_home/owb/bin/unix/run_service.sh as follows:
Add the parameter -Duser.timezone="+02:00" to the line where java is started (last line of run_service.sh)

but in creating the errorstack of the ORA-1882 i not found the ALTER SESSION SET TIME_ZONE
and i Modify the run_service i fixed -Duser.timezone="+01:00" cause the time zone here is Europe/Paris but there is no changes.
the db link is from Oracle 10.2.0.2.0 to 9.2.0.1.0. and owb 10g R2

Invalid change to class error when deploying EJB

We have EJBs that were built by Webgain Visual Cafe and successfully deploy
to WLS 5.1. We then use the WLE EJB Deployer Tool to build WLE container
classes and deploy the same EJBs in WLE 5.1.
One EJB does not deploy in WLE. The ULOG error message is:

Reason: database keeps a reference of the class in JAVA$CLASS$MD5$TABLE table. This table keeps a refrence to all java classes loaded in database, and is present in each schema you deploy classes. That's the reason why if you change the application module name, you can load this classes. It instead keeps a reference if you use DROP JAVA CLASS command to drop a java class from de database. Use DROP JAVA command to clear the reference of the dropped classes when dropping it.
You can see this table as a class dictionary of the database, and you don't have to handle this records manually.

I get the following error when trying to open a pdf file... '*pdf.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read". I am able to open pdf files in IE and other programs.

I am encountering the same problem -- though with .qfx files from my bank. This worked fine in Firefox 31 ESR, but since upgrading to Firefox 33.0, I get the "<name>.qfx.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read" when I attempt to download. (I should add that downloading PDF statements from the same site works fine, and that the qfx downloads work fine in IE and Chrome.)
I tried safe mode, it is still broken. Tried v34 beta, no luck. I reverted to version 31, it works again.
I guess I will stick with the older version until a solution is found...or just use an alternate browser to download my financial data.

Oracle OracleAS Web Cache 10.1.2.3.0, Build 10.1.2.3.0 080201 is writing events like this:
[alert 13215] I/O Error when writing access Log buffer to file. error number: 28
I've looked for this alert and i've found this description:
WXE-13215 I/O Error when writing access Log buffer to file. error number: %d
Severity: alert
Cause: I/O error happened when OracleAS Web Cache tried to write to the access log file.
Action: Check the status of access log file. For example, see if the disk is full
Anybody knows what "error number: 28" stands for? The logs are sended to other server and it seems that the disk size is ok.

I tested again...it seems LabVIEW doesn't like the way I wrote the measurement files. I attached a set of VIs (ZIP-file) to give you a clue how it was done. When I try to save and read a file containing just plain DBLs from a 1D-Array (see attached file generating VI) it works perfectly well for large file sizes.
So there might get something messed up by the way LabVIEW saved the measured data. You'll notice, that I (accidentally) left the "prepend array string size" input of "write to binary file" function unwired which means that the size information will be written as a type of header. Maybe this is the reason that it doesn't work as expected...

Error when deploying imported LCA when the same application already exisits.

Afternoon All,
We are getting errors when trying to deploy a newly imported LCA when the application was already running on the server.
Environment: ES2.5 All recent SP's and QF's applied. Windows 2k8 R2, MS SQL 2005
Details: We already had a deployed version of the application. I wanted to release a new cut of the application which I created a LCA from our dev server. I took the deployment and attempted to deploy to our training server which as mentioned did have a version of the code deployed. The message came up stating it found the application and that it would "overwrite" the currently deployed application. I proceed with a result of the application being successfully imported but failed on the deploy. So now I have a imported new application version however get errors when attempting to deploy. I have done some investigation on this issue and found nothing. Any direction would be nice

We are facing the same issue as mentioned above. Did you ever get this resolved? We are also Windows 2k8 R2, MS SQL 2005.
