juz now i 've found tat there r 2 new firmwares available for download .BUT it is only for other country!!my software updater oso shown tat my firmware now(4.18)is the newest..y we can't update our phone's firmware while ppl from other country can????

(1) Updates are phased in around the world because there are numerous regional variants, it is not just a single softwarfe for any particular model worldwide. Some regional variations may lag behind others.
(2) If the phone has operator-version software instead of standard Nokia software, Nokia must await the approval of the network before it may release updates.

Reasons why a phone cannot update:
1. It is a country variant - country variants often get the updates later, or have updates skipped altogether. A Turkish country variant product code for example, skipped v40 and updated from v31 straight to v50.
2. It is network branded - phones acquired from network providers or these providers' stores SIM free are branded, and will not get updates until the networks approve and modify the updates to their liking.
3. Special editions - These special editions are chartered editions and may never get updates unless taken to a Nokia Care center.

Nokia 5610 - unable to update

I have a nokia 5610 which currently has the firmware version 4.20
I have seen in the website that latest version is 4.81.
I installed the software updater. It identified my phone as 5610, but it is showing that no software updates are available on my fone.
My OS is vista ultimate.

maybe i should try re-installing the software again n again.
Few days back, my phone went off, and it didnt start again. I took it to the nokia care. He repaired it and told that it was a software glitch..

That suggests that the installer is getting damaged during the download.
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

Connection lost while update new firmware for E71

When I update new firmware for my E71 by OVI suite but after finished download and its step to prepare to install then it lost connection.
I restart my phone for many times, then it allowed us to process for next, when i click next then suddenly its disconnect USB, when wait for a few minutes then its allowed process next.
Mean that, its always disconnect USB when i click next to installing. please see attach file.
Please help me, what happen with this installing new firmware?

Not quite sure from your post whether E71 still functional upon previous firmware and just fails to update every time that you try; if that is the case it may be easier to find another PC.

You don't get OTA updates on the iPad until you are already running iOS 5 consequently, the Software Update feature will not appear in the settings until you do so.
You just posted from the website that had the instructions in it. Did you read them or just scroll down to the bottom and ask the question?

Can't update superdrive firmware on macbook

system is macbook aluminum 13" (before it was renamed to Pro).
my superdrive makes that annoying sound every time the mac starts, and I can't update the firmware.
the update is on the updates list, but when I try to preform the update it says "your computer's Superdrive is up to date" without actually updating. and still, the update is there on the available updates list.
same thing happned when I manually downloaded the 3.0 firmware from the apple website.

You can try to bypass the hardware check.

Can't connect to internet after updating new Firmware wrt54g Help please!

So i just updated my firmware on my wrt54g ver 2 router, went through all the steps it updated successfully after that i hit the reset button and unplugged the router as tehe online instructions said to. Now i can't connect to the interent at all with either of my two wired computers or through the wireless. All the lights on the front of the router are on like the power, internet, and wireless connectivity. Also the the two WAN ports my computers are connected to in the router the lights are on and it's recognising them. But I can't connect to the internet or even see the router on my network settings. Somone suggested to reconfigure the router but when i go to set up new connection my computer doesn't detect the router and also i cant connect to the router using the ip address 192.168.1.1/ since there is no internet connection. Is there a way to get to the router options or a way to revert it to its old firmware. Any help would be much appreciated. I should after updating the firmare the power button is contantly blinking.

I am having the exact same problem.. I have the same router and same version as well.. I followed the directions and upgraded the firmware. it said update successfull and then I reset it and power cycled it to find that my network no longer works and I cannot access the router..I've looked through all the troubleshooting guides and they do not help.. It says if you can't access the web based page then to use the TFTP utility to re-flash the router’s firmware but it seems it cannot make a connection to the router.. I've tried to ping it like it says to in the TFTP guide but it does not seem to be able to make a connection to the router.. I tried to access Management Mode to recover the router and resume the loading of the firmware upgrade but I can't get the Management Mode Firmware Upgrade page to open as well.. So what gives? I followed the directions but the only thing I seemed to accomplish was to brick my router.. Does anyone have a clue on how to go about fixing this problem? Any help is appreciated..

Nokia XM5130 can't update firmware

I can't update my frimware v6.94 to the latest version that I've seen in the web site, i think that update is v7.91. For more information, I did got the update the version v6.94 Over-The-Air. And now I can't update to the latest v7.91. I lived here in the Philippines.

Have you just tried OTA, or have also you tried NSU (nokia software updater) or Ovi suite?
If you have not, I would give NSU a shot!

Can't download new firmware

I can't download the new firmware 1.0.3 to my iPod nano 3, when i try to download it says "Itunes could not contact the iPod software update server because you are not connected to the Internet"
But I am connected to internet! I can purchase music and stuff in Itunes store.
How do i fix this?

This usually means you have hacked your iPhone - with "jailbreak" the cutsie term for hacking an iPhone.

Can not updated N97 firmware OTA

I'm currently running firmware 10.0.012 on a UK Vodafone N97, I've tried updating via Device Updates and SW update but the first tells me no updates are available and the second says Refershing Failed, try again later.
Can anyone tell me how to do this without connecting to a PC?

Unfortunately in the UK no updates have been released to th on device updater, which is a real shame.
Your only options are using a PC or get a nokia care point to update it for you (free whilst under warranty).
