Nokia 5800 Cable Connectivity

Dears
I have a Nokia 5800, the first time i used cable connectivity it works well. I updated the OS for my nokia phone to version 30.0.011, after that i can not use the cable.
any commebts helps will be appreciated

Check if resetting to factory default willl resolved the issue.

I do not know y my nokia 5800 keeps connecting to wifi every day...few times a day...
i have to manually disconnect the wifi but it will connect again later on....
i think it could be a virus or bug when i already set to manual connection for the search availability option...

Another culprit is Share Online. Even caught me out once... I came to the (obviously false) conclusion that some theme contained a form of malware and was doing naughty things, bit then remembered that I'd set share online to update automatically every 6 hours.

Nokia E66 Cable Connection Error

Hi,
Am Using Nokia E66-1(08) ( RM-343) with the firmware version 410.21.010
I have a problem with connecting my mobile to PC via cable. The cable is working fine. ( I have checked it by connecting the other mobiles)
When I connect the cable, It asks me to select the options such as "Mass Storage", "PC-Suite" etc. But once I select "PC-suite" from the available options, mobile doesn't get connected to the PC. I cannot see the USB connection symbol in the right top side of my mobile.
Can anyone help me on this.
Should I go for repairing the connection port of my mobile?
OR It mite work with a firmware update\re-installation ?
But again, is the cable connection port of my mobile not working? But it detects that cable is connected, because when I connect the cable, it asks for the type of connection I want to make...
Plzzzz help me out.

Nokia 5800 trouble connecting to windows 7/pc suit...

Hey guys, im a new member here and its good to meet all of you.
Lets get down to the nitty gritty..
HP Notebook that had Windows Vista 32 Bit(worked like a charm as a matter of fact..)
Then I bought and upgraded to Windows 7 Premium 64-Bit.
Hmm. Now My Nokia 5800 acts differently when connected to my pc. When I open up Nokia PC Suite, the 5800 icon isnt there! its replaced with some generic icon(this is actually all throughout my comp. Even when I open Windows Explorer, another generic icon is there..)
Next, I bring up "Nokia Content Copier" or SMS and the options say my phone isnt connected, even though in the start screen of PC Suite, it looks as if it is, generic icon and all..
Now I open up the "Install Applications" icon and it shows that NO PHONE is connected.
Now let me tell you all what else has happened.
Windows Update has apparently installed mtp(usb) files as well as a list of other things. I thought this would've helped the problem but nothing changed. So Windows tried installing stuff and although it did, the problem was never solved.
I need you guys help. Its like my phone is now a paperweight. Help!!!
P.S. OVI Suite doesnt work either..

Try uninstalling other components that are installed with Nokia PC Suite and Ovi, then begin anew,as well doing a registry cleanup (CCleaner)
Otherwise do a fresh repair or reinstall of Windows 7. i use Win 7 64 bit as well and it detects nokia 5800 by default with its own icon in "Devices & Printers"
I heard that you need to install the Suites first then you need to connect the phone somewhere, don't know if that makes any difference though.

have you checked via the settings of the 5800 and your car head unit's Bluetooth that it pairs automatically? my mother has a Nokia 2690 and it pairs up automatically with the car head unit's Bluetooth capabilities as soon as she starts the engine.

I have configured POP3 mailbox account, and after manual checking for new mail, GPRS connection keeps active even if I close my mailbox. Automatic retrieval and Notification is turned off.

Ok, it's realy strange, I tryed one more time, and now all is working properly: I can Connect/Disconnect, by closing mailbox with software key it promts for connection to break. The only thing I noticed that sometimes when I press red button, mailbox closes without promt for disconnection, connection keeps alive (main indicator), but if I open Messages there is no connection icon on on my mailbox as usualy in most cases by closing with red button. Anyway... it's working now.
I also found information, that there was also such kind of problem to others and another way to break connection is long press of red button.

Nokia 5800 XM connection problems

Hello. I updated the nokia pc suite today to version 7.1 and it stopped working with my nokia 5800 Xpressmusic. My phone works still as a mass memory and with the other USB modes EXCEPT pc suite, and I would very much like to have that working too.
When I connect it to my pc with the mass-memory mode on, and go to pc suite with my computer, it shows the phone as connected, until I start one of the applications in pc suite (any of them from the main window) it just tells me in the lower right corner that my 5800 is disconnected, and it's gone.
Anyone can help me please?

Nokia 5800 WiFi Connection and auto rotation probl...

can anyone tell if they have experienced this problem in their new 5800, the issue with my phone is that I cannot connect to any WIFi connection, it gives an error message and also the auto rotation function does not work. Only after giving it a really hard shake does it seems to respond otherwise it remains as it is. The phone also feels hot even though when not used.
Can any one help me, the phone is just 3 days old.

Thanks....now its sitting at nokia care with the promise that they want to change the mother board. Still waiting.....

When I come to connect my 5800 to my pc, I get a message saying that the USB device has become corrupted...whats strange is that it worked fine before I installed Nokia PC suite.
I want to get the latest software update for the phone, but can't because of this reason

Nokia 5800-cant connect to internet

hi i have a 5800 for few weeks now and internet used to work well.all of a sudden i cant connect anymore,tried different access point including wlan but still wont work and at times it seems to initiate browsing however it immediately stops and then the screen jam or froze.

im not really good @ gadgets but when i first used my 5800 everything seems straight forward.immediately i managed to connect to internet using "contract internet" as access point and with wlan,I only have to key in the WEP code of my linkys and it worked well.over last few days i've been enjoying browsing the internet using different access point.
since i had the problem yesterday i been scanning my phone setting to check if setting been altered but it hasnt,settings been the same since i boyght it.

When I connect my Nokia 5800 to PC with USB cable and try to send/recieve any data to/from it, the connection fails after 5-10s. All software form Nokia is affected. The latest PC Suite , Ovi Suite, drivers etc. are installed. With Bluetooth connection everithing is more or less OK but from time to time the phone asks for confirmarion to allow access from PC (despite the connection is already established). Looks like the problem with Connectivity Cable Driver (7.0.2.1) ...

kind of same problem here. I installed the PC Suite from the web. When I want to save my data (contacts, sms, settings) via Content Copier it stops after the contacts and I get a message "connection lost".
On the other hand if I use it as a mass storage I can transfer as long as I want.
SW-Version is: V 11.0.008
Special-Version:11.0.008.243.02
I wanted to upgrade the firmware but not before saving everything ... but that's not working.
Also software like the Communication Center do not update the data. I'm missing calender entrys, contacts cannot be manage, etc. The software tells me connection is established but well not 100%.

Need Help for connectivity USB Cable Nokia 5800 ca...

I really need help to solve my problems. I just bought nokia 5800 XM last week. I already installed the CD software in my windows XP, but it seems that PC cannot recognize the USB cables. I have plug in an unplugged... At firstime it detects my nokia 5800 XM, but when I open PC suite or OVI, it doesn't connect the USB cables into PC. I already install and uninstall The OVI suite but it is still the same, when I try it in OVI suite to detect my phones, it doesn't react.... I also have download from Nokia website to install manually Nokia USB cable driver for my cable type CA-101... it seems nothing works here... tell me what should I do? I don't think that the USB cable I bought is fake, it has original guarantee..... please desperately need help! Anybody?

When you plug the phone into the computer, ON THE PHONE it should ask you which mode to connect in, and you should select "PC Suite" mode. Does this happen?

after successfuly installing the Ovi suite for nokia 5800 it tells me the cable that came with it is not compatable.. it then tells me to put my phone into pc suite mode.. which i do, when prompted.. I am very upset that i am on line using my old and frustratingly LAME sony ericsson w910i.. I hate using it but need to be on line, HELP!

try repairign the pc connectivity solution on the pc
go to control panel > add/remove programs > PC connectivity solution > Repair
try connecting again after that
if it sitll does not work, try removing ovi suite and installing the pc suite application from http://www.nokia-asia.com/A4482316
