Nokia 5800 XpressMusic can't make video call

Hei...just bought a Nokia 5800. Everything seems fine except that whenever I tried to make a video call,
it says "video call not supported by network", even though I'm using a postpaid 3G SimCard. Does my hp
need some config done or is it something else? Pls help.

I think you already gave the answer yourself "video call not supported by network".
That means that either your network does not support video calls or in the area you were trying to make the call you had no 3G coverage. Is this possible?
By clicking the "Kudos!" or the "Solution?" button on the right you can say "Thank You" and you´ll show the author and others that the post is useful.

  • Can't make video calls to Canada from UK

I am old age pensioner, new to Skype, but have new Skype compliant TV and video camera. When I try to call Toronto in Canada (where part of my family have recently located) the call connects and immediately terminates with the message 'connection dropped due to network failure'.
I can make video calls to other members of my family in the UK with no difficulty. I also have high speed broadband.
    Any ideas?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

If it's only happening to that one contact then the issue may very well be on their end.    Their Internet speed, version, and router settings are a consideration.  You can pass this information along to them:
    1.  Make sure they are using the latest version of Skype.
    2.   Hopefully their Internet speed is ample.  For Skype to get the most out of that speed, you can suggest they place their computers's IP in the DMZ or their router or forward TCP/UDP ports 1024-65535.  Disabling the use of 80/443 and uPnP in the Skype client software (if the option exists) can resolve stability issues.  This can be done on your end as well to provide the most ideal conditions.
    3.  If they are going wireless have them try to go wired to see if anything changes.

  • Can't make video calls

Recently got an Xbox one and installed Skype.  I cannot, however, make any video calls.  Anytime I try it will ring, sit there for a few seconds, and then tell me the call failed.  It does this for all of my contacts.  If I try to call the same people on my iPad it works just fine.

Sorry to hear you're having these problems.
Are you able to call Echo sound test?

  • Can't make video calls from macbook air to iPad2

I'm trying to do video calls from my Macbook Air to my sister's iPad2. I am living in the Philippines and my sister is from Australia.
Is there any issues about its location? I tried to find a solution in Google then I found out we should change the dns server to 8.8.8.8, but unfortunately its not working at all.
    Any advise?
    Thanks

    You're welcome.
Assuming your sister's iPad is connected to an available wi-fi network as well, has she had problems doing a FaceTime call with anyone else in Australia or elsewhere?

  • Can iphone 4 make video calls using skype over 3g?

Hello, can i make video calls on iphone 4 using skype over 3g network?

Yes, Skype can make video calls over 3G. You do NOT need to jailbreak your phone. I believe the previous poster thought you were asking about FaceTime which does not work over 3G.

i'm still looking for solution, but if i there is no solution so i will throw My Own iPhone 4S in the nearest Trash.
(I had got a big problem and thanks for Nokia saved me. and if i don't care about apple products i will never send to you this, so kindly find solution or people in middle east will stop using iphone)

No clue why you cannot make video calls over your cellular operator... have you tried contacting them?
If you're referring to FaceTime, it is currently limited to Wi-Fi only.
Sending files via Bluetooth is not a supported feature of the iPhone or iOS.  A simple search of the web or these forums would have made that abundantly clear.
Threatening to throw away valuable items in these forums only serves to make you look less than intelligent.  No one here is an Apple employee, we are all users like yourself.  As such, we could care less what you do.  If you choose to be stupid, that's up to you.

  • Two EX90 devices can make video calls over Internet with No VCS-C and VCS-E

    Dear Experts;
I  have just started TelePresence and VCS 2 weeks before by going through cisco docs and videos and I had taken a risk of implementing the infrastructure elements.
We are now implementing Cisco Tele presence with VCS-C, VCS-E TMS,TCS,MCU and End points with  Jabber in One setup.
and in another setup CUCM 10.5,UCCX 10.5 IM&P,Jabber with some 10 agents.
Now the question is In our same building in 2nd floor we have one EX90 and in 5th Floor one EX90 and over LAN we can make video calls using IP address.
In the same way is it possible to make  a video call between 2 EX90 devices present in different location in the same city over Internet without the involvement of VCS-C and VCS-E.
    Appreciate your valuable reply.
    Regards
    Debashis

The simple answer to that is NO! Where is the EX90 registered to at the moment? Is it on the VCS? or CUCM

Not on an Apple device, no.
Things are not the way popular movies and TV shows would have one believe.
Apple goes to extremes to ensure your personal information remains protected, to a far greater extent than any other consumer product manufacturer on Earth.
Your FaceTime videos, Messages, and everything else you do with your iPhone are as secure as your iCloud credentials.
Anyone with your iCloud or Apple ID credentials has complete and unfettered access to everything associated with them, equal to that of your own, so keep them secure. Never divulge them to anyone you would not trust equally with your wallet, your girlfriend / boyfriend / spouse / child / Lamborghini etc.
