i bought my nokia c3 in mid october and i must say i am at the very least outraged by the product quality.Nokia has been reknowned for developing quality handsets but now i see a changing trend.
Barely three weeks after I had bought my C3 it's mouthpiece had a defect and for a whole day I could not talk to anyone though I was able to hear them,the phone'fixed' itself after 24 hrs.Recently while I was receiving a call it went off then on again after a minute or so,I ignored this till yesterday when after taking a picture it went off again and all my efforts to put it on failed.I am not a happy customer and this sentiment is shared by some of my friends who have purchased the same product.It is now at a Nokia service centre,let's see what'll happen!Beautiful concept wonderful product,poor delivery.

I know that service issues at home are frustrating mwhitehead. I'm sorry to hear you miss calls and voicemails from friends and family. Did we file a trouble-ticket for your issue? How is service when you step outside your home? Although, we can not guarantee service inside of your home or buildings we want to ensure service outside of your home & in other areas are working properly. I have the same problem with my iPhone. I set up a recurring calendar event for every Thursday. That event is no longer happening during the summer, so I went in and chose one from the current month and selected Delete. Then it gve me two choices, one of which was to Delete All Future Events of this one, and that's what I chose. I figured, this way, I'll still be able to see the ones from the past, but won't have to see (or hear the alert) for the future ones.
The following week, my phone alerted me to the appointment, and even showed it on the initial screen, even though it wasn't in the calendar. I went in to the calendar and NOTHING was scheduled for that day. So why is this happening?
So I set up a new recurring event, for in the past, then went in and deleted all furture occurances, and it did the same thing... still alerted to an event that was no longer in the calendar.
I hope somebody else has found a fix, or at least a reason for why this is happening.

My nokia 1020 goes off if I put it in my pocket.l

To cause Mail to display outgoing attachments as icons instead of in-line, you can open Terminal.app and insert this command:
defaults write com.apple.mail DisableInlineAttachmentViewing 1
To enable in-line attachments again once disabled (so attachments again appear as documents displayed in-line, not icons):
defaults write com.apple.mail DisableInlineAttachmentViewing 0

Poor Reception and Extremely Slow Internet

I switched from the G1 to the Blackberry 8900 and I like the 8900 more. The only problem is that the reception on the 8900 seems to a lot be worse than the G1's reception and the internet is really slow. When I used the G1, I didn't even use 3g because I wanted to conserve battery life. Even on edge, the 3g was about 10x faster than the Blackberry's internet. It's really unfortunate because I love the blackberry's pointer and the scolling on it. It makes links so much easier to click. Does anyone have the same problem?

yes im having the same problem and funny thing is i switched over from the g1 as well and i never was in the 3g area ...but im getting tons of dropped calls now and the internet is alot slower with the blackberry

Display goes off when close lid and open it again [Lenovo G580]

Hi everybody,
I have a problem due a new update, when I close laptop lid and open it again, there's nothing on screen (like power off laptop) and webcam's light is on! when turning on my laptop it would be on for a second, but it freeze on this state, I think the problem is with kernel but i'm not sure cause i've updated everything.
And this problem occur in both X and other tty.
I'm not sure it should belong here or I should move it Hardware/Kernel section.
Kernel: Linux GNU 3.14.0-4-ARCH
Xorg-server: 1.15.0-5
Nvidia: 334.21-4
everything is updated.

Display going off on linux terminals and session ends when kept ideal

Hi,
When I have logged onto linux server using tarantella.If the terminal is inactive for some time it is terminating my session automatically and i have all of my terminals as blank. I do not get any display in terminals opened. Could you please help me with this.
The following error message i am getting:
"Connection to Secure Global Desktop server has been terminated"

What I found out is, when a proxy Service is between client and SGD I had to reduce the keep alives to 30s.

Im sorry i was asking "Do I check that on my ipad or my router at home. I was confused on that part. Cause even if i update my firmware at home why does my IPAD still go in and out of a connection when im not at home. It never did this before and i thought when it first started happening it could have been my router at home that needed updating like u said. But i left out of town this weekend and i pay for the verizon wireless connection too. But the same thing was happening that it would stay online for 2 minutes and go off line for 1 minute. And this only happened after i upgrade my IPAD ive never had this problem before the download.

I use radio a lot and can share your experience. Old phones were ok, but N97 is not working well at all. I have just been waiting for the fw updates, hopefully they will solve also this problem.

Bb going off frequently

hi i have a problem with my bb. it is getting switched off occasionally and when i try to switch in on it doesnt, unless i plug it on to the charger. even when the battery is fully charger it shows the 'x' icon when it goes off by itself.. and the going off thingy is happening more frequently now. what do i do??

The problem may be within your Battery ! Have you try to use another BlackBerry battery. If you can manage or barrow a good battery from any of your friend then try it on your device to see the results.

Toshiba 32BL502B - TV sound keeps going off

I have a Toshiba 32BL502B 32-inch Widescreen HD Ready LED TV and the sound keeps going off. Informed Toshiba and they informed me that it needs a software update. They sent out the dongle with the so called update on it and I followed the instructions many times and it didnt work. Informed Toshiba and they said it needed repairing at a approved centre. Now, the TV is only 2 years old so it should not need repairing. It is not on 24/7, just a few hours per day.
I have to keep a fan on the TV and it seems to solve the problem. So there is a cooling issue somewhere. Are Toshiba going to accept there is a problem with their product? I doubt it very much. This is the 2nd one I've had, the first had to be sent back due to not switching on at all. Now, when this one needs replacing, which I reckon could be very soon, I will not be getting another Toshiba.
Others may not be affected but just wanted to share this so please be warned.

All what we buy today are mass products and most of them works well but some of us have bad luck and get product that show some hardware failure and dont work properly, mostly when warranty is expired.
I hope Toshiba service will fix your TV and everything will be OK again.

Nokia N8. Screen going off at random times after B...

I had belle for few weeks on my n8 now and I noticed very annoying issue. At completely random times screen goes off. It is not going off per settings. I have to lock the screen and then unlock it or else there is no response by touching it. I could be browsing web or checking email and it will go dark, it is not because of lack of activity.
Any help ?

Have tried performing a soft reset or hard reset on the phone to see if it was a bad install?
To do Soft reset: Enter *#7780# into your phone's keypad
Note: this will not delete any data from the device.
To do a Hard reset: Enter *#7370#
Note: You will need to back up your data before you do this because it will erase all data from the phone.
If this still does not fix your problem, you may have to take the device into a Nokia Care Point for further inspection.

My iPhone 4S won't let me send any text messages, I can see the recent ones but when I go to type back the screen goes off and it goes back to the home screen?

I have had my iPhone 4S for a while and it's worked perfectly. Messages were going through fine and everything. I went on this morning as I had a text from someone. I opened the text and the screen just went back to the homepage. It has never done this before so I tried opening it again. The same happened again. I opened a recent text and I can read the old messages fine, it's just as soon as I click to message/text them back it just goes off.
I tried with Facebook mailing and the same happens, it just goes off. And when I go on safari and try and type something in it goes off.
I don't know what to do. I have tried turning it off and on and that didn't work. I have tried resetting network connections and I just don't know what to do. I am currently trying to software update to the iOS 7.0.4 to see if that has anything do with it. As before I clicked to text the person back a carrier question came up and it has come up before, could that have something to do with it?
Please can you help me?

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore. Try each of these in order until the issue goes away.
