  • Nokia internet radio - unwelcome guest

I installed the Nokia internet radio app on my N82, but it couldn't access any radio stations so I tried to remove it using the Applications Manager. It failed to remove it completely, and there is a folder called Resource on my memory card that I can't get rid of now - every time I try to delete the folder or any files in it, I get an error -46 message. I've tried in Nokia Multimedia Transfer and in Y-Browser. The permissions are not locked/hidden/system, it just won't touch those files. Any ideas?

Have you tried to re-install the application? This might fix any problems from the initial installation.
Possibley this will make the app work or depending on how you feel might allow you to un-install it succesfully afterwards.
Only other hope would be a formatting of the phone or memory card depending on where you installed the app.

  • X6 Internet Radio App

Does anyone know when of if the Internet Radio App for phones like the N95 will be made for the X6?
I recently got offered a few phones as part of a Cap + New Ph deal with a provider. The models ranged from slightly old to the new X6. I know "tunewiki" is available but it's not as friendly as the Nokia App itself!
Come on Nokia people please please release the Nokia Internet Radio App for the X6! I run an internet station it's a major tool for me.

This is finally out and available on the Ovi Store.

  • Nokia Internet Radio Error: Connection Timed Out. ...

    Hi,
I'm having an issue with the Nokia Internet Radio application on the Nokia N95. The app launches ok but if I try and browse the station directory or perform a search I get the error 'Connection Timed Out. Try Again' This happens almost instantly i.e. it doesn't look like it's even trying to connect. If I go to the shoutcast site and click on the 'Tune In' button next to a station the Internet radio app launches and I get an error saying 'General: System Error' and the application closes then goes back to the browser and a message saying 'Web: No Gateway Reply' The application worked fine up until recently. I upgraded to FW V 21.0.016 and hasn't worked since so it may be that this has caused the problem. I've removed and re-downloaded \ re-installed the software but still get the same issue. Web browsing works fine, so I know my internet settings are fine, and the old open-source version of the radio player even works so it's just an issue with this app. Any advice on how to fix it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I had the same problem and I fixed it.  For me, it was because I am on the Rogers network in Canada.  Regardless of where you are many cellular neworks use firewalls and something called NAT (Network Address Translation).  Nokia should really make people aware of this because probably 50% of people around the world have this problem.  The solution for me was to use Rogers VPN or Public IP to access the internet.  Rogers blocks access to this internet connection so you have to add the service to your account for $10 per month but I have heard that other carriers like FIDO have not blocked access to it.
On the Nokia n79 this requires creating a new access point under TOOLS>SETTINGS>CONNECTIONS>DESTINATIONS.  Add a new access point with the following settings:
Connection Name: Rogers VPN (or whatever you want to call it)
    Data Bearer: Packet Data
    Access Point Name: vpn.com
    User Name: wapuser1
    Prompt Password: No
    Password: wapuser
    Authenticaiton: Normal
    Homepage: None
Use Access Point: After Confirmation (or change if you want something else)
That's it. When you load the internet radio Application and it lists your options select "Rogers VPN".  If you don't see it in the list, press the soft button for Options then "Select Access Point" and you will see the full list.  If you want the VPN to be the first thing you see you can change the priority under destination settings.  Just select the VPN and press "Organize" then "Change priority".

  • Still no Nokia Internet Radio for N97?!

In order to listen to Internet radio, like I always do with my N96, I have to purchase the JoikuSpot so that my N97 can become a Wi-Fi hotspot.  And then I have to use my old N96 to connect to my N97 via Wi-Fi and listen to Internet radio using the N96.  A temporary solution, I am OK with it.  But this long wait is getting silly.  And there ain't any other alternatives in the OVI Store either.  No, not in firmware version 20.  I hope Nokia can release a timeline or even a statement if and when, if or not Nokia Internet Radio will appear in N97 (and other touchscreen phones).
And no, the version in OVI Store supposedly for the N97 cannot be installed.

I m jus converting my files from WMA and M4A to M3, because Jukebox is supporting just MP3, AAC* and OGG music formats.
But it has got an Internet Radio.

  • Nokia Internet Radio - list of stations

The Internet Radio app for s60.3.2 has a list, provided by a Nokia server, that can display stations by genre, country, etc. and can also be searched. It is VERY outdated (much more so than the corresponding database for podcast search) and I'm wondering if there might be an alternate service. If so, how does one access the URL for the radio search server?

Hi, peterkstar1. We appreciate the interest for the app. Have you tried using MixRadio? This is provided the app is supported in your country.
For the list of the countries supported, see this: http://www.nokia.com/us-en/support/faq/?action=singleTopic&topic=FA139758
If the said app is supported in your country, you may download it from here: http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/store/app/nokia-mixradio/f5874252-1f04-4c3f-a335-4fa3b7b85329 or just go to Store > Nokia Collection on your phone.
For more info regarding the service, you may refer to this link: http://www.nokia.com/us-en/apps/app/mixradio/

  • Nokia Internet Radio playlist file support

Why not support in future releases of Nokia internet Radio playlist files as .pls or .m3u? NIR is an awesome app but it lacks this great feature in my opinion. For example all BBC radio channels have a high quality AAC stream but the dynamic url is in a .pls file http://bbc.co.uk/radio/listen/live/r1_aaclca.pls
    Please consider this option.
    Thank you

I'll second that. I can only get BBC Radio 4 on Yourmuze.fm, which uses the player and won't allow anything else to run at the same time.
When I listen to BBC Worldservice I can make notes as I listen and/or go to relevant websites while listening, but not with R4.

  • Nokia Internet Radio problems on 5800 XM

I have a 5800 XM and downloaded Nokia Internet Radio from the Ovi store straight into my phone last night. I had a good first-time experience with it with no problems met. However, I have experienced several problems just within this morning alone.
    1) I was unable to open Internet Radio. Each time I click on its app icon, it fails to open.
I have restarted my phone, uninstalled and re-installed Internet Radio several times, only to finally access it after about five full attempts.
    2) This was, however, not without encountering the error message of 'No network connectivity' numerous times albeit an active connection.
Although, Internet Radio did finally prompt me to connect and I could use Internet Radio.
    3) However, after searching a station and favourite-ing it, I was unable to access the search function.
So I decided to restart Internet Radio but to no avail -- I still could not search for radio stations manually.
    4) After restarting my phone in the hopes of remedying the issue, I am once again unable to open Internet Radio at all.
Does anyone know why all these errors occur? Is there anyway to bypass them?
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance.

I have problem too. After updating with the new 2.02 version i can't listen nothing. When i choose some region or station i recive Loading and then Time-out. I use my WLAN like before. With the oldest version of Nokia Internet Radio i don't have any problems. Please help me,how can i install the previous version? Can you give me some link where i can download the old version. Thanks in advance for the help!

  • I just installed iOS 7.1 - where is the iTunes Internet radio app?

I just installed iOS 7.1 - where is the iTunes Internet radio app?

There is no separate app. It's included in the 'Music' app if Radio is available in your country (only US and Australia at this moment).
If it is available in your country then open the Music app and select the Radio tab as described on the Apple website. If it is available in your country but don't seem Radio in the Music app then do this.
