  • Nokia Suite Installation failed!!!!

Hi I am trying to install Nokia suite!! But as i start it ! I get an error " Problem With the installation file".Plz help me what is this error?? I am already using Nokia pc suite and having windows xp sp3 and using x6.

    Hi samurai307,
I can see this is your first post so let me welcome you the Nokia discussion forums.
There are currently three workarounds available towards the solution of this problem:
    1.      Download/update the Windows Media Player 11
    2.      The installation problem can be because some  .dll  files have been missing in Windows XP. Download Update for Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 from
    http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?amp;amp;displaylang=en&id=2292
    3.      Please go here: http://www.verisign.com/support/verisign-intermediate-ca/code-signing-intermediate/index.html to update your Intermediate CA certificates.
You will see 2 boxes with garbled text - one primary and one secondary. Please copy and paste the text each into a text file using a text editor such as notepad. Then save those files with a .cer extension, and then import those certificates into Windows by right clicking on those .cer files and selecting Install Certificate from the menu. Then follow all the defaults.
    Kindly follow the URL too.
    http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=27771
If the above doesn't help have a look at this thread:

  • E71 Using Nokia Suite to connect to the internet

This may be a Nokia Suite problem but the first time I add my E71, via Bluetooth, to Nokia Suite I can use the phone to connect to the internet successfully.
After I shut my PC down and reboot the connection will not work, Nokia Suite tells be that it "Cannot establish a network connection".
The cure is that every time I wish to use I have to remove the phone from Nokia Suite then add it in again.
This is a laborious process and should be totally unnecessary.
I'm using Windows 7, the laciest version of Nokia Suite, have the latest software on my E71 & all the latest drivers, Bluetooth etc, installed.
In functional terms it seems after that initial use something is not getting 'released' or 'reset' properly.
Nokia please help me why your software is not working.

  • N8 Belle refresh: Nokia Suite Backup has problems ...

Since I installed the Belle refresh on my N8 the backup of Nokia Suite 3.5.34 has difficulties to safe Documents.
Only after restarting the N8, the backup works.I assume some documents are locked. This was never a problem before.
What are these documents and where are they located in the N8. I have not created any documents myself.

Having sold my Lumia I bought 808 PureView, owned previously N8. In my view, Symbian Belle is a great system, much better than Windows Phone and you do not need to sacrifice your privacy as much as with WP. The only one thing I wish Nokia could improve, is the speed of reading emails, web browsing and installation of apps from Ovi Store. I do not know why it still so slow as 808 PureView has double fast processor clock compared to N8?
And unfortunately 808 PureView still has a bug they introduced with Symbian Belle - bluetooth connection with some hands-free car devices do not work correctly, eg. with Bury CC9045 V04. You do not hear the first incoming call, need to drop it and wait for a second call.
Apart from above, it is a great phone!

  • Nokia Suite version 3.4.49 install problems

HI - I wonder if someone can help at all please?
I'm trying to install Nokia Suite version 3.4.49 on a new Win XP laptop (no previous install of the Nokia Suite on this laptop) - which I initially had a problem as the installer appeared to hang for more than 24 hours.
I found a previous solution which suggested there was a missing DLL, and could be resolved by installing Windows Media Player 11 - the install now appears to get to 100% (on the progress bar), though the message still shows the text 'Installing Nokia Suite, this may take a few minutes'.
The right hand panel continues to refresh with the features and description content.
Are there any logfiles I can check or use to help diagnose this?
    Many thanks
    Kevin

    Go to Solution.

I have managed to download 3.5.14 Beta, and the installer gets to a similar point (firstly to report that an installation is suspended, and did I want to undo the changes made previously? To which I responded yes, but the new install of the 3.5.14B version is approx 50% and not making additional progress :-(
I've restarted, run a couple of registry cleans/checks etc but still not able to install Nokia Suite (I've also uninstalled all other Nokia apps too) - so now I have none at all.

  • Problem to synchronize C7-00 and Nokia Suite

    Hi,
I have a C7-00 for 18 months with no major problems.
I synchronized it with the MSOutlook on my PC through Nokia Ovi Suite - Calendar, Tasks, Messages, Photos with no problems.
Few days ago I got a message on my phone to install the new phone software, and I did it.
    Now I have a C7-00 with Symbian Anna 022.014.277.04 installed on 5 Dec 2011.
Many things are looking different than before.
And I also upgraded my Nokia Ovi Suite to latest Nokia Suite - version 3.2.100.
And the syncing stopped to work. I get a warning that some calendar tasks are not synced, but actually, no one is synced.
Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi PMar,
Welcome to the Nokia Discussions support forum! If syncing all other content works, but only calendar fails, then find these files from your pc:
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\SCANPST.EXE
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\SCANOST.EXE
Right click with mouse and select "run".
you should take a back- up of the Outlook folders to avoid any loss of information.
You can also try to do manual sync and see if it works:
Select Sync > Sync option, and uncheck all automatic sync options.
Then select Sync > Sync now > Contact, Calendar& tasks, Messages or Notes one by one individually.
If the issue still persists, reinstall Nokia Suite. Go to add/remove application in Windows > Delete Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver, Nokia Suite and Nokia PC Connectivity Solution.
Then download the Nokia Suite from this link. Save to your pc, don't click "Run". Open the installer and follow the installation wizard.
Hope you get the sync working again!

  • Updating problems wit Nokia Suite 3.2.100

    Hi people.
My current firmware on the phone is: 200.21.012, RM-450, Nokia E63-3 (253.05)
Nokia Suite tells me there is an update for this phone but when i get to the stage of: 'Preparing to download'
    It says:
    Something's gone wrong.
There was a problem with Nokia suite. Please restart the program and try again. If the problem doesn't go away, uinstall Nokia Suite and download the latest version of the app from www.nokia.com/ovisuite. Error code: 12017
Anyway this is the latest version (currently available)
I have uninstalled it throughly removing EVERYTHING containing to word 'Nokia' from the registry.
Yet still i am getting this error.
Have already tried this method too:
    http://europe.nokia.com/search?qt=12017&np=other,products,services&cat=support&fullcontent=true&cnt=...
    No luck!
Is anyone able to help me?
    Thanks.

I finally have had my e63-3 RM450 product code (0583677 - Three Network Australia) updated from 200.21.012 (253.05) to system 411.21.001 (253.07). This was done at the Nokia Care Centre in Melbourne under warranty .
I was unable to upgrade using Nokia Suite 3.2 - even though it identified the correct 411.21.001 update as required. Nokia Suite mis-identified the phone as an RM-437 rather than an RM-450. I supplied the logs to Nokia Suite feedback and noted that I had SIM unlocked the phone from the Three Network.  Nokia Suite feedback's  response was to accuse me of flashing the phone with a new product code as part of the unlocking process - thus causing Nokia Suite to confuse the RM450 with a RM 437. In response I advised them that the phone had been unlocked using a code supplied by the Network operator Three/Vodafone Australia. I then attended the Nokia Care Centre in Melbourne to ensure that the phone carried the product code on the sticker - which it did. I provided the Nokia Care Centre with the email correspondence with Nokia Suite Feedback and the Melbourne team agreed to update the software under warranty.
There are later software updates available for the Nokia e63-3 - but these do not yet have Three/Vodafone Australia authorisation. That is an argument to take up with the Network owner who controls the authorisation of firmware updates for product code 0583677.
I note that the latest Nokia Suite 3.3.86 still misidentifies the phone as an RM437 instead of an RM 450.
On a final note - once updated to 411.21.001 - Skype would no longer automatically install from the website - it simply said Skype  was not available for this handset. However, manual installation of  Skype 1.5 was possible using the non-touch version for Symbian and works well.
Nokia Suite continues to have a problem with this model of phone.
For the record and anyone else who has this problem.

And about the ignoring thing, I ignored them because if I abort, the installation will fail and exit and otherwise I click retry, nothing will happen at all except the error will come back again. Just wanted to show you all the errors.

Well, when I did the permission things, It said I will have to reinstall the Nokia Suite installer again. I already had installed Nokia Suite from the official site before. So I had this one installed from another site, and it was in a .rar format. So I deleted the folder and extracted the .rar file again and in this way I didn't have to install another one. Installing another one would take huge time, it's 101 MB! You can tell me if it's confusing you .

    postbantania,
    Welcome to Nokia Discussions!
This error code usually appears if the .NET framework components are missing or corrupted.
    To fix this:
    1. Go to Start> Control Panel
    2. Click Programs and Features> Uninstall a program
3 . Uninstall the following present installations of Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1, Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0, Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5, Microsoft .NET Framework 4, Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5
    4. Restart the computer and log back.
    5. Download the latest .NET Framework installer here http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653 and get the earlier version if you have programs that are dependent on old .NET versions http://www.microsoft.com/net/download/earlier-versions and install.
    6. Restart the computer, re-install Nokia Suite.
    Good luck

  • Nokia Suite and Nokia 701 Cable Driver Problems

Hi, I just bought a Nokia 701, and so far I love it, the only real problem I have is that I can't connect it with Nokia Suite through the provided cable, because the driver never get installed properly, everything OBEX fails to install.
So the only real way I can fully connect my Nokia 701 with Nokia Suite is via Bluetooth, but the speeds are dramatically slower. So I'd like to know if there are others having this problem or if I'm the only one. And in case this problem is already known, will there be a solution for it soon?
I also have a Nokia 5800 ExpressMusic and it has the same problem for ages. And it has never been solved, which I think it's pretty bad in a company the size of Nokia.
Just to clarify I'm using Windows 7 at 64 bits, and the latest version of Nokia Suite (3.3), and I'm trying to connect a Nokia 701 and a Nokia 5800, and both get driver incompatibilities that can't be resolved by the automatic Windows 7 search, and can't be resolved by searching for it manually with Windows Update, Windows Compatibility Site says that Nokia 5800 ExpressMusic should be 100% compatible, but, maybe because of the fact that Nokia 701 is relatively new, there is no information on the Windows Compatibility Site, about the device.
Please help me with this problem, it's very important for me to be able to connect both my cellphones via cable to the Nokia Suite application.
A preemptive thank you for all your help.

Hey Sevennikke7, Welcome to the Nokia Forums.
To fix the problem, try the following solutions:
disconnect the USB cable and connect it again.
If you use a USB hub, try connecting the phone directly to the computer.
If you use a USB hub with an external power source, make sure that it has been switched on.
Check the USB cable for problems and replace if necessary.
If your phone asks you for the connection mode that you want to use, make sure that you select Nokia Suite(or PC Suite) on your phone.
Disconnect the cable, restart the computer, and try again.
Keep in mind that if you remove USB devices without using the Safely Remove Hardware tool in the Windows taskbar, connection problems may appear.
Go to Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel (called Programs and Features in Microsoft Windows 7).
Select Nokia Suite in the list of applications and click Change/Remove.
In the dialog that appears, choose Repair.Nokia Suite then check that all the needed files are intact and repairs any errors that were found.
Control Panel > Programs > Programs & features > Nokia Connectivity cable driver, right click and Change/Repair
Try go Control Panel > View Devices > Remove your device profiles and reinstall them.
As both devices cannot connect to your computer I believe it is a problem with drivers inside your PC.
I hope this helps and you manage to resolve your issue. Please get back to me if your problem persists.

  • C5-00, Nokia Suite maps download problem

I have Nokia C5-00 mobile with the most resent software installed and Win7 ultimate with Nokia Suite 3.6.36. When I start to load the maps of different countries and 2 or 3 of the maps are completed I always get the massage that first I have to connect my phone. And then if I reconnect my phone, or I can download one more map, or immediately I get the same massage to connect my phone. Sometimes during the download of a map before it’s completed I get this massage, and then no matter what I do, restarting the Nokia Suite or reconnecting my phone I cannot download this map anymore, I get immediately the massage to connect my phone. I don’t know if there is any possibility of downloading the maps on my computer and then manually copy them on my phone?

    @SzKSz
It is possible to manually download map data and decompress the .zip files. Here are some links for latest 00.01.29.100 series of maps for use with your C5-00:http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Maps-Navigation-and-GPS/Map-Series-00-01-29-100/m-p/1639304/highligh...
