Nokia x6 Facebook App

Hi, Just got my X6 couple weeks ago with Facebook already installed.. having used this on a regular basis it seems to have crashed the screen froze up and my phone wouldn't work without removing the battery turning off etc..
Since then i have removed the app that was already installed and tried to re-install the facebook app from the ovi store with no luck??
How and where from (download link) can i get this app back on my phone..?

OK... I have got facebook reinstalled on my X6 16GB...
You need to install the lastest version of Nokia PC Suite (Not OVI Suite).
Connect phone via USB cable and also have the phone charging via the mains charger...
Backup you phone..
Download the facebook app from...

file is Facebook v1.00 (7100) S60V5.sisx
Then using the Install applications option from Nokia PC Suite
select the .sisx file that you just download on the left hand box, click on the arrow between the two boxes to move the .sisx file to the right...
The install will start and then tell you to continue the install on the phone..
follow the phone onscreen instructions and facebook will be reinstalled....

Nokia 5800 Facebook app saving all thumbnails to m...

Hi Guys,
Whenever I use the facebook on the Communities app on my 5800 xpress, it saves all the thumbnails that appear on each page into my gallery...which as you can imagine with hundreds of unwanted tiny pics and no mark multiple function is a pain to say the least!
I've tried looking for a setting to turn it off but no luck....anyone got any ideas??

Thats the main reason i stopped using that app, and afaik there no setting to change it, thats the way the application works, better access facebook via operamini and for twitter you have a nice app tweets60(freeware) and gravity

Nokia c2-02 Facebook app?

Hi folks. Trying to get a Facebook app on my Nokia but it gave me an error message saying that my phone settings keep asking for permission for something or other and it won't complete the install. To be honest I forget the exact wording but I'm hoping that some of you technical people will know what it is and be able to advise. It's obviously a setting on the phone that needs tweaked. Anybody clever enough to know what that is based on the useless information I have supplied lol.

Menu > App > Apps and Games > Communities and here you try Facebook.
I believe you alraeady received your network provider settings on your phone.

You can try first to uninstall and reinstall the application. To uninstall app kindly go to Menu > Settings and Application manager. After you uninstall the application, go to Nokia Store and redownload Facebook app.

Nokia Facebook app notifications Cant can't get ...

On Nokia's preinstalled Facebook app (social networks app) I get new notifications and I clicking on the widget I geto to notifications list, but when I click on that new notification, I can't geto to comment/photo/page/group in question! Like there's no link to it. EG: When I click a on notification "John Doe also commented on Jane Doe's on a post in GROUP" to see what was commented only "no available actions" is displayed. And I dont even know how to get to that GROUP through this Nokia's FB app. I have no such when problems using mobile web browser.

Facebook app from Nokia store won't detect data

My Facebook app on my E5-00 will only detect the wifi at my house and nothing else. So, when I'm away from home I cannot access this app... The settings on the app doesn't provide a choice of what data I want to use, so what can I do? I've already deleted and downloaded again several times with the same results. Help

When you highlight Internet (not open it), does that have a small flag, at the right hand side? That is the default connection which you can change via Options. Now we have checked the destination Internet is the default connection. After that, when you open Internet, do you see an access point which matches your network operator?

Nokia N8 Facebook photos do not appear for all use...

I had this issue using the facebook app with my Nokia N8.
When I browse to a profile and then choose Pictures, a loading screen should show up and display the albums.
For some users, when I choose their profile a tiny black line just appears and pictures cannot be seen.
I have tried this multiple times over the past few weeks, and the same users will always be effected. I think it is because the users have too many pictures and cause the script to fail, but this is just a hunch.
Anyone else have this issue?

5230 Facebook App not loading news feed properly

I've had the 5230 for a couple of happy months but now the preinstalled Facebook app has gone a bit weird. It connects as normal and most things work except the most important one - the news feed! When it loads, I end up with a blank screen where the feed should be. To add insult to injury, I thought I'd try Nokia for Facebook & Twitter for Ovi store but when I download, it sticks on 0%.
I can access Facebook okay on the Snaptu app but that's not as easy on the eye. Anyone else having any probs with the standard Facebook app? So annoying!

Update - Reinstalled app which was a hassle considering ovi insists it is not available for the 5230 even tho the phone comes with it. Prats, making me trawl sites needlessly. Anyway, the news feed loaded again, but when you clicked on "other" for more feed it did not load. Today it will load a 2nd page but not a 3rd. Bizarre. This software blows.

N97 Facebook App Problem

Hello, i just purchased a Nokia N97 and the Facebook Application on the front screen does not work. It keeps saying "incorrect signature".
I can log into Facebook through the web, but would much prefer to use the phone app.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

You can get Facebook app from Ovi Store , would also suggest visiting Nokia Beta Labs and trying Nokia Social messaging Beta. Works well and gives you the option to use Twitter as well, it has a good widget, and more functionality than the original FB widget.

I downloaded nokia facebook client to my n96 and it install the facebook app for me.But any time I tried to login it gives message "invalid app ID".Please any help cuz i like the sis fb app than J2me fb app.Thanks

For how long have you been having this issue with the Facebook app, and what Nokia phone do you have? What connection are you using when accessing Facebook? Please make sure you have a good signal if using data connection, or you can also use Wi-Fi; if your phone supports that type of connection.

Facebook app stopped working

I cannot get my facebook app on my iphone4 to allow me to post status updates or check-in places. It used to work just fine, now it just stopped. It keeps saying the error message below if I try to check in & if I post a status it lets me type and click post, but then the status never shows up. I've emailed facebook support & reported the app problem but nobody (not surprisingly) responded to my complaint. I uninstalled & reinstalled the app and I still have the same problem. Everything is up to date on the phone. Basically the app is just a read only for the news feed & profiles, etc. Any reason why it stopped working or where I can go for someone to fix it??? Thanks!!!

Thank you for your post. Please try and perform a soft reset on your device using *#7780# the security code by default is 12345.
Performing a soft reset will not delete any of your data, however it will restore all your device settings to how they were when new.
If you are still experiencing problems with this app then plug your Nokia Asha 31 into your computer via usb and install(or reinstall) the latest software version using Nokia Suite.

Reinstalling Facebook Apps

after deleting twice facebook apps on my ipad mini, i cannot re install for the third time..but before deleting it, there is another problem, i canoot logged in my fb account so i deleted it and reinstall it, i did it twice..and now i cannot reinstall it..please response..

This happened to my phone last week. (520). I had to have my software re-installed which cost me a lot of money. How the hell can this happen without warning. Im disgusted with Nokia to say the least!!!!!

Is there an Facebook app made especially for N8?

Other Phones have built-in Facebook app, not just a plain browser facebook even when they post the cellphone which they used even indicated there. my FB app in my n8 just open facebook in a link.

There is a dedicated Facebook app available from Nokia store and everything can be done within the app.

I had problem with facebook apps on my new phone I deleted it expecting that I could reinstated easily- been to OVI Store and its not available through there. Any ideas ?
